that uh my wife chelsea put together uh to celebrate the fact that in october i'm going to be inducted into the national broadcasting radio hall of fame yeah and so she wanted to throw a party for me but also she wanted to throw a party where we could have all the people from the radio station get together along with all of our you know great advertisers that we have here at iHeart and it started off as that because it's not like family like i don't have like my kids coming in for this or my brothers and sisters and everybody from chicago we're going to do something in october for that one and you guys will be part of that too because you guys are coming to chicago this one was kind of like hey we appreciate what everybody that's going to be there tonight has done to help get to this point um so it's really cool and actually it's really really nice you know the first people she invited was my first advertisers of this radio show and that was uh vince and joe lucido and now fran lucido the lucido family and so it's kind of cool to see all the people that are on this guest list, salespeople here from the radio station, past salespeople, some on-air people that have been part of this radio station, and of course, been part of our show over the time, so it's going to be fun. Well, long story short, then it all of a sudden became Chelsea and I randomly just inviting people when we've been drunk, so Chelsea and I have had a great summer of drinking, she with her Ocho tequila me with my uh you know whatever type of bourbon I'm into that uh that night Old Forrester or Four Roses and we'll just randomly just tell people hey you should come to the party so it's kind of turned into us kind of like throwing in some the mix of some people so I feel bad for anybody that we haven't invited that's somebody that we really really know that we would have invited but it was not intended at this they were not in front of you when you were drunk no like to show you how random it is and and i bring this up because i think this could be a funny uh set of calls if we get some good calls on this i'd like to know who's the most random person that you ever just invited over to your house because i had a moment that was so random and it was i went to bell tire to go get my uh oil change our oil change for my son's car and so i go into the

bell tire and i am at bell tire talking to the guys in the you know little loungy lobby area that they have there where they got all the tires on display and they got their little snack area where you know seats where you can sit while your car is getting worked on and the guy who helped me with belt at bell tire was like the coolest guy i ever met or met his name was dave and he was like really really cool with me and we were having fun and i'm talking to him about you know stuff and he was talking about the show and he was talking about you guys he was like man he goes one of those nights i got to come to one of your parties and i'm like you know what oh my god

i got an idea so dave's coming tonight i go on august the 22nd my wife is having a little party

for me and i said to him i go uh can you clean yourself up you know can you can you uh can you uh wash wash your hands of the uh of the motor grease the motor oil that's on their hands and can you come to this party? And he is invited to the party. So he was like all excited. And I totally forgot I actually invited him. And that was in a sober moment.

Yeah.

Okay. Cause I have, I've invited people in a not so sober moment. I invited people when I went to the Shane Gillis show and actually did something I shouldn't have been doing, which was the illegal narcotic.

Right.

But, but long story short. Yeah. It's, it's kind of weird. So there's going to be people that are going to be there and we're going to be going, Oh my God. Do you remember we invited them?

But this does not surprise me at all about you because, and Kev, this was before your time with the show. We used to have a slew of interns all the time working with us on the show and a new intern would come in and I'd be like, hey, what's your name? Oh, I'm Charlie. How did you fall into this internship? Oh, I gave Mojo's burrito bowl at Chipotle. It was like always the most random story of Mojo meeting somebody out and then all of a sudden they were our new intern or assistant or something. So this makes sense to me that tonight it's going to be like the day from Bell Tire.

All it takes is, hey, I always wanted to be in radio.

I want you to know, I learned how to ride a bicycle. This is no joke. When I said to my dad one day, I go, I wonder how I'll ever ride a bicycle. My dad's like, we'll do it right now. I was like a kid. I think I was the first kid in my neighborhood. But it was one of those things where it's like, why wait for tomorrow when you're not ever guaranteed it, right?

I felt like the Bell Tire thing was, like, your way of bringing your newfound love for the show Tires into, like, your real life. And now you can hang out. The two worlds coexist.

Which is actually kind of funny because I do commercials for Bell Tire, and I love Bell Tire. But I actually have found myself really realizing that a lot of the people that are just the random people that you encounter over a course of a time, as much as anything. You know what? I'm a customer. You listen to us. You're a customer. Let's have it together. Well, Don Barnes is going to hopefully be there. I don't know if he's coming or not, but I invited him. He's the owner of Bell Tire. Sometimes randos can make the event fun. Randos are the best fun. Yeah. And by the way, Brian Reeve from Planet Fitness, no, you are not a rando. Yeah, I was having a housewarming party, and the judge delivery guy, he seemed like a chill guy. So I was like, yeah, when you get off your shift, you can come by.

That is incredible.

He showed up around midnight, and for the next hour and a half, all he did was sit in my living room and pet my cat. Oh, dear. I'll put him drinks. Just did it most anti-social person ever. And, I mean, that's his vibe. That's his vibe. But that's what happened.

Buddy, that might be the – I don't think I can get a better call than that one, but that may be the best call that we'll get.

Did you guys hang out after that night?

wants to see him again right your cat was never the same after that you know what's funny it's it's funny that you you say that and i know you're joking but it's still true whenever people come over to my home i'm always amazed at the people that will enjoy my animals more more than anything like you're all of a sudden you're like okay this person i can't believe is just enjoying Henry and Louie right now at this time. I am a member of a free local Facebook group, and my husband and I threw a Friendsgiving dinner, and so many people from that group showed up because I just made a post, and everybody brought a dish. There was so much food, and everybody had fun. It was fantastic. That is a great story.

Probably close to 100, I'm sure.

Oh, that's cool. That is so cool. You're the type of person that I would invite to this party. Somebody texted in and said, it wouldn't surprise me if Mojo invites Stanley from the 5 at 6.55 to the party. Who do you think is popping out the cake? People do this at weddings, too. A texter here said, my husband and I were getting married. the guy that we met when we were hanging out picking out all of our stuff for our wedding

came to our wedding west did that remember when we were having our wedding party and he was inviting like the bartender from the restaurant we were at that's right you can't do that we were like we have family not coming because we had a account that we had to be under do you remember

when you had your dances at school and the kid in school that you'd never expect to like put on a suit put on a suit or something or you had like your graduation and the kid that always every single day came to school with like the the deaf leopard shirt all of a sudden is wearing like a nice outfit like when you see people in nice outfits that you normally don't see yeah it's kind of like that when i've had parties or we've gone to like weddings and stuff and all of a sudden you're like like could you imagine seeing lester in a suit like from oh yeah let's probably clean But it's kind of wild. All of a sudden, you see the promo kid or whatever walking around. Well, Nick. But doesn't it surprise you, though, when you first see it? You're like, hold on a second. I don't see that. The janitor at school, I'll never forget this. I'll never forget graduating from St. Michael's and Mr. Ferris, who is our janitor, to the 8th grade graduation that we had put on a suit. I never saw Mr. Ferris in anything but those brown pants with that tan shirt that was like the work guy's shirt.

And 68 keys.

Keys hanging around, right? Tennis balls. You know what I mean? Like you're sitting there the whole time going, and then Mr. Ferris had a Mrs. Ferris. And you ever see like your teachers or any of that stuff with their significant others? Their spouses, yeah. And you're all surprised, so. We don't have to wear suits tonight. No, no, no, no. People have been asking me what I'm wearing. I don't know what to wear. Honestly, I'm wearing shorts. I know people don't think that's crazy. It's going to be 80 degrees today, and it's going to get down to, like, 70s tonight. I want to enjoy it. Okay, so no suits. And we're having it in a place where there's a patio and stuff like that and fire pits and all that stuff. So it's going to be fun. Okay. All right. It's going to be a good time.
