My name is Medterica, Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

Bojo on the morning show. Quick question. When was it that you said that you, and you tell me the name of the parking company, Remember the valet story that you brought up on the air where you had like a valet double charge you or whatever?

Yes. I didn't say where, and I'm not going to say where.

Okay.

Because I like this place so much. The valet just sucks.

I got scammed by the valet. Was it downtown? Yes.

Was it? Look at me. I'm about to see.

Yeah.

It was?

Yeah. Close, yes. But I think it's the same company. But let me tell you what ended up happening. So tell me if you guys think that this is a scam. So I said to the guy, I go, hey, here, you know what? I'll pay you on my credit card. And he goes, oh, I'm sorry. My card reader is broken. I can't do the credit card thing. And I said, okay, your credit card. Okay. So I pull out money. And literally, I have $130 in cash. Okay? But I have $100 sticking out of there. So the problem is when you have $100 and somebody sees $100 right away, they think that you got a ton of cash with you. Yeah. That you're carrying, you know, around like, you know, casino money. So the guy says to me, he goes, I'll tell you what, just give me $25 cash. And I'm thinking, holy crap, was it expensive to park here? So I gave him the $25 cash. Well, what he didn't understand was that I was going to see how much the valet was because they text me the receipt of the valet. My receipt for the valet was $16. The guy asked me for $25. So what I did was I actually wrote an email to the valet company. You know how it has on there? It says up on here.

When they give you the ticket?

Yeah. Well, on this receipt, I click on it and it says comments and complaints and help. So I clicked on the thing and here's what I wrote. I said, and I did it from my Mojo email.

I can't believe you actually did this.

Oh, I'm proud of myself. I'm proud. I got it all right here. I wrote an email and I said, scammed in the subject. And I said, I parked at your location today and the valet told me that there was no card reader to do my credit card and asked me to pay in cash. I paid $25 cash. Why is it this receipt shows that the parking was a lot less? And I put the receipt in there, the $16 receipt. That guy got a good tip. That's a great tip, don't you think? Gratuity included.

I'm telling you, I turned my car right back around and I confronted him face to face when it happened to me. I really felt so ripped off.

To me, the-

I mean, I was ripped off.

The part that bothers me is when you get scared.

Do you know you got scammed? And I know you actually turned around and did that whole thing. For me, I was home when I saw this whole thing. I wanted to drive right down for that money. Like, I wanted to go there. It's so violent.

And then you're like, do I look that stupid?

Don't answer that.

They probably saw it with everybody, to be honest with you.

We all look stupid. Cav, you wouldn't fall for this, would you?

I mean, I probably have and just never looked at the receipt. Yeah.

But also the assumption, the assumption that it was, that it was, that you were going to get that, like, that you were even going to give a tip, let alone a great tip like that too.

This sounds like it's a bot. can you provide me with some additional details regarding the type of assistance that you're needing? This is definitely a bot.

Well, now I'm even more mad.

Could you provide me with the receipt payment regarding your issue of $25? they, Maybe they, they just use keywords. Um, once we have the information, we'll be able to resolve it as quickly as possible. I understand that your time is valuable and I truly appreciate your cooperation in advance. look at the email you dumb do not you know i love that we get angry at like siri and alexa the other day i was trying to put a calendar like a reminder yeah on my way to work and it's he now for some reason siri is a man in my car but he was like getting it wrong getting it wrong and so finally i screamed f you and it put f you at 9 a.m on my calendar can i uh tell you though when it comes

to stuff like this my favorite passive aggressive thing to do is highlight the entire ritual message forward it to that response and say please see above yeah but not just like a portion of it like

You'll get what you want. So the same exact thing happened. You got double charged, but they tried to pretend like that was the only charge. It's crazy.

going on i had a run-in with uh parking valley company downtown detroit as well over the summer

where was it can you say no no no don't say it don't say we're not we're not saying why do you

want to do it's like an incomplete story yeah but what if one of them like like shannon said works with us and the valet has nothing to do with the company and now one of our clients is upset

Why would they be upset? It has nothing to do with them like you said.

Well, this gets bigger. So I'm currently working with an attorney because when I picked up my vehicle the next day after checking out, I didn't realize that they hit something with my vehicle and they covered it up by spray painting it. Oh, my God.

Oh, that's bad. That is crazy.

The fact they had spray paint on day, that is nuts.

So what does your attorney say can happen? And are you going to get some damages for that?

Well, I didn't discover it until a day later. So when I took it down there and confronted the valet service myself, one of the attendants admitted that they had discussed it in a group text chat the night it happened. And I filed an incident report. and I'm waiting for them to pay for the damage and that's been since July and they won't send me the money. So I'm currently taking charges.

because that can be very, very expensive. Yeah.

Yeah, and it's also time consuming now. It's just taking up all your time. That's ridiculous. Let us know.

You know, all these systems are built to try to get as much money off of people as possible without them actually, you know, finding out right then and there. Well, it's a scam.

But here's the deal. I don't believe that this valet company did it. I believe the guy did it. I think the one guy just kind of screwed me.

And honestly, that's what I'm saying. Yeah. It's the people who work for them. They know the ins and outs of how things work. So then they try to get in whatever little finesse that they can.

And here's the deal. Well, if the guy said to me, hey, man, you know, it's a $16 charge. I'd love like yesterday I was talking about the Uber guy that was trying to get more of a tip by telling me a sob story. It's like, just give me good service. You brought my car to me. Everything looked like it was good. I'll give you a tip, man. I think that the problem is when you just scam somebody like that, they got a bad taste in their mouth, you know?

You know, and it ruins the generosity that people like us, we want to give back to people who do such services. But then when they do stuff like that, it kind of just ruins the whole taste.

okay so yeah downtown um i was trying to take a spot it was super crowded i was trying to take a spot that was not in valet and then the valet team literally drove across the sidewalk all the way up in front of me just to take the spot so i ended up um calling in and he got fired

the next day oh you told on him and the guy got five see i don't want to see this person got fired oh the whole team damn oh my god i don't want to see this guy get fired but i don't i just think you know if he's doing this this is adding up i think i should get help me hank to like go there with me oh my god and take hank out hank winchester or like or you know whoever i mean i love hank
