done this topic like really early in the morning like first uh call because this topic i think would be better with the listeners that are literally with us starting at 6 a.m. or 5 o'clock for the warm-up show, but you are good enough, too, okay?

00:02:05 - 00:02:07 | Speaker 4:

I'm talking to you, funeral, Tom.

00:02:09 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 3:

You know, you've heard of FOMO, right? You know what FOMO is? Yeah. Fear of missing out. Yeah. I have, I would hope that this is how you pronounce it, FOSMO, which is fear of summer missing out or phos yeah maybe i don't know how it is i have the fear like i think some other people do of fosmo maybe yeah fosmo is a little better it sounds fosmo sounds like fosmo it sounds like a guy that's that uh it's fosmo uh parasitis like a guy's name or whatever like it's not

00:02:47 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 5:

sounds like a beautiful italian man with good hair fosmo wears a speedo yeah so i um i have a

00:02:55 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 3:

summertime fear that i don't know if you or any of our listeners have ever experienced and that is the i've got to wake up to go to work the next morning and all my friends uh all my family my neighbors are all out having fun and it's summertime and it bothers me because like you This happens to you if you have young kids, but it's worse when you're somebody that has friends that go out and party all the time. So last night we were out hanging out drinking and went to eat and then they were all drinking and having fun. And I kind of had one drink early and then I kind of laid off. And then my wife, Chels, had, I think she even had three drinks last night. I haven't seen her do three drinks in the longest time. like she is she's usually like a one and done on this thing because you know she like can't handle uh to to put down three drinks she handled it last night she was good so we'll go out and then everybody will be like oh chelsea why don't you stay with me and uh or stay with us and we'll all like hang out and then we'll go somewhere else and chelsea will kind of give me the look like you know okay are you okay like whatever and last night she didn't she actually came home with me which honestly made me feel like awesome that she did and it's not that i don't want her to have fun but i also i enjoy going to bed with her like i enjoy you don't want her to have fun without you yeah and no that's no no that's not what i meant to say yeah too no no i want i want i want her to have fun but i also like when she's home you know it's kind of like it's the same it's the same situation when your kids aren't home i hate when my kids aren't aren't uh there so she came home and we went to bed and it was it was nice you know like got to to talk before we went to bed and then you know cuddled and fell asleep and um all of that aside I hate this job and I'm gonna tell you why I'm gonna tell you why I hate this job I hate this job because if we had a job that started at nine o'clock in the morning or it was an office job where we could show up late like Thank you. obviously everybody here is today because there's nobody here in the office right now. There's literally two part-time people that are sitting there at a, at a cubicle and there's like not, okay, Doug Podell, Mark the engineer, and that's it. Like, I don't, I don't see anybody else. There's nobody else in this building right now. And it made me sit, sit there and think to myself, I wish that I could stay out and hang with my friends. Like I want to be there and party with chelsea and our friends and i think that the the thing that sucks so bad is we don't have a job also where i can just go you know what i'm just gonna take a personal day tomorrow yeah lydia i'm off tomorrow that's the big piece of it like it sucks that you know we have to prepare to take a day off and when we're not here it becomes a situation right people get all kind of crazy when we're off and we but we plan our days off or we have unexpected things happen to

00:05:55 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

us we have to really all come together and try to figure out a time to take off yeah but that's

00:06:01 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 1:

the bigger thing to me oh i get it all the time especially i have a few friends that don't work so they don't work how do they get that job well they're stay-at-home moms and i'm not saying that it's any easier but i'm saying they don't have to be somewhere at a certain time so like if we're all out all out hanging on my friend lindsey's back patio you know the majority of us are going it's me it's you always me first every single time that i'm going home because i wake up at 3 45 in the morning you know and it kind of sucks and then i it's me the next day texting everyone going what time did everybody stay till because i want to know how many hours of fun i missed out on

00:06:40 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 2:

that was one of the biggest transitions and even like starting this job was the amount of times i had to consider how early i was going to end my night or whether or not i was even going to go because I know how the night was going to go and then having to wake up. I was laying in the bed last night and this was an early night for me. It was between 10 and 10.30. And from my apartment, I could hear people having fun outside. And I was laying there like, that could be me. Yeah, yeah.

00:07:10 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 1:

It's hard too being a parent of kids when you have to go to bed early and it's summertime and your kids don't need to go to bed. And that was me last night where I was in bed. Wes usually goes to bed at the same time I do. and the kids were like well we don't want to go to bed so they stayed up and watched movies downstairs and made like a like put their sleeping bags on the couch and i kept thinking i want to be

00:07:30 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 3:

down there with them enjoying the summer they did it i love women gummy bears like that would

00:07:36 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 1:

that would bother me like but that honestly as a mom i'm like i want to be down there watching

00:07:42 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 3:

you know as a dad too the interesting thing is that i used to get really kind of bummed when the kids were younger and they were doing something fun like i got bummed when the kids were younger and chelsea would be like we're going to do a cedar point you know trip and i'm like i can't go because we got work and honestly i my what i should have done is just taking the day off or taking you know time off but it it again it requires a lot to take days off and to me i'm one of those people where i'd rather take like the week off and be off all week instead of taking a random Wednesday off you know what I mean and I missed out on a lot of field trips and stuff like that too but this is really bumming me out because we have a great friendship group and a lot of our our friendship group we get together during the week one of the people in the group is a retired hockey player and the guy I don't you know it's like the guy's going on strong all the time and he's retired you know and he you know he coaches uh ryan kessler coaches his kid but then i sit there and i go uh and i go damn man like i i don't i wonder like if this will be the same like when i'm not working anymore if i'll still have all the friends that still want to go out and party all the time and i'll do that but i realized the thing i would love is can we start

00:09:03 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 2:

the show at noon like listen like during the summertime at noon in the summer joe in the

00:09:08 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

morning turn to mojo in the midday i'm taking it right let's go but like they're occasionally it would be just nice to be able to like all right can i tell you something though even if

00:09:20 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 1:

our show started at seven or nine i can do it then see not me in my head i'm still thinking

00:09:26 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 2:

it's a school night really i gotta get up for work tomorrow i really would shanna what time you wake up 3 45 that is a hell of a difference from waking up at 6 45 yeah i know but because

00:09:36 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 1:

we're used to it but in my head i would even if i had to wake up at six or seven i'd still be like oh i gotta wake up for work tomorrow it's just a mental thing for me on the days where we don't

00:09:45 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 2:

have to work and your body just naturally wakes itself up when that happens at 6 45 or 7 i'm so

00:09:51 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

rested like that feels like i've slept in that's my normal time to wake up on the weekend i'm contemplating this is the

00:10:00 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 2:

the thing I'm contemplating uh I'm contemplating that uh I I like do like a summertime thing where like Howard Stern does it where we only work like three days a week and we get to have long weekends and then we get to randomly no we tape two shows on Thursday like all the talk shows do let's test let's phone it in no let's test it out actually you know what's funny is there's a lot of people a lot of the guys that i'll hang out with and and we'll go out with we'll go well why don't you just do the show from home i can't do it i don't like i love coming down here yeah the hardest part of like i'm okay with staying like i stayed out late last night i stayed out until i don't think i got to bed till like 10 30 11 o'clock um i had the hardest time not waking up this morning i had the hardest time driving the lodge this morning because i by the time i got in the car i was so tired like i was fine waking up i knew it was my alarm i had to get up but then when i'm driving that you know 40 minutes or so to get to work i'm like don't you know let that car drop i did by the way that super cruise mike porter gordon chevrolet but bing what's going on poncho i haven't heard from you in a while poncho where have you met everywhere and anywhere what's going on buddy i know this is a wah wah wah or wah wah wah like people are people are probably listening to this going you know go screw yourself why are you you know complaining but i this is like real stuff i don't know if other people experience this in in their lives where responsibilities take over and you can't go have fun like the rest of your

00:11:34 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 3:

friends i know your struggle very much much i'm up at two o'clock every day for work and even on the weekend. I go to bed between 7 and 7.30. I wish I could go out and do more stuff, especially on the weekend. What do you do,

00:11:49 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 2:

Poncho?

00:11:51 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 3:

I'm a milk fan. I deliver milk to the store. Are you a rooster?

00:11:56 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 2:

He's doing the best. He's milking cows. You know what? That's got to be tough.

00:12:01 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 3:

I'm delivering the milk to the store.

00:12:03 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 2:

No, I know that. 2 a.m. is way worse. Although, at 2 a.m., what time does your day end? so there are friends of mine that complain with me and they're like why are you why are you bitching and moaning you can actually get to an 11 o'clock tea time and it is true like we do have the luxury of we can go to our kids stuff in the midday yes and we don't miss it like some of the other parents do and we can actually go i can go golfing if i want to in the middle of the day during the summertime and I can have like fun and do you know all kinds of stuff but it is a struggle like when everybody's out having fun at night like we have friends that sit there and sit around a fire at night and they'll like just sit around have drinks and stuff and I'm like man this sucks you know and all the fun stuff happens after you leave right when I leave especially when I'm gone every time I know Justin what's happening hi hey what's up justin i thought of another one justin i'm going to concerts during the week

00:13:10 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 1:

sucks okay i'm going to one on sunday night and already i'm like i'm gonna be so tired on monday

00:13:15 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 2:

or tigers games you know i want to go to a tigers game or a pistons game during the school year but uh justin i'm sorry what were you gonna say

00:13:23 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 3:

oh yeah i was doing the same day man i take my job in the day i'm a welder in summertime boy It's so hot here.

00:13:32 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

00:13:33 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 3:

I can't imagine. You never want to come. You never want to come. I get up from four in the morning, man.

00:13:38 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 2:

That, your job is way harder than our job. I mean, the fact that you're working as a welder.

00:13:44 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I heard y'all talking about that this week. I heard y'all talking about this this week.

00:13:47 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:13:47 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 3:

The temperature can go over 111 degrees every day. It's brutal.

00:13:51 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Yeah, why am I complaining? I'm such a, I, literally, I'm such a. I got your life, bro. It's okay. I'm a dickhead. No, I, uh, I, that's, it's, you have to, what else I'm going to do?

00:14:08 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 3:

Dickhead.

00:14:10 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, buddy. I appreciate it. I appreciate your, uh, your calling, man. Um, texture here, uh, says, uh, here, here we go. What time do you really want to go home? Mojo? You normally, if you were off on the weekends or home early, This is true. You know what?

00:14:29 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 1:

Dickhead.

00:14:30 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 2:

That is kind of true, although I stay out late on the weekends. People don't understand it. People think I go to bed early. Our weekends consist of us, you know, same situation. You know nothing good happens when somebody says, let's go to West End or let's go to, you know, Bar 1529 or whatever the hell it's called in Hagerty Road. You do stay out late, though. When we decide that we're all going to just go to some place that stays open until 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock in the morning. You stay out late. I remember driving down...

00:15:00 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 1:

eight mile one day past like this male strip club and i saw you stumbling out at like one in the

00:15:04 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 7:

morning i'm like oh my god it's stars you know why do you gotta be so mean what do you mean

00:15:14 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 1:

you stay all late what is that song why you gotta be so mean Rude. Why you got rude? Yeah. Hey, what's up, Jessica?

00:15:24 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 2:

Hi, first time long time. Hey, Jessica on the phone.

00:15:29 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 1:

What's happening?

00:15:32 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 2:

So I clean salons every Sunday, so I never get Sunday fun day. But if I do, Monday morning is definitely not fun day, waking up at 3 o'clock to clean.

00:15:44 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 1:

I know. Yeah. I know. Like that's, that's honestly the equivalent of what I'm talking about, but you know what in your job is harder. Definitely. I sit in a chair and rest my, you see the videos ever of us, like when we're on live on YouTube right now on Facebook, I'm a big fat guy that just sits here and your forehead looks great and, and talks on the radio for a living. Like there's no heavy lifting that's going on, uh, on here, you know, but.

00:16:15 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 2:

Well, carrying the conversation is heavy lifting.

00:16:19 - 00:16:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Well, thank you for doing your cleaning that you do. I'm sure that the salons love you. What's up, Olivia? Hi.

00:16:26 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 3:

Hi. How are you guys?

00:16:27 - 00:16:28 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's up?

00:16:29 - 00:16:50 | Speaker 3:

Good. I was just calling because I drive a garbage truck, so I also have to wake up really, really early. I think I wake up at 2.30 most days. Oh, my gosh. I drive around all day watching people pack their cars to go to the beach. I see kids outside playing in the pool and the sprinklers, and I'm just like, I want to clock out and go home.

00:16:50 - 00:16:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Wow, that's unbelievable. Who do you work for? What company do you work with?

00:16:55 - 00:17:01 | Speaker 3:

I work for a locally owned small business over in Whitehall's Twin Lake area. It's called Chester's.

00:17:01 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 1:

Okay. That's cool that they have a female garbage woman.

00:17:06 - 00:17:08 | Speaker 3:

I don't think I've ever seen a garbage woman.

00:17:08 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You know? That's awesome.

00:17:10 - 00:17:13 | Speaker 3:

And me and my mom both do it, so it's two of us.

00:17:13 - 00:17:33 | Speaker 1:

Whoa, fantasy. Wait, you thought it was a porn there for a second. I like it. Mom and daughter. Take him out. You know, I've never, ever gone on the keyword on Pornhub and keyword garbage man. Do they have garbage man porn? It's under Recycle. What's up, Patrick? Hi, what's going on?

00:17:34 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 6:

Hey, guys. I just wanted to say you guys have every right to complain. I work from home, and they're calling me into the office three days a week, and I'm already complaining and looking for a new job.

00:17:45 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. Work from home life.

00:17:47 - 00:17:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, these people that work from home, you guys go suck a D. Suck a D. I'm telling you. Work from home life is real, dog.

00:17:57 - 00:18:01 | Speaker 7:

I mean, we are five years past the pandemic, guys.

00:18:01 - 00:18:02 | Speaker 1:

Megan, what's going on? Hi.

00:18:04 - 00:18:07 | Speaker 7:

Hey, you could be your own boss. Yeah. Make up your own hours.

00:18:07 - 00:18:10 | Speaker 1:

You know? Is that what you do? Now you're talking.

00:18:11 - 00:18:15 | Speaker 7:

Yes, I clean houses. So you have to scrub people's dirty toilets, so you might not want that.

00:18:16 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 1:

As Chelsea, you can attest to, I don't even clean my own house. So that would be a tough one.

00:18:22 - 00:18:24 | Speaker 7:

That's why you've got to hire me, Mojo. There you go. That's why you've got to hire me.

00:18:24 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 1:

There you go, Megan. All right.

00:18:26 - 00:18:27 | Speaker 7:

Have a great day, fellas.

00:18:27 - 00:18:31 | Speaker 1:

Thank you, Megan. Have a good night. I appreciate you. Hold on. What's up, Rick? What's up, Rick?

00:18:33 - 00:18:43 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo. Hi. Hey, I was just thinking, in the summertime, why don't you stagger the times you guys start your morning show? Do like a 7, a 9, 7, 9, 7. Oh, my gosh.

00:18:43 - 00:18:44 | Speaker 7:

People would be so mad.

00:18:44 - 00:18:58 | Speaker 1:

It is routine. If you can pass that by Tony Travato at iheartmedia.com, will you send him an email and tell him that we want to start the show a little bit later and stagger it, Rick? I can do that.

00:18:59 - 00:19:01 | Speaker 4:

I want to see Tony get the email.

00:19:02 - 00:19:08 | Speaker 1:

Rick from Fremont. Send it to you. Dear Tony Travato, what's happening, Michael? How you doing?

00:19:08 - 00:19:41 | Speaker 5:

i'm good man first time what's up i'm a truck driver over here uh in northwest ohio and i wake up at like 5 a.m 4 30 in the morning 5 30 it varies and it's very different every day yeah but i have to have like five alarms set dude and I haven't, like, 501, 502, 503. I feel the struggle, bro. You're not alone.

00:19:41 - 00:20:01 | Speaker 1:

Now, you know what, man? Again, like I said to the garbage woman that we were talking to just a couple of minutes ago, you guys have real jobs. You know what I mean? By the way, is there truck driver porn? Have you? It's called shifting gears. I mean, do they have that? What's up? Again, I'm fascinated by this.

00:20:04 - 00:20:15 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Vaughn? How you doing, Vaughn? Hey, what's up, man? I'm sorry for having this as my, this is my Megan Minute. What's going on?

00:20:16 - 00:20:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Oh, no, that's all good. It's all good. I just wanted to make a comment, man. You know, you guys are all talking about you got to work and you're missing a party. You ain't missing nothing. Why do you say that? Because, you know, I've been there. I've done that. I've been everywhere, man.

00:20:43 - 00:20:44 | Speaker 4:

So you've been there.

00:20:44 - 00:20:55 | Speaker 2:

There's no way. There's always something to talk about. But, you know, when you look back at it, it's like, well, I wish I went home. You know what?

00:20:55 - 00:20:57 | Speaker 4:

That's actually not a bad point.

00:20:57 - 00:21:02 | Speaker 2:

When you wake up in the morning and you're not hungover, it is nice.

00:21:02 - 00:21:15 | Speaker 4:

There is honestly, there's a little bit to say about the fact that the next morning, everybody's slow and it ruins them for the day. And, you know, and I feel okay. But with that said, what kind of porn?

00:21:18 - 00:21:39 | Speaker 3:

Bubba Wallace here from 2311 Racing. You know what's slower than a pace car? Waiting at the car wash. That's when I fire up Chumba Casino. It turns those slow minutes into fast fun.
