Possibility means you have a chance.

00:00:32 - 00:00:55 | Speaker 3:

Passion opens the door to all possibilities. When I feel like anything's possible, I feel kind of giddy. I want to be an astronaut. Be an artist. Be an actress. To visit another country. All I need is a backpack and a pair of shoes, and I'll find a way. That I'm able to do anything I set my mind to. I've never felt like more things are possible than right now. In the right shoes, anything's possible.

00:00:55 - 00:01:35 | Speaker 2:

DSW. Countless shoes at brag-worthy prices. Imagine the possibilities. apply. Need to hire? This is a job for Indeed Sponsored Jobs. All right. It is Mojo in the

morning. I think my wife was the happiest person in the world that I came to work today. She truly was like so excited that I was leaving and going outside of the house after staying home with her for a few days. I do something that I don't know if this is a guy thing. So maybe it is. And maybe Shannon, you experienced this with your husband, Wes, but, um, Chelsea called me out on a thing that I do that I never realized I was doing until she pointed it out. She says that when I do something like a task around the house, a chore or something that I like to call out that I did it. So for instance, when I empty the dishwasher or do the dishes, I will say, Hey, you know, I just did the dishes or, Hey, I just emptied the dishwasher. Or when I go out to the driveway and snowblow the driveway, I'll come in from snowblowing the driveway. And she says, I'll walk in like all red and have snow all over me and go, Hey, I just want you to know, I just snowblow the driveway. Like I make an announcement. And so she was explaining to me that she does so much around our house. Matter of fact, she does way more than I do, but she never announces what she does she just does it and so she was trying to explain to me that when i announce it it's not like it's me you know doing it for just the purpose of doing it it's me doing it for the purpose of getting credit for doing it and uh and so i would like to take this as a task that kevin i would like to hire your services oh for sure what you need well you're the greatest mc i You know, UMC, obviously, all the Pistons and, you know, Spartan basketball games. Would you come to my house and be on microphone when I'm doing it? We could arrange something. And you could actually, like, make announcements, like, go, hey, Chelsea, Mojo is outside right now. Snow blowing the driveway. Exactly. Is that something that guys do? Or is that something that maybe your guy does? Or are there any other people that have ever experienced this with their significant other? Does Wes ever do that? He does a lot.

00:03:46 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 1:

He does a lot. And I have to be very honest. He really does not do that. However, as you're talking, I'm like, shoot, I feel like I'm the one that does that. And the reason is like sometimes he'll be like, hey, how was the show? How was your day? And I feel like more so lately, I'm like, oh, it was good. Ran to the bank, ran to the grocery store, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, did two loads of laundry, da, da, da, da. Cause I, I think part of me wants that, like, wow, you were really productive. And the other part of me is like, Hey, let's have other people do other things to help. Yeah. You know, it's kind of like a, like a plea for, I don't want to be the one doing everything. So I feel like I'm the one that kind of does that.

00:04:29 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 4:

I don't know what it is, Shannon. Maybe it's, it's our occupations or something like that, because we get credit for a lot of stuff that we do do around here at the station. Totally. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like, hey, Tony, I just recorded a commercial, you know, or, hey, I do feel like we do need pats. I need pats on the back a lot, you know, like, because you get praise for a lot of stuff, but sometimes you want them for things that you know you're not really great at.

00:04:54 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 1:

Are you a words of affirmation guy? Do you know your love language? Okay. That makes sense to me because so am I.

00:04:59 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Chelsea.

00:05:00 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 2:

Chelsea actually says, good boy. She talks to me like she's talking to Henry and Louie. She'll give you a dollar after your chores. And I need personal touch, too. I'm a personal touch kind of guy, too. What's up, Doug? How you doing?

00:05:14 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 1:

Doug!

00:05:15 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 2:

How you doing? How are you, buddy? You screamed it. All right.

00:05:19 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 6:

I just wanted to comment on the...

00:05:21 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 2:

Real quick, just a moment ago, we were talking about...

00:05:23 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 4:

I'm a little too excited?

00:05:24 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 2:

Being in a relationship with a guy named Doug. Did you hear that?

00:05:28 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I'm not doing it.

00:05:29 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

would you like to hear the would you like to hear me in a sexy voice call your name out

00:05:37 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 6:

no sir okay all right what's going on oh i just wanted to comment on the um the thing with you doing tasks i think a lot of times women do tasks and they may not say it directly to you but they just announced that they're so tired doing this and they're doing that so sometimes i think man would do the same thing be like oh i did this so you don't have to do it you know so it's like you just announce it and let them know that hey i got your back i'm doing it too yeah i i do think

00:06:07 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 2:

that there are times when i'm doing it purely just to get chelsea to say wow good boy and like give me like a star like you would do a kid but also my star is not like the star that the kids

00:06:18 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 1:

get my star is i want to bake cookies i was gonna say has chelsea said to you yes yeah exactly has Chelsea said to you it turns her on when you help her with stuff around the house before? Because I feel like she has.

00:06:31 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 2:

She has told me that foreplay for me is doing the dishes.

00:06:34 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So this now makes a lot of sense to me.

00:06:37 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Women do like that. Jen, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

00:06:42 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 4:

Hi. So my husband does this, and it drives me insane. Probably for the same reason you do it. But the thing is, it's like that totally turns me off. Like, just do it. Don't say anything. And then, you know, I'm happy because I'm also, my love language is service. So, like, acts of service is my thing, you know? So, yeah, I hate it. I absolutely hate it. I'm like, so what? So freaking what?

00:07:07 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 2:

But I will tell you, it does get worrisome. Hi. Hi there. Who's that?

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 4:

That's Penelope.

00:07:16 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, what a name. We love you. What a great name, Penelope. It does get worrisome to me when I do something and it goes, you know, hours before she even recognizes it. And then I'm like, crap, I don't even think she noticed that I did it. Or maybe I didn't do a great job. What's up, Christy?

00:07:34 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 5:

Hi, good morning. Good morning. So you and Chelsea sound like me and my husband. So my husband needs words of affirmation like all the time. So when he does anything, even if it's wiping a kid's booty, it's like, hey, look what I did. and mine is acts of service so like yeah the more he does around the house the more baking cookies

00:07:56 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 2:

he's gonna get really tell me how we tell or tell us because the kids could be listening how much baking cookies do you get to like what like if he does a ton of things like if he built

00:08:07 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 5:

your house are you guys going at it all the time so honestly i feel like he gets it more than most guys because like my girlfriends and i talk we're in all in our mid-40s they're like once a week and we're still three, four times a week. Holy crap.

00:08:24 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 2:

How's he finding time to do all that work if he's doing you three or four times a week?

00:08:29 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 5:

You know, and we have busy kids. I don't know. We just, we make that time. Lots of therapy.

00:08:36 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 2:

If my wife, by the way, if my wife is listening, and I apologize, I just hit the button by accident, but if my wife is listening, I would literally take a second job at our house as somebody doing things around the house if it was three times a week. Gail, what's going on? Hi, Gail.

00:08:52 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, Mojo. Glad to have you back. I hope you're doing your vacation.

00:08:56 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 2:

Aw, thank you.

00:08:57 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 3:

So, you, I've been listening to you guys for 15 years, and Mojo, you are just like my husband. Is that a good thing? With every little thing you do. Why? Why?

00:09:12 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. It was how I was raised. I was the baby. You know, I was a six-year-old kid.

00:09:16 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 3:

He was an only child, too, and a mama's boy. It's that, too. So I think that has a lot to do with it, but dang it.

00:09:27 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 2:

Gail, I need to give you Chelsea's number, and you should call Chelsea, and you guys could share probably. What's your guy's name?

00:09:33 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 3:

A lot of stories, because I listen to your guys' podcast, and there's so much similarity between your marriage and my marriage. It's ridiculous. It's crazy.

00:09:41 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 2:

It is. By the way, the way you're talking right now. Well, thank you for the call, Gail.

00:09:48 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 3:

Have a great day.
