I was laying on the couch yesterday and I was on my computer, you know, setting up some stuff for, you know, for for work and I'm on the computer and I didn't know where my charger was because my charger was running out of battery. So I sent a text message to Chelsea that says, do you know where my computer charger is? And she texts me back. It's right behind the couch. And I said, where are you? And she goes, I'm sitting right behind you at the kitchen table. Are you guys the type that you do? Do you guys text in your own homes? I call. You make a phone call? You actually physically pick up the phone?

Yeah.

So instead of screaming for them or getting up and actually walking, you will just pick up the phone and make a phone call.

Well, because sometimes Wes will go upstairs, and I think he's going upstairs to just go to the bathroom, and then it'll have been a while, and he'll be like, what are you doing? Because I figure if he is pooping or something, he's on his phone, so he has it in his hand already.

We have a thing in our house where nobody in the house spends any time in the same room with each other. Everybody goes into different rooms. And it drives me crazy. Like people don't want to spend, you know, there's five of us when all of us are together. But mainly it's usually three of us if Luke is home. And nobody will ever be in the same room together. And it drives me nuts. It's almost to the point where when we sell our house, our family home in downsize to a smaller place, I only want one television. And it's for specific. Yes. Yes. Because I will even watch your stuff. No, you won't.

That'll get old quickly.

I want to spend time together, Kevin. Sounds good. You don't like that? So in my family, we do not talk to each other unless it's over text. like we will nobody wants to physically actually walk upstairs to go get luke so nobody wants to walk up the stairs so instead you text hey luke where you at or i'll actually call him up to see like what he wants for dinner or what you know his order is if we're going to order something and then chelsea's usually in the room so she's in our bedroom i'm usually on the couch and i'm watching stuff on the uh on the couch but it's all done electronically i actually one point thought about going to get walkie-talkies legendary remember when you're a kid and y'all

us all to be able to communicate with each other or some old homes had this i don't know if any of you guys have ever lived in a home but you would have uh actual uh little intercom systems that were set up like on the wall did you ever see those at all yeah they had and they could play radio and stuff like that the best version of that is you just talk through the vents and you

just go hey oh my god man look my grandma and my house had it we're in the bathroom it was like a closed shoot the laundry yes bro we used to talk to each other through the laundry i loved doing that my grandma's house had that too yes but we have this new thing in our apartment it's like the intercom system, but it only works for, like, inside of the house and then the person at the front door, so you can say... Yeah, Wes has that in his... So if you pull it down, though, you can listen outside for, like, a good seven seconds. What? So anytime somebody leaves the house, I low-key pull it down to see if they talk crap before they leave. Or, like, the door dash person, I just hold it, I'm like, let me quiet, let me quiet, let me quiet. Yeah. Try to listen.

I do like that. Have you ever talked through your ring cameras and stuff like that? Do you ever do that?

All the time. So I still pay for the ring at my brother's house, and he'll come home and I'll be like, hi, and I'll stare that around.

Stare the hell out of him.

He's like, stop spying on me.

I'm surprised he hasn't changed that. He doesn't know how.

He's practically a boomer.

It's either that, you know, he doesn't text me anything else. That's pretty much what he'll text me. either that or he'll just show up next to me naked and look at me

Like, this is the communication that we have nowadays. And we're amazed that kids can't even talk to each other, you know, verbally, that they can only talk over devices. But we do the same thing in our own homes.
