mojo in the morning show do you ever get caught in like a blatant lie did ever that happen to you i got one yeah it happened to me yesterday and i gotta thank my wife for this one so i uh was blatantly lying to someone and i was supposed to meet my buddy peter but uh told him that i had a work meeting that i was running late for um you see peter and i were supposed to uh work out we were gonna we're doing this thing now and the start of the year we're gonna like try to work out on tuesdays and thursdays together so i said i'm like hey running late in a work meeting right now don't know how soon i can get there and then wrote back just a few minutes after not hearing from him and said i'm really sorry but this thing is going longer than i thought it would go only to find him text me back saying oh don't worry about it chelsea told me that you're having lunch with your friend vince at heroes i know that that's a little bit of a distance from planet fitness so don't worry about it so chelsea uh had contacted him or they were talking about something talking about uh something that that he needed an answer for and said yeah i don't think tom's gonna be there tom went out to lunch with uh his friend vince and uh wait by the way have you ever been to heroes before no i've never even heard of it this is a i i might have mentioned this before on the air and if i haven't i know i've talked to friends about this it is a place that has been around for eons you can drive by it not even know it's there it's in waterford off of what is it, Telegraph Road or whatever they call it there? Yeah. M59, I think it is. And it's got the greatest food ever, and it's like one of those places, it was like good bar food and stuff. I've eaten there numerous times, but I've always eaten there with people that worked in Oakland County. I ate there years and years and years ago with the legend L. Brooks Patterson, and then I have eaten there before with Sheriff Bouchard and stuff, so it's really cool. But on a tangent, I'm just trying to get out of this whole thing. but I got totally busted on this thing. And I wanted to know exactly, I want to know exactly, you know, if there's any other listeners that have got busted in a lie like that, where somebody said something and told something, somebody, something, you'll have to call us up big or small. take it all. I love this story too. I'm going to tell this story just to kind of see if I can kill time if we get calls. Did you hear the story about the mom who couldn't get her 11 year old daughter to answer her phone? So what did this Chicago mom do? She ended up going where her

00:05:21 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 2:

daughter was and she went on Roblox and she ended up contacting her daughter on Roblox to tell her to defrost the lasagna and take it out of the freezer.

00:05:34 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 7:

This is genius. Go mom.

00:05:37 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 2:

Cha-Cha Watson knew exactly how to make sure that the lasagna got defrosted. So she found her daughter on Roblox. The Chicago mom told the Today Show that she loves to spend quality time with her 11-year-old daughter, Miracle, on the online game platform, which they've been doing together for years. Well, when she knew that she couldn't get a hold of her daughter because her daughter wasn't answering her phone, what did mom do? She took resilience to the next level. And she ended up going on the game system, and she actually typed in for her, go to the freezer. Actually, she said, take the lasagna out of the freezer and garlic bread so I can cook it. That's what she said.

00:06:21 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 7:

Meet them where they are. That's her character. That's the way to do it.

00:06:23 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 2:

I love this one. Her character's name is Imani. so that was her character's name in Roblox which by the way I've never played and we talk about this that we have our iHeartland and whenever my kids aren't into Roblox they're not into that at all Luke's more into Madden and video games and stuff like that and killing people on Grand Theft Auto and things but whenever I hear them talk about this iHeart will say you need to promote this and talk about it I'm like dude I have no idea what I'm talking about when I'm talking about this like I am in a different world when I'm talking about this but I like the idea that I can get in contact if I had young kids that's what I would do because there's so many times where Luke's on his game system and I thought to myself oh my god I should have a game system upstairs like a PS5 upstairs so I can get on the game system and say stop swearing so much

00:07:18 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 1:

you know we can hear you

00:07:20 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 5:

in the kitchen yeah did you ever read Ready Player One no we were just talking about this yesterday This gives me, like, very Ready Player One. Yes. Where, like, eventually we're just going to all live.

00:07:31 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 7:

Yes, I literally said the same thing to Spike after the show yesterday. We were talking about something totally different, but I'm like, it reminds me of Ready Player One. Like, there's no real, quote-unquote, real-life conversation anymore. It's all moving to just technology.

00:07:45 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 2:

I got a feeling that kids are going to, this is, I'm throwing this out there, that kids are going to have a hard time communicating later in life because of this.

00:07:54 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 5:

Oh, for sure.

00:07:54 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I think that there's going to be a point where it's like face-to-face, like you're not, you know, and maybe this could be the cause of anxiety for a lot of kids, too.

00:08:03 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 6:

Is it going to be difficulty or just a difference? Because I think back in the day, people would have said, oh, text messaging going to ruin people's lives. But I talk to people more than I ever would have in the past without it. Good point. It's just different.

00:08:17 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 2:

Although I want my son to get me a daughter-in-law or son-in-law and not a virtual daughter-in-law or a virtual son-in-law.

00:08:29 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 6:

Less cooking, less cleaning. That is true.

00:08:31 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 2:

Take the lasagna out. I love that. By the way, I have a taste for lasagna. Get me a Stouffer's big frozen lasagna and I'm happy. Oh, those weren't the best?

00:08:39 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 1:

My daughter plays some game where they cook on the game, but I can't get her to cook in real life.

00:08:46 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 2:

Broth. Katie, what's going on? We're talking about getting caught in lies. And then, of course, this one here, you know, if you can't beat them, join them. What's happening?

00:08:55 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 4:

So it wasn't with me, but it was with my husband. He was going over at French Report for this girl that worked for him. And he's like, oh, so you took this client out to lunch that day? He's like, yeah. He's like, well, that's funny because I was with the client at the same time. So what are the odds? So what she was doing on her expense report was saying that she was taking these clients out, but really she was taking her husband out.

00:09:23 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Wow. That's a bust right there. Wow. Lisa, thank you for the call. What's up? I'm sorry. You're Lisa. Hi, Lisa. Hi. Hi. How are you doing?

00:09:36 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 3:

Oh, great. How are you guys? We love you. First time got through to you.

00:09:40 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, thank you.

00:09:41 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

We love you, too. So, my boyfriend at the time, he's now my husband, we were driving around and talking, and I said, you know, oh, what'd you do for lunch today? And he said, oh, I went to Taco Bell. I was like, oh, okay, and literally we're approaching the Taco Bell that he said he went to, and it was demolished to the ground.

00:10:00 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 2:

And I said, oh, that Taco Bell right there? And he's like, oh. He didn't want me to know he went to the bar for lunch at the time.

00:10:11 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 8:

That's hysterical. Oh, my God. There's so many times where I've had Chelsea bust me because she'll say, where are you? And I'll tell her I'm further ahead in my car than I actually am. And she's like, I can hear the hallway noise at the radio station. Marissa?

00:10:28 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Carissa

00:10:30 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 8:

Carissa, I apologize, what's going on?

00:10:33 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, I just wanted to mention that When I need to get hold of my daughter And she's not answering her phone Which I freak out I will go on the Playstation app on my Android phone And message her on the Playstation And tell her, you better text me right now Wow, so similar to this mom

00:10:50 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 8:

That's great Yeah

00:10:52 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

You gotta do what you gotta do, whatever it takes

00:10:55 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 8:

Right I get enough bills. Do you get enough bills of your kids buying things on PlayStation?

00:11:01 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 3:

Well, she's older now, but still, she won't answer her phone sometimes, so you got to do what you got to do.

00:11:07 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. What's going on, Kennedy? Hi, Kennedy.

00:11:12 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, hi.

00:11:13 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 8:

Hi. How do you communicate with your kids to tell them to take out the lasagna?

00:11:18 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, not lasagna, though. When I'm trying to reach out to my kids when I'm at work and they're home and not picking up their phone, I have Alexa back in the room. So I do a drive-in. Oh, that's smart.

00:11:31 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 8:

Wait, have you ever done that in something that maybe you caught them doing?

00:11:37 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:11:38 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 8:

What did you catch them doing?

00:11:39 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 5:

It has camera, too, though. Yes. You can see everything happening.

00:11:44 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 8:

How old are your kids before I ask this question?

00:11:47 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 5:

16 and 16.

00:11:48 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 8:

Oh, my God. Could you imagine if you got in on there and your 16-year-old was in there with somebody?

00:11:53 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, he can't. He's not allowed to.

00:11:56 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 8:

I know. Listen, have you ever heard our feature called Six on Sex? A lot of kids weren't allowed to do things. And they ended up doing them.

00:12:05 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I don't think my 16-year-old is doing that now, though.

00:12:09 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 8:

I would unplug Alexa if that was the case at that moment.

00:12:13 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I will, too, though.

00:12:15 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Thank you for the call. What's up, Julie?

00:12:18 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 2:

um yeah so when i was in college i was dating a guy um i can use their first names right yeah um okay so i was dating this guy named rob and i really was not wanting to date him anymore but didn't have the guts to break up and then there was a guy that lived near my sister whose name was ron and he liked me but i did not care for him at all i thought he was obnoxious So I got a phone call. I thought he said it was Rob, my boyfriend, and he said, what are you doing on Friday or this weekend? And I was like, oh, I'm going to my sister's, so, you know, I can't go out. And he was like, no, you're not. And I'm like, how do you know I'm not going to? He says, this is Ron. And so it was the obnoxious guy. And I decided to go out on a date with him because he knew I wasn't actually going to be at my sister's. It was the worst blind date ever. No matter what I thought he would be.

00:13:21 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 8:

That's why you got to be careful and you don't, you know, date people with similar type names or you got to listen closer. Excuse me. Can you say that word? Spell it. Yeah. Thank you for the call. Have a great day. Okay. You too. Love you guys.

00:13:34 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 7:
