We are done Can I tell you that between Chelsea and myself Luke's last day On the grounds of that school as an actual student, we probably should have gotten kicked off because Chelsea brought with her little mini bottles of Casa Amigos. So they were doing, like, tequila shots. The moms were doing them before the graduation. And then I brought a box of cigars with me because the big tradition that the kids wanted is they want to do the smoke a cigar the last, you know, day that they're on campus, like on the football field. And I know that that's kind of like a thing where high school kids will actually do that. Like the boys will smoke a cigar. But it just felt kind of weird. Even though, like when I turned 18 years old, you could buy tobacco. Nowadays, you can't buy tobacco unless you're like 21. Did you know that?

Wait, I thought it was 18. No. It's 21. It's 21. Wow.

When I turned 18, I was so excited to go buy a pack of smokes even though I never smoked. Like, I bought cigarettes just to say I could buy them. But, like, Luke turned 18 and he can't do that. But they wanted these cigars, which, by the way, I love the social media people. So we posted up on Mojo in the Morning's Instagram and Facebook the pictures from the graduation. And thank you to everybody that was really kind to, you know, us and wishing Luke a congratulations. But also saying balls, you know, the words that he said when he was going into school the first time. And then also saying, you know, very nice things about how, you know, my family is beautiful and stuff. But thank you to those people that wrote, is that a cigar on a school campus? Because I agree with you on that. Because honestly, I felt like I was a drug dealer. Like, I felt that I was walking around with a box of cigars.

A bunch of Luke's friends' dads already gave them cigars. But Luke told me that there were some kids whose parents couldn't get out to go get a cigar. So he asked me if I would go. So I ended up going to the cigar place. Have you ever gone into a cigar store before?

I think I have. Oh, that's right.

Megan, how come these places don't have better ventilation?

Oh, the place I go to has great ventilation. Does it?

Are they smoking in the cigar place, Mojo? Or are they just selling them? Mike, I went in this place called Churchill's, and you go inside the place, you're in there for five seconds buying a lighter or whatever, and you smell like a frickin' dirty cigar forever.

Because, Megan, you probably go to a place that they don't smoke in. No, it's a smoking club. So in the front is a storefront. Upstairs is like a radio broadcasting area, and then in the back there's like lockers and poker tables and recliners and like televisions and stuff. And then out in the back, there's like a grill and a patio area where you can eat.

Yeah, I got to try it. But what's the name of the place?

Okay, so here I am passing it out. Now, I'm going to bring this up because I think this is the topic. Has anybody ever been kicked out of their kid's school or asked to leave a school function or a school event? Because I felt like I was going to be that person on Luke's graduation day or Chelsea would be for bringing little mini bottles of Casamigos and me bringing a box of cigars. And I didn't do it like, hey, kid, you want a cigar? You know, like one of those types of things. I wasn't like, hey, come over here and I'm going to sell you a cigar. Like I was like walking around and I was like to the dads, hey, you know, would you like a cigar to the dads? And, you know, a lot of dads were like, yeah, can I take one? And hey, can I have one for my son? And then some people were like, who's got the cigars? Oh, Luke's dad's got them. Hey, Luke's dad, can I get a cigar? I'm like, you got to get your parent over here. If your parent says it's okay, I'll give him a cigar.

What a good tradition though.

Yeah, it was fun. It was actually really, really cool. I didn't even light my cigar, but Luke lit it, took like three puffs of the thing. And I was like, get feeling sick afterwards. But yeah It's so wild you guys I do have to say this That I talked earlier this morning About how I didn't get emotional Chelsea was the one that really got emotional But the thing that made me the most emotional Was Chelsea put together on her social media A reel in TikTok And the songs that she's picked Are like the most unbelievable

And when you graduated from high school What was that like

It was an incredible experience I remember my mom. I could hear her yelling out all my nicknames. Everybody's screaming, go, Kev. But the thing that I remember the most, and it's also touching because recently we lost one of my favorite teachers of all time. Like, we all have that teacher that we remember that really, you know, made a huge impact on our life. Her name was Miss Sackwack. And I can't say the exact words because it's a curse word. When I got off the stage, she pulled me close and she said, Kevin, don't buck up.

Yeah.

That was her words to me, and it will play in my mind for the rest of my life. But graduation was incredible. You see all your friends. Everybody's happy. The family's there. It's a great time.

At what level does it then all of a sudden turn into you going, and I know that you guys have younger kids, Shannon and Mike and Kevin, but at what point then does it turn to you going, oh my God, fast forward to when Lucy is going to graduate and what that will be

like for you? And I do not want to take away from your story because this is you and Chels and Luke's time. But we are – Smith is graduating from preschool on Thursday. In fact, Megan's coming in to finish out the show for me so I can go to it. And he has like this little cap and gown and stuff. I, just thinking that he's about to go off to kindergarten and be in the same school as Lucy, am a freaking mess. Yeah. Because I look at them and especially Lucy lately. I look at her. I'm like, what in the actual F is happening? You are this little baby. Like, I look at my nieces and I'm like, wait, that's supposed to be Lucy. How is Lucy, that girl over there? Like, it's just, it's mind-blowing how fast it goes.

And I hate to sound like this for you and all those people that are out there that have younger kids. Honestly, enjoy every freaking painful moment. Even the painful things that you got to do. You know, even the, you know, I got to go to their school tonight for that. You know, are I going to do that? enjoy it because somebody said something to me that really played with me a lot in my head because I didn't listen but somebody said to me it will be over it'll be like that song don't blink it will be over within in like a second like it will be here and I guys I don't remember the last three years now mind you we had COVID for a couple of those years so that was the thing that kind of sucked but still though it just flew by and if I could do it all over again I told Chelsea I said where would you go back to and she was like when you know right when we became parents for the first time I'm like no because then I wouldn't want it to be

Like if all of a sudden we didn't have all three kids You know if like you had like a time machine I'd like to go back to the day that Luke was born You just gotta do it

And our family was that way Mama KP did have another baby at 42 Then you got another 18 years

Actually speaking of graduation There was a girl in my high school She was one of my great friends Unfortunately I've kind of lost touch with her But on graduation day her mom told her That she was pregnant And her dad had a vasectomy And it was like a huge Oopsie surprise And so she I will never forget that Her saying my mom just told me she's pregnant

Oh my god that should be a bet we do I'll call Luke up and tell him that mom's pregnant And we're about to have another baby Enjoy college son Can we do this real quick Can we shout out Our graduates no matter what they're graduating from like just a quick, quick one. I'll just do some quick phones. If you got a graduate that's graduating from anything, it can be honestly as, you know, young as graduating from preschool, kindergarten, whatever it might be. Um, but let's shout them out because here's the thing that you don't realize with these high school kids. And I didn't realize it until their valedictorian talked in school. Um, and they're the class president talked, they were the kids that got first affected by COVID and going home. Yeah. So they were the kids that had to go home for, you know, the year. Yeah, my daughter, she's graduating preschool today, and I'm a mess. I'm a little because I'm pregnant, so she's been worse today for me.

My son, Cody Beck, he just graduated. He went to Toledo Early College High School also, so he ended up spending about seven years at UT and could not have been more grateful to get out of there. But he graduated with a degree in computer science and engineering as a minor in business. He just worked so hard and is so hard on himself that I just wanted to know how proud his dad and I are of him.

Yes, I am a little bit. I'm so proud of the boy. He's worked really hard to get where he got to, and he's just amazing.
