participation delivery area and charges may vary um mojo in the morning show so i have this weird thing when i go to a gas station i have like a superstition that it's it's kind of weird i have to go to certain pump numbers and i'm and i don't know if you guys have superstitions that are weird if you do you can share your superstitions with us but i have to go to either pumps three seven or if they have it up to 13 13 so three seven 13 are the ones that i usually like to go to Or number one. Yes. I went to two, and I had a horrible day.

00:02:28 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 5:

I know it sounds weird to say this.

00:02:29 - 00:02:30 | Speaker 4:

That's all it took.

00:02:30 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 3:

For the rest of life, number two is stricken from the gas. I should just say two is the one I won't go to. But no, I have gone to other numbers. So 1, 3, 7, 13 are the ones that I definitely like to go to, especially going to number one at the Shell station that's by my house. until yesterday when I was pulling into the gas station and I pulled in in a way my gas pump on my Tahoe is on my driver's side which that should be the side that it's always on. Foreign car makers these expensive car people that are out there, you guys put them all on the other side because you guys are ridiculous and it always ends up screwing you up.

00:03:16 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 1:

It doesn't even make sense to me because then you've got to walk all the way around Yeah, don't.

00:03:19 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 4:

In some countries, they drive on the other side of the road. No, I don't. Yes, that's true.

00:03:24 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 1:

Don't be logical. Shut up.

00:03:26 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 3:

So I pulled into the gas station, and I pulled into a way that I had to do a complete U-turn and go all the way around and pull a U-E to get into the spot to do it on pump one. And I pulled in there, and when I pulled in there, a pickup truck was right behind me. and didn't think much of it other than, okay, there's a pickup truck. It looked like a nice Dodge Ram truck. I get into the spot. I put the pump in, and then I look up, and the pickup truck is on the other side. He's on number two, which I wanted to tell him that's the bad luck pump. That's bad luck, yep. I'm pumping away, and the guy goes, you know, it really wasn't safe what you ended up doing. And I'm like, excuse me? And he goes, you shouldn't have done that. You should pull into the appropriate pump. There's a flow of traffic that has to happen here. a flow of traffic that has to happen here was like four people at the pumps or it wasn't even a busy time of day but there are no arrows yeah there's no flow you can go to wherever the hell you want to go to right and especially if you're going to a gas station that has multiple pumps on multiple sides i usually will do the flow of i'll pull up to the well yeah to the the further pump like if you go to costco they make you do that and all gas stations well most gas stations

00:04:43 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 1:

have two entrances to get into the area where you can pump gas. So the flow of traffic is all screwed up.

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm non-confrontational. This man has a big pickup truck. He's a big man. And he probably knows how to fight. And I'm like, oh, I'm sorry.

00:05:00 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 6:

about that i'm apologizing for something i'm really not even sorry for and i was sitting there going oh and then i go well i'm sorry i have like a weird superstition about like what pump numbers i use and he goes well just be careful and they kind of went back to his pumping and you ever have that when there's another person on the other side of the pump either one of two things happens if it's a really pretty person you want them to be pumping for as long as you're pumping because you want to like see them and you know maybe acknowledge and if it's this case you want this guy to have only put five dollars in his gas tank you're like at that point i'm thinking to myself am i going to fill this whole thing up uh what's going on tia hi how you doing tia do you uh have

00:05:43 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 3:

a superstition a gas pump superstition i do um so i always try to go to three seven or 13 as well

00:05:52 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 6:

Really? Okay. So you go to 2, 3, 7, or 13?

00:05:56 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

No, just 3, 7, or 13. Same as you. 3, 3, 7. That is so weird.

00:06:01 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 6:

Wow, you and I are similar. So do you ever try one? Because I do try one.

00:06:06 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 3:

Occasionally one. If one's open, I'll just go on one.

00:06:09 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 6:

Isn't that funny? Here we are, Tia.

00:06:11 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 7:

I don't even see the numbers until you already pull in and park next to them.

00:06:16 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. I look for the numbers. I search them out. You have to look for the numbers. Yeah. Thanks, Tia. You and I are, you and I are, I was going to say we're the love childs or no, we were going to say we're, no, soulmates. We're gasmates. What's up? I'm sorry. Michelle's like, huh? I'm Michelle.

00:06:36 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Hi.

00:06:37 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 6:

What's going on?

00:06:38 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 3:

It's Michelle from Lisa's Cafe. Hi, guys. Happy New Year.

00:06:40 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 6:

Hey, what's up, Michelle?

00:06:42 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 3:

How are you guys? So I'm obsessed with odd numbers. I can only go to a gas pump if it's an odd number. I can't go to an even number. I don't know why. So even in my car when I put, like, the heat on or the air, it has to be, like, at 71 or 73. It can't be at 72 or 74. Our boss is like that.

00:06:59 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 6:

Our boss, Tony, is like that with the car stereo. He's got to have the stereo on, I think, an even number, not an odd number.

00:07:06 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, see, mine has to be on an odd number always, like 13 or 15. Always. Yeah.

00:07:12 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 6:

That's wild. What do you do if the pumps aren't there that you need to use? Like, if the even pumps are there, what do you do?

00:07:20 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh. I guess this never really happened. I guess I would wait.

00:07:23 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 6:

Would you really?

00:07:24 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 3:

Even though there's- I can go somewhere else. I would. I don't like even numbers. I don't know why.

00:07:28 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 7:

No, I'm finally starting to figure out why there's always these people, these jackholes blocking traffic and starting stuff, because all you guys are waiting for a special number. Just get your gas and leave.

00:07:39 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 6:

Michelle, you're a jackhole.

00:07:40 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 7:

I'm sorry, Spike.

00:07:42 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Julie. What's going on?

00:07:46 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh, hi. Hi. I was calling because they put the gas tank on the passenger side. So that way, if you have to pull over on the freeway, it's safer.

00:07:57 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 6:

But why would, if you, oh, so if you run out of gas.

00:08:00 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that way you're not like, right. But that has to be passed on to all the other manufacturers.

00:08:08 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 6:

Are you in the auto industry and that's how you know this?

00:08:10 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 5:

My family is and we talk about it all the time.

00:08:13 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that drives me crazy. Then you know what? People need to keep enough gas in their tank.

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 4:

You're not wrong.

00:08:19 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Amanda?

00:08:22 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if mine's a superstition. I think it's more of an OCD thing. But I can't, when I pump gas, if I put like 50 bucks in my tank and it lands on $50.02, I have to keep going up until it's at like $50.10 or something like that. Because it makes me uncomfortable and I feel like my skin is like crawling.

00:08:45 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 6:

I do that.

00:08:46 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 4:

I can't land on random change.

00:08:48 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 6:

It's hard, by the way, sometimes to do that at certain pumps. There are certain gas stations, BP has this, where you can't do it, and it doesn't end up doing it right.

00:08:56 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 2:

It goes too fast.

00:08:57 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 6:

Jake, what's up?

00:08:59 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 2:

I was just telling KP that you're creating a new OCD for me. I'm turning you off.

00:09:04 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 7:

Now you're going to be thinking about it.

00:09:05 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 6:

I never thought about that.

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 2:

All the time. Every time I pull in now, I'm going to think about it.

00:09:09 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 6:

Thank you for the call, man. I appreciate you. What's up, Michael? How you doing?

00:09:14 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 1:

Well, two things One, I always park at a pump Where I can face outwards Because if anything goes down I want to get back out of there And two I never pump at a gas pump That also has a diesel pump with it I don't know why, I just don't

00:09:31 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 7:

It's got a lot of rules

00:09:33 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 5:

And those ones are usually on the end Like on your way out, right? I don't trust myself not to put diesel in my car Accidentally

00:09:41 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 6:
