It's Mojo on The Morning Show. What is this that I heard? I heard you having a conversation with Lydia and Bianca before we got on the air. I am the reason why you had a bad night or something last night.

00:01:26 - 00:02:17 | Speaker 2:

Well, not necessarily a bad night. No, you something you said has made me very self-conscious and really question who I am as a human being. Whoa. So I love a good glass of wine. This is not a secret to anybody listening to this radio show right now or anybody in this room. And I never usually will shy away from having a glass of wine on, let's say, a random Monday night. So I go to open this bottle of wine. Wes is away. He's on a business trip this week. It's just me and the kids. And I'm like, you know what? It's been a long day. I would love a good glass of wine. I go to open the bottle and then it hit me. I remember something that Mojo said in the studio about how he wanted a drink on, I don't know what day it was last week, like Wednesday or something. and chelsea told you that you're not allowed to drink during the week because oh no what did she

00:02:17 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 4:

say no she didn't tell me that i wasn't allowed to drink she and she actually uh she's i said to her i go yeah i go i don't know why i'm drinking during the week or whatever the deal is and chelsea said something like that well then why are you drinking like she basically she kind of like it wasn't she wasn't like telling me that i was that i was uh had a drinking problem i have a drinking problem but it was the way that um like if she like i i was i was kind of wanting her to go yeah

00:02:44 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 2:

have a drink but it wasn't like yeah i thought about this conversation because you were sharing with us right and i'm like oh god is something wrong with me because it's i really don't have an occasion to open this bottle of wine but i really really really want to yeah we're getting hammered i was not about to get hammered with my children but i wanted one glass but honest to god I stood there and I was like, I don't think this is a good idea.

00:03:11 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 4:

Wait, is it weird to say this? This is actually interesting. This is a good topic to bring up. Is it weird to say this, that pre-COVID, I would never have thought of having a drink on any other day but Friday or Saturday night? I'm with you. Maybe a Thursday. And then all of a sudden, COVID came and it was like COVID cocktails. I'm COVID cocktailing it. Everybody did. Yeah. You can't blame it on COVID. Well, I'm blaming everything on it. It changed my life. It made my wiener smaller.

00:03:41 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 2:

It can't be a scapegoat. And then I'm like checking the time. I'm like, is it? All right, it's 530. That's appropriate. So what did I do? Did I open the bottle line or did I not? Yeah, what did you do? Because I felt so shamed.

00:03:53 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you know he did. Did you? Absolutely. I heard the quirk from my house.

00:04:01 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 2:

Ready to party.

00:04:04 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 4:

Wait, and Wes wasn't home?

00:04:08 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 2:

No, Wes is away in a business trap.

00:04:10 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 4:

So that's the other thing, too. Drinking by yourself is a weird one. Why? Because if I have a drink by myself, like if I'm having a drink and nobody's home at all, I feel very lonely if I'm drinking by myself. I don't.

00:04:23 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 2:

I feel very warm inside. And by the way, shout out to Top Shelf Liquor in Allen Park right there on Allen Road. I know they're huge listeners. I bought the bottle of wine from them when I was with my dad last week. So I was like, you know what? Okay. No better occasion to open it than a random Monday night.

00:04:39 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

So our old neighbor from the old neighborhood came over last night. I used to love our old neighborhood. It was the best neighborhood ever. It was like everybody, all the kids would go to everybody's homes. The adults all hung out with each other. It was like every Friday, Saturday night, we used to call each other on our way home from work on Friday and go, where are we hanging tonight? Like we knew.

00:05:00 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 6:

It was like, um, our old neighbor, Ken came over yesterday in the afternoon to return something that, uh, Ken and Marsha borrowed from, uh, Chels. And, um, I was just home by myself and Ken is at the door at like three 45, four o'clock in the afternoon. And Ken comes in and I'm like, can we drink at four o'clock in the afternoon? Duh. Yes, we can. Yes, you can. So I opened up, uh, opened up a bottle of, uh, the, uh, the four roses and, uh, Ken and i each had a cocktail and then i realized to myself i'm like this is kind of nice the sun is still out like it was you know it felt like summertime to me even though it felt like not summertime outside but um is is there okay here's the question to ask is it bad to drink during the week and are how many drinks do you have during the week like are you somebody that like will will you drink there are some people i know that drink every night yeah and i'm like good for you

00:05:55 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 5:

every night's too much I feel like that's a little bit of a once it leaves from I'm gonna have something to it's sounding like you're depending on it in order to relax or to have a good time or to enjoy yourself

00:06:10 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 6:

people smoke every day smoke every day what's going on Ashley

00:06:18 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 4:

hi not much I was just listening to your stuff and just talking it's true I I haven't smoked weed until I, COVID.

00:06:26 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, see that? It turned into, you know, making you do some stuff. Question for you, do you smoke every day? Because if you do, it'll make me feel good about wanting to drink every day.

00:06:36 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 4:

Pretty much, pretty much.

00:06:38 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 6:

Do you really? Yeah. What are you? Are you a vape penner or what are you?

00:06:43 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 4:

No, just flour.

00:06:45 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 6:

Okay, what is that? I don't know. A tree, flour. Oh, just flour. Okay, so you're actually, is it like a joint joint? Or where do you smoke it out of?

00:06:54 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 5:

Like a pipe or something? She'd be rolling them zigzags. You really? No, I usually just roll joints.

00:06:58 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 6:

Joints make me feel like I'm smoking cigarettes. I can't do it. And for some reason, smoking a cigarette doesn't seem cool to me.

00:07:04 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 5:

I think it's healthier than a swisher, though.

00:07:06 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 6:

Is it?

00:07:06 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 5:

Like if you're rolling backwards or something.

00:07:09 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 6:

And then pipe makes me do it. If somebody does pipe, it makes me feel like they're doing crack.

00:07:13 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 4:

I know. See, that's why I can't do that. My dad smokes by different pipes. And I'm like, no, this is too much of a drug thing to me. But I usually get hemp wraps or like the hemp joint papers. Because, yeah, those fishers, I feel like I'm smoking a cigarette, too. Probably because of the tobacco in there.

00:07:26 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:07:27 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 5:

Pipes, there's something regal about a pipe.

00:07:29 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, like it's got to be a pipe pipe. It's got to be like a Sherlock Holmes pipe.

00:07:33 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and it has to hang out of the side of your mouth. Yes. It has to. Tawny, what's up?

00:07:38 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

00:07:40 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So I work third shift, and there's this bar that used to open at, like, 5.30, 6 o'clock in the morning. and a bunch of us would go after work for a drink and we would get the weirdest stares from everybody who was going to get breakfast and we're just ordering cocktails.

00:07:56 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 6:

Wait, there's a bar that's open that early in the morning?

00:08:00 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 3:

It used to be out in Rossford by the casino. Oh my God, that casino crowd.

00:08:06 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 6:

That's insane. I never knew that. That's pretty wild. A six o'clock in the morning bar. You know when I realized I probably should not be having a drink is when I was driving to work on like a Wednesday and I had a little bit of a twinge of what I would call a headache, hangover headache, I'm like, why do I have, oh, God, all right, there's something wrong with me. So I do have to feel, I feel like I have to be careful, especially they say that with these shots that, you know, you're doing and I'm doing for weight loss, they say that you drink less. I don't buy that because I find myself wanting a drink to not eat a sweet or something for some reason. I don't know, like a drink for some reason, I don't know, I would say quenches my thirst, but it satisfies that urge.

00:08:49 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 5:

Do you get drunk faster on the shot? Oh, my God. Like, does it get straight to the bloodstream?

00:08:54 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 6:

I have one, literally one sip of a drink. I feel it right away, where before, I didn't feel it.

00:08:59 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 2:

No, that's not true. Before, you had two sips of a drink, and then you announced that you were drunk to everybody.

00:09:03 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 6:

But it had an umbrella with it, and I was drinking out of it.

00:09:05 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 2:
