Hey guys, Bobby Bones here, host of The Bobby Bones Show. I'm always tired because I wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning, but it's all worth it because I get to hang out with all my friends and my studio. We share our lives. We look for as much good in the world as we possibly can with Tell Me Something Good, and we talk through the biggest news stories of the day, and also your biggest and favorite country artists are always stopping by. On the Gulf Coast, check us out on 95KSJ, and lock us in as a preset on the free iHeartRadio app today.

All right, it is Mojo in the morning. So I have been home with Luke by myself, wifeless, for the last five days while my wife has been hanging out with her friend Jenny. uh jenny is from cleveland and chelsea and jenny have just been spending the week together kind of doing like a girl's week and jenny just recently went through a divorce and she had a couple of work things that she had to go to and i don't know if you experienced this uh any of you guys spike or shannon that have gone through divorces but jenny did not want to go to her work functions single and she felt really weird do you remember the first time that you went to

00:01:53 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 1:

work function i mean i went to a lot of home single but um yeah like would you be able to go

00:01:57 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 3:

to an out-of-town business trip that people were bringing their spouses with by yourself the first

00:02:02 - 00:02:08 | Speaker 1:

one afterwards like how weird yes and i mean i did but it's hard it is it is awkward so chelsea

00:02:08 - 00:02:20 | Speaker 3:

so jenny brought chelsea with and they have had like the time of their lives and actually jenny said even if she gets into another relationship she might just bring chelsea with her to every one of them because they've been like having so much fun yeah and like the life of the business

00:02:20 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 2:

trip so long story short i am by myself oh oh where where where stop it i've been by myself

00:02:29 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 3:

the whole week having to fend you know what the hardest part of being by yourself is two things one freaking dogs i gotta like race home all the time to go feed these freaking dogs like i honestly i'm gonna say this to you don't get a dog anybody that wants a dog anybody that wants it or you know get a cat or something something that fends for themselves because they are worse than a baby they're worse than a child trying to take care of number two sleeping i can't sleep like it's tough sleeping without chelsea next to me and it's weird because we had times in our marriage where we slept in separate beds yeah and i was able to sleep and fall asleep great but i've been we've been you know in the same bed now for you know well over a year and a half and been like going to bed at the same time and it's like nice to be able to go to bed and have somebody to talk to. I even miss watching Real Housewives with her. It's been so tough to not be able to have your partner in bed with you. And it's gotten to a point, and I don't know if anybody's ever done this before, that the first couple of nights I could not fall asleep. I had the hardest time. And then I thought to myself, I think I know what it is. her smell I don't have Chelsea's smell next to me so I went into our dirty clothes and she had some dirty clothes that were there in her you know in the the the hamper since you know before she left I grabbed those dirty clothes and I have them laying on the bed next to me and at night I will actually sleep with her dirty clothes yeah is that weird to do I don't think so at all has anybody ever done that uh at all like where maybe even on a business trip or something or went away with friends you brought your significant other or spouses uh you know and don't get weird it's not underwear or anything no i'm like okay no you did that once haven't you all right just making sure there were no underwear in there otherwise i probably would have no there was actually actually it was the the two of the things were the last thing that she was sleeping in so the last thing that she actually went to bed in?

00:04:38 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 1:

I don't do it with Wes, per se, but I do with my kids. When I miss my kids a ton, like when they're, it's an Andrew week because Andrew and I do every other week with the kids. I miss them so much. I'll go into their rooms and they both sleep with tons and tons of blankets and I'll grab, you know, blankets from each of their beds and sleep with them.

00:04:57 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

You feel like they're there with you, right?

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 8:

I mean, no, but it does help.

00:05:03 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 2:

No, but I mean, it gives you at least like the subconscious feeling of a little bit of comfort. Yeah, that you're close to them. And a lot of times, I mean, I actually knew some moms that were friends of ours, that are friends of ours, when their kids were younger and they went through a divorce, they would sleep with their kids' stuffed animals. They would have the stuffed animals in there because they wanted to be able to have it.

00:05:22 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 8:

I've actually done that many, many times.

00:05:24 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Hi, Mojo in the morning. Hello.

00:05:32 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

Hello. How are you there? This is Phil, the Trucker Phil. What's up, Trucker Phil?

00:05:38 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 2:

We are number one with truckers right here, right? Oh, that is such a... Oh, hey, no. I was going to say... I was going to play... I was supposed to be playing a trucker sound there, but it didn't play. Go ahead.

00:05:50 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 4:

All right. Mojo. Yes. Okay, you're listening to this. Okay, hug the pillow when your wife, she leaves down. Hug the pillow and her smell will be in the pillow. I'm telling you, that works for me every time.

00:06:05 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you something? I have her pillow, and I've been hugging it, and I got it there. And I told Chelsea I'd do that, and she was like, eww. Like, it kind of grossed her out a little bit that I was hugging the pillow.

00:06:16 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 4:

Hey, it works. Works for me, I don't know.

00:06:20 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I'll do the pillow thing once in a while. Like, Megan came home super late last night. I was going to bed early, and she was out for work. And so I'm going to snuggle up to the pillow a little bit.

00:06:30 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 2:

Really? Do you ever put that pillow between the legs?

00:06:33 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 3:

No. No.

00:06:34 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

Try it. Give it a whirl. Give it a whirl. Exactly. Julie, hello.

00:06:40 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

00:06:41 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 2:

Hey.

00:06:42 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, guys. So my boyfriend, about a year ago, he started working night shifts. And when I get home from work, I work morning shifts. We have about 45 minutes of seeing each other, so we don't sleep with each other anymore. And I sleep with his shirt at night right next to me.

00:07:00 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

You know, here's an idea. You ever think about wrapping his shirt around his pillow so it looks like it's a human being there?

00:07:06 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 6:

Well, I sleep with all of the pillows when he's gone. Yeah. So there's no pillows to wrap.

00:07:12 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 2:

That's actually – it'd be interesting. You know what? We went to Lovers Lane not that long ago for that little promotion that we did. Do they have a human body? You can wrap them up in your spouse's clothes. I wouldn't be surprised.

00:07:23 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 8:

There was a doll.

00:07:24 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Would that be weird for Chelsea if she comes home and sees that?

00:07:28 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't think they're making those dolls to snuggle.

00:07:31 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Sarah?

00:07:34 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 7:

Hey, how's it going?

00:07:35 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's happening?

00:07:38 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 7:

Not too much. My way to work. I was just calling because I had an ex. We used to live separately, and we would trade pillows.

00:07:46 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:07:47 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 7:

so you got when you guys broke up no when you couldn't be with each other you mean yes so when we couldn't be with each other we'd trade pillows so we could sleep at night because we'd spend the weekends with each other but we were like a 40 minute distance from each

00:08:00 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

other oh and you said when you said x this was when you guys were good right before you broke up yeah okay yeah because that kind of threw me off for a second i'm like going really you broke up with each other and then you guys ended up doing that maddie what's up hey good morning guys good

00:08:15 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 5:

morning what's going on so i'm calling from the kids perspective i have divorced parents and anytime i would go to like my dad's house i would take some of my mom's clothes and bring them with

00:08:26 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 2:

me to sleep with oh that's you never eat yeah i'm gonna cry yeah clothes that were from my mom's

00:08:35 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 5:

house i would keep those on because i smelled like her house wow did was it ever uh weird to

00:08:40 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 2:

your dad that you were bringing his ex-wife's clothes to your house his house well they were

00:08:45 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 5:

never married so i'm really not okay but um no i don't think they really ever knew like i had a bag that i would bring over there so i'd kind of just stuff it bag you know it's interesting i mean both

00:08:55 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 2:

you guys have parents and both you guys have gone through divorce but you hear like her call and it's you you know you think of your kids but you think of them i wonder if they ever have had issues you guys ever talk to them about that like do they ever have issues going back and forth

00:09:09 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 8:

houses oh yeah i think it does get really really tough after a while yeah especially especially with having young kids smith is five i mean he's super go with the flow but lucy's almost nine and she has she definitely has tough days i sunday is our transition day and those days are can be

00:09:25 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 2:

especially tough yeah um this is a little interesting but britney's cat passed away

00:09:31 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 1:

and she missed your cat so much what did you do i would put her yearn on a sweater next to my me in bed and i would sleep with it what did you say urn or urine you're uh urn not urine oh okay we all misunderstood i did for sure yeah so kitty's still with you there

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 3:
