This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:06 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 6:

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. These past two years, things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.

00:01:51 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 4:

00:02:14 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 8:

I was just reading this. I was thinking, do I do trending news? I'm like, it's really not a, you know, we chanted and covered everything in the dirties. It was a good dirty day, so I don't think we got it. And then I saw this one story. I just wanted to bring this up real quick, and then we can either get to another topic or just end the show. This just shows you how horrible this world is. Eight in ten men think AI could replace their real girlfriends.

00:02:41 - 00:02:42 | Speaker 7:

Oh, hell no.

00:02:42 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 8:

Did you see yesterday, there was a big story that came out. The stock market really took a tumble, and a lot of the cryptocurrency took a tumble because China has developed, I guess, like some ultimate AI. I don't know that stuff very well. Like I just put AI on my phone. I got it on the new iPhone.

00:03:02 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm scared to do that.

00:03:03 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 8:

I can't figure the goddamn thing out. I still can't figure it. I don't know how to do it. Like I still won't change my font on my text to a bigger font, even though I can't read half my text messages because I refuse to be old. Like I refuse to be a 54-year-old guy.

00:03:17 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 5:

And that does scream old if you have the big font.

00:03:20 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 8:

Um, but this, for instance, like I look at what's going on in this world right now with everybody doing nothing, but you know, uh, app dating, nobody goes out and meets anybody anymore. Now, eight in 10 men think AI could replace their girlfriends. Um, men, how men are already, according to this story are ready to embrace cyber intimacy revolution 2 000 men in this study eight and ten believe ai girlfriends could fully replace human companionship 78 of respondents said that they they date an ai clone of their ex oh my god so if i made an ai clone i could make like one of chelsea like if i but there's no physical being but this is with chelsea might actually be approving this like if i made an ai like would

00:04:18 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 7:

that be weird yes call can i call her and ask her all of this is gonna take place though i'm telling you watch this movie with uh what's my man from diehard bruce willis called surrogates

00:04:28 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 8:

telling you it's coming it had to be a long time ago they filmed that are they talking about like

00:04:33 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 5:

a full-on robot are they talking about like i don't know communication i don't know that's where

00:04:40 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 8:

i'm um 78 of respondents said they would date an ai clone of their ex while 80 express interest in chatting with an ai clone chels yeah i found the perfect thing for our relationship are you ready i'm not asking you for a threesome i'm not

00:05:00 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 1:

asking you to do a swap and do you know stuff like that what i'm saying is eight and ten men think that ai could replace their real girlfriends or wives i could have a computerized version of you perfect what do you what do you think this would be in actually this would be kind of nice think about this it's not like i'm cheating on you i'm actually with somebody that is you it's just not you but we we would have to reprogram it why and what's that what we're gonna say why do you have to reprogram it well no i would want no not that i would want it to be a little bit more like sexual like i would want it to actually want to do a little no i would like i would want it in but here's the deal i would want it to be just as clean as you are because you're very clean and i do love that i love that you know although she's very anal retentive about making sure that everything is spotless you know and picked up and all that stuff i still have the christmas tree up i promise you i'm taking that christmas tree down this week i finally i finally unplugged it last night i finally stopped uh stopped keeping the lights on well at least keep it plugged in but okay yeah all right three and when did this happen i don't know three and four Maybe I don't know if they have this at Cirilla's three and four participants said that they're open to having an AI clone of themselves as a virtual companion. Wait, they would want to have themselves be AI, too.

00:06:35 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

It's a little too freaky.

00:06:37 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 1:

Like, I don't.

00:06:38 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 5:

That's kind of weird.

00:06:39 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 1:

That would be weird. Like, I don't want to lay next to me.

00:06:41 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

No, that is weird. But have you ever been like, oh, like thinking of a joke to yourself and you're like, nobody else would understand this except for another version of me. Or am I the only weirdo? Yes. Okay.

00:06:52 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 1:

No, this is kind of, hold on a second, Frank's on with us right now. Frank, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. How you doing, buddy?

00:06:58 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 2:

Good. Since you're the porn king, you can go on. They have AI porn sites. You can put whatever face you want on.

00:07:05 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 5:

That is not okay. By the way. That is not okay.

00:07:09 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Frank, don't call me the porn king. I've got my wife on the phone. I've dabbled in a little bit of porn every now and again, but I haven't been on porn in a while there, Frankie. Well, what do you mean? Every other day you're talking about it I don't talk about porn like I'm watching it all the time I just know a little bit about it I actually read it I read porn Okay, you saw a little bit on TV, right? That's right, exactly Hey, Frank, say hi to Chelsea Hi, Chelsea

00:07:40 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 2:

Better watch out for that guy

00:07:43 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 1:

Wait, why do you got to say that, Frank? I'm going to make an AI version of myself and hang up on you now anaya is on with us what's up anaya how you doing it's mojo in the morning

00:07:54 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 7:

hey um something tells me this survey came after that subservience movie came out on netflix where megan fox plays an ai robot where the husband like cheats on his wife oh really i've never

00:08:09 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 5:

heard of that movie you know this reminds me of did any of you guys watch westworld Yeah, an ex-mahina. Okay. Yeah.

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 1:

I just think this is...

00:08:18 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 5:

It's a great watch.

00:08:19 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 1:

Well, Kevin's already looking it up right now. Adding to the watch list. I think this is the problem. I still don't get it why everybody does dating on apps. I know that that's how everybody meets these days. That's always the thing I'm saying. That's how we all meet these days. But I feel like if you went out of the house and went to wherever, you'd meet somebody and you'd find out that actually there are people that will have conversation with you unless we've turned everybody into dummies and now it's all about

00:08:54 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 5:

this ai crap i don't know why that is but i also think too we are always complaining about lack of communication skills of potential you know just a boyfriend girlfriend whatever yeah because like nobody does any of that anymore like we're all holed up in our houses and

00:09:16 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 3:

that becomes normal for people who do like to talk to people in public I think the other person is so conditioned to not talk to someone that they respond in a way that makes you like okay well I guess I can talk to people in public anymore because you don't think I'm trying to be something something something that is kind of true

00:09:33 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea would you ever do an AI version of me

00:09:36 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 4:

probably not

00:09:38 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 1:

come on there are some good things though at least you know that i'm there right

00:09:44 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

oh yeah but yeah you know once you've been there you don't really need to go back who would you ai nobody we had this conversation the other day like women are better alone than men and i think

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 8:

I've probably reached that point in my life. If anything were to happen to us or you, I'm good alone.

00:10:05 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. We talked about living separate together on the latest version of our podcast, which is like a big thing right now. And actually, friends of ours have been doing this for years. They have two separate homes, and they live in two separate homes. And I thought when they first did it, I was like, that's crazy. You guys are nuts. Your relationship will never last. These guys are living happily as ever. But they date each other way more than any married couples that I know that live in the same house. Matter of fact, I found that people who live in the same house find out that they want to be in separate rooms because they need to have a little bit of separation, where in this case, they start right off their first bat from this. So that podcast, by the way, is up on the We Don't podcast, which is on iHeartRadio. Just search We Don't. Hold on. Erica wants to make another comment here. Erica, remember, my wife's on the phone. Be nice.

00:10:58 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 7:

Yes, I am. but mojo every day you find a way to bring porn into the conversation every day and somebody will call and say yeah so how's your sex life and it's like mojo erica and every day kevin tries to bring jesus in the conversations we don't sit there and judge say hi to chelsea will you erica hi chelsea

00:11:21 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 6:

how are you i'm good my prayers uh seriously by the way i'm offended so i made a post yesterday yesterday was my day for kp to have me post uh put a post i put a post of chelsea and i when we were away this weekend uh in uh tampa we got a chance to kind of just hang out together and somebody made a comment and asked if that was my daughter Go Chelsea Did you love that one or what?

00:11:51 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 8:

00:12:18 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 8:

You think I'm joking? I really do that to people all the time.

00:12:23 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 6:

You can't do that to me. That's crazy. Hold on a second. You can't do it.

00:12:26 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I tell you.

00:12:27 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 4:

And when they answer, I'm like, what if I get into a phone? Don't answer all day today. Act like you're dead. All day.

00:12:36 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 6:

That is mean. You can't leave me hanging like that. How dare she Oh here she goes A.I. Chelsea would never
