All right. It's time now, guys. Breaking and entering Christmas wish this morning here. And you know how much we love doing this. This one, I cried when I read this letter. I read it, and all I kept thinking of the whole time was, what would I do if I was put in a situation like this? Are you there out on location with Lisa?

00:02:43 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 1:

We are. Lisa's here, and we've got a grandma here. Everybody's here to support.

00:02:47 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, this is my uncle. And an uncle, we got uncle. Who's uncle? Which uncle? Uncle who? Uncle. Uncle Darnell. Uncle Darnell. What's happening? Grandma. Hey, how are you, sir? What's up, Uncle? How you doing, Uncle Darnell? What's going on, buddy?

00:03:04 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing all right. It's cold out here. I know. I know.

00:03:07 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 5:

But you know what? We're going to get some warm feelings on the radio here in a second. Grandma. Oh, yeah. Grandma, you've got to be so proud of this young man that we're about to grant a wish

00:03:17 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 1:

for him. Oh, I am. He manned up. He did. He totally did. Lisa, I had a chance to have a

00:03:24 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 5:

conversation with Lisa, and Lisa told me the story, and after reading it, I was even more blown away. We're going to grant a Christmas wish, so what I would like to do is have all you guys who are right now out in front of Emmanuel's home, I want you guys to stay there for one second as our beautiful wish people here get ready to bring some presents in. KP, stay right there. Mute your phone for a sec. And then, Lydia, will you dial up? Do we think Emmanuel will answer the phone this early in the morning? He's got a lot on his plate. He could be waiting for a delivery. Oh, that's kind of what we lied to him about? That's alright.

00:04:04 - 00:04:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Sometimes you gotta tell

00:04:06 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 5:

those little white lies, right?

00:04:08 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 1:

You know. Just one.

00:04:10 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 5:

Just wants to try. You got to forgive him. Okay.

00:04:14 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 1:

You know my heart.

00:04:15 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 5:

All right. Hold on. Lydia is attempting to make a call here, a second call, because we called just a second ago, and I guess it...

00:04:25 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he didn't answer the first time.

00:04:26 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 5:

He didn't answer the first time. So let's try one more time. I'm not going to be breaking in here. Hold on one sec. Yeah. Get your Kleenex out. This is a Kleenex alert. So I just wanted to let you know, all of our wishes are Kleenex alerts. This is one, though, that got me crying. And I got a heart of stone. All right, no answer. All right, so here's the deal. No answer. So, KP, you're going to literally, this will be a legit, we're breaking it into the home. Okay?

00:04:55 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 1:

All right, let's do it. We're starting our walk. We were down the street, so he wouldn't see us.

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 2:

We're going to go full force.

00:05:01 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 4:

00:05:37 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 3:

This is someone who has something to give for you and your baby. What? He's asking me who I am.

00:05:47 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 4:

Tell my grandma at the door.

00:05:49 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how you doing?

00:07:14 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 4:

Hey, man. Good morning, man. Good morning. Emmanuel, it's early. You're a busy, busy guy, but we needed to get you early because we know that you got a lot to do. Emmanuel, it's the Mojo in the Morning show. And we received a letter about you, buddy, and how amazing of a young man you are. You're, what, 25 years old, and you are not letting anything stop you in life. And I want you to hear this letter that was written about you, okay, for our Breaking End of Christmas Wish. I want all the listeners to listen up. This is a tearjerker.

00:07:49 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 1:

Dear Mojo in the morning, Emmanuel Natsu's story is one of incredible sacrifice and love in the face of immense tragedy. My name is Lisa and I'm a family friend and I want to tell you about 25-year-old Emanuel. Emanuel's life was completely altered by the sudden and heartbreaking loss of his sister Paige. Following her murder, he has taken on the responsibility of raising two children, Caprice and Tyrell, despite his own grief and the struggles of providing for them with limited resources. This young man is navigating an overwhelming new role as a parent, all while working two jobs at a tire repair shop and McDonald's to make ends meet. He is determined to provide for Caprice and Talio with the love and care they deserve, but that isn't easy. With the burden of repairing Paige's home and car, finding reliable child care, and lacking access to government assistance until he can formally adopt the children, Emmanuel is stretched to his limits. Every dollar he earned goes toward their necessities, leaving little room for his own needs, let alone any moments of relief or joy for the family. This will be the first Christmas without Paige. A gesture of support would not only help to ease the burden, but will also bring a much-needed smile to Emmanuel's face and to the children, especially during this holiday season. Thank you so much, Lisa.

00:09:32 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 2:

Lisa, I appreciate that. Thank you. Buddy.

00:09:39 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Emmanuel. You're 25 years old. I am so blown away at the grown-up, just beautiful heart that you have that in the eyes of a tragedy like you guys just experienced, you are not going to let.

00:10:00 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 1:

your beautiful four-year-old niece and your incredibly gorgeous two-year-old nephew be without somebody to take care of him. And you just stepped up, man.

00:10:13 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 4:

Appreciate you. Mojo, he was just in the hospital for dehydration. And with how much he's been working, he's been, you know, taking a toll.

00:10:26 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 1:

Buddy, I heard this. I actually heard Lisa told me this, that you went to the hospital and you said you didn't want to go because you were afraid of missing work because you couldn't miss a day of work. Paycheck.

00:10:41 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Check to check. Gonna do what I gotta do.

00:10:46 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 5:

And I just, I know your sister is watching over you.

00:10:50 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 1:

Grateful. Yeah. Man.

00:10:55 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 4:

Can we bring you back to you?

00:10:57 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 1:

We want you to know that this unbelievable young man needs to be lifted up and you need something that's going to help you. And that's why our breaking entering Christmas wish is going to make sure that you and those kids are taken care of. And we want you to know it's the gratitude of all of us here as a community on the Mojo in the Morning Show, our listeners and all of us that work on this show, that we like to have rising stars. You are truly a rising star, man, 25 years old.

00:11:30 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 3:

Appreciate it. I'm safe.

00:11:32 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 5:

With this being your first Christmas without your sister, we wanted to make sure that it felt very festive for everybody, and we get you a little bit into the spirit, try to make it a little bit easier. So we've set you up with all sorts of things to set the mood inside of the home, like a Christmas tree and all of the decorations, and, of course, you see all of the gifts that are being loaded in right now.

00:11:52 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 4:

00:12:02 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 1:

We're going to take a shot on the court. We're going to take some pictures, and we're going to have some fun, man.

00:13:01 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 3:

All right, most definitely. Thank you. Most definitely.

00:13:05 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 1:

Emmanuel. I just can't. Grandma is so proud of you, man. And we talked to her just before you got woken up by that blonde lady named KP from our show.

00:13:18 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 3:

And I love my grandma. She's been here every step of the way. Every step of the way.

00:13:23 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 1:

Grandma, how proud are you of this young man?

00:13:27 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 3:

She's right there.

00:13:28 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 4:

She's loading up gifts.

00:13:30 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 1:

Is she?

00:13:30 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 4:

Where she at? Yeah. Hold on, here she is. Hold on, here she is. Okay.

00:13:35 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 3:

Thanks, Les.

00:13:36 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 1:

Grandma, how proud are you of this young man?

00:13:39 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm so proud of him. He manned up. And so we're helping him. But you guys, oh, you're such a blessing. I thank God for you.

00:13:48 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 1:

Grandma, I'm so sorry of this tragedy. I cannot imagine what your family is going through.

00:13:55 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Well, I tell you what, you helped take the sting out of it. I can't believe all these gifts. We're still carrying them in.

00:14:05 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:14:06 - 00:14:12 | Speaker 3:

So, hey, he doesn't have any furniture in his living room, so we're filling his living room up.

00:14:13 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that the greatest? Lisa said something to Lydia about the fact that there was no place. She was worried that we were not going to have a place for us to sit because they don't even have a couch. And so, KP, you want to explain what Lydia and you guys did?

00:14:30 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so we actually bought a couch for the family. And I actually do want to explain. We're not going into the house directly to film because they're using their living room as a bedroom. So all of their bed is in the living room. Kids are kids to sleep. So we're going to stay on the porch while they load. But we're getting them a new couch.

00:14:52 - 00:14:53 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:14:54 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

We're also getting them a stove. They don't have a working stove. I They're taking it in the microwave to the house right now. Yeah. And they just, they're so excited about this microwave. Isn't that funny? The simplest things. I always love that. I always love that we get all these toys, all these gifts, furniture and everything. And it's like one thing like that. Emmanuel, I want to tell you something. I'm making sure that we write you a big check so that you have money that you don't have to go to work when you're dehydrated. Okay?

00:15:30 - 00:15:31 | Speaker 2:

Thank you so much.

00:15:31 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 4:

And our friends over at Kroger, Kroger says they want to make sure that you guys have every meal possible, so that's why they are giving you hundreds of dollars. And I mean this, I mean more than $500 worth of gift cards to load up all your cupboards in that refrigerator that we're bringing in so that you guys can have the most amazing Christmas ever.

00:15:54 - 00:16:11 | Speaker 2:

Thank you so much. You're about to make me cry. See how you feel. See how you feel. Oh, man. Grandma, thank you. Thank you. She wrote that letter? Oh.

00:16:14 - 00:16:21 | Speaker 1:

Love you. Emmanuel, you deserve this, man. You deserve this.

00:16:21 - 00:16:28 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. He's hugging everybody. He's making his rounds right now, showing his love. Merry Christmas, buddy.

00:16:28 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. We're proud of you, man.

00:16:34 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 4:

I appreciate it.

00:16:35 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

00:16:38 - 00:17:11 | Speaker 3:

Honestly. Honestly. No one wants to think about HIV, but there are things that everyone can do to help prevent it. Things like PrEP. PrEP stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis, and it means routinely taking prescription medicine before you're exposed to HIV to help reduce your chances of getting it. PrEP can be about 99% effective when taken as prescribed. It doesn't protect against other STIs, though, so be sure to use condoms and other healthy sex practices.
