00:02:17 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 3:

What did you drink?

00:02:19 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 4:

Can I tell you what happened? Yeah. So friends are in town Our friends Dennis and Leah and their son Max This is like a wild story But Chelsea and Leah Grew up together They were best friends since like kindergarten Max and Luke Are the same age Max is going to be going To Michigan State Like Luke's going to Michigan State Is that not the coolest story ever That best friends since kindergarten Kids are going to the same college together you know and he's from California they're actually from California so they came in to visit so Chelsea ended up saying hey you should go out you know take uh take Dennis out and do like a guy's night but you can't do it on Friday because we're doing like a whole family night and then we can't do it on Saturday because we're going to Michigan State and then they fly out on Sunday I'm going wait I gotta work on you know it's kind of a tough one so she ended up getting me um uh car service so she got uh top-notch limousines uh to ask the best to come and pick us up in a car and take us we went downtown and um so we had roadies as you kids call them and i roadied too hard and i got really really drunk even before we we got anywhere and i am like what was your roadie It was bourbon.

00:03:42 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Lord.

00:03:43 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 4:

You're not supposed to roadie, I don't think, the brown hard stuff.

00:03:48 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 3:

You can roadie anything. It's just how much are we roadieing?

00:03:52 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, too much. To the point, I didn't get to bed last night until 1245 because on the way home, we were starving. And I did not know this. Maybe you guys did. but uh red coat tavern is open until like midnight or one o'clock in the morning even during the week yeah who goes there there was place was packed by the way it was craziness and i know it's thursday night and thursday night's kind of a thing for those in grand rapids and uh toledo this place is like voted like best burger in detroit forever but the place is open till till late and i think on the weekends it's open to like two or three in the morning or something like that but we ended up stopping off and eating and I got a burger right here it's like literally stuck in in in my stomach and just awful I almost it's one of those things where I almost wish I was nauseous enough just to get rid of it you know oh yeah but um but it got me thinking about bar foods in in uh in in late night uh food fair because nowadays it's not as fun as it was five years ago there's to be a lot

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 2:

of places that were open late and now nobody wants to be open late anymore i know i know i and

00:05:00 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

00:05:06 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 6:

there are a few places that you can door dash but the list is very very small it's crazy but it's

00:05:12 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 2:

it's like uh you know used to be back in the day that you could go to uh i don't know even taco

00:05:18 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 1:

bell drive-thru late at night oh yeah plus door dash isn't fun late at night because you lose your buzz and you're waiting for the food and then you're getting sleepy like you want that food

00:05:27 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 3:

instantly. Yeah, and the best is walking into like a Grand Coney or a Waffle House, where everybody is. It's packed. Yes.

00:05:33 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 6:

Yes, Danny's back in the day.

00:05:35 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 2:

I wish we had a Waffle House. You posted on your social. Where was that Waffle House that you were... Yeah, I

00:05:39 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 1:

wasn't there. That was somebody who made a funny video

00:05:41 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 2:

about them. Oh, it was? Okay, I just went through and I saw that, and I thought, Waffle House would be so great. Megan's like the lucky one here of all of us. We gotta drive

00:05:51 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 1:

at least three, four hours.

00:05:53 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 2:

What is the best late night fair. You'll have to share with us and tell us what that was like or what's the best to eat. Is Raising Cane's open that late?

00:06:05 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. That's a great question. I don't feel like they're open super late. Have you ever

00:06:11 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 1:

gotten Raising Cane's for breakfast in the way in? Because Megan always has questionable breakfasts.

00:06:18 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 4:

Hey, hey.

00:06:21 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 5:

Raising Cane's is open from 10 a.m. until 12 a.m. But I will tell you, There have been many mornings where usually Waffle House for me is late night food, but if I get up early enough, I'll get it before the show and I'll come in with it.

00:06:33 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 2:

Raising canes, though, at 1130 would be great. I still have never, ever had it.

00:06:37 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

It's so good sometimes. It's like the sauce and the toast, chef's kiss. The chicken and the fries, meh. The sweet tea, blow your mind.

00:06:52 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 2:

Good stuff. I love it. By the way, that's what I need right now. I need like a big old sugar. What's the best hangover remedy, like food-wise or drink-wise? More roadies.

00:07:01 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 5:

People don't think it's McDonald's Coke, but it's sweet. Another one.

00:07:03 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, you heard what she said? I just passed right over everybody's head. Roadies. Just keep going. Another roadie. Is that what you're saying? Another one? Yep.

00:07:10 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 1:

Can't be hungover if you don't stop drinking.

00:07:11 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 6:

A little mimosa, a little Bloody Mary. You're going to be good. You're going to be just fine.

00:07:16 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 2:

This was so cute. So last night we're out and we're hanging out. And, Mike, you sent us the text of your kids at Disney World. Yes. And I'm looking at the pictures, and we're drinking, you know, hanging out at a bar. And as we're drinking, everybody's looking going, oh, look at that cute family. Oh, look at that cute family. I go, yeah, they're in Disney World. And my buddy Dennis goes, I don't think that's Disney World. He goes, I think I've seen what Disney World looks like. That's not Disney World. How was, by the way, Disney on ice last night? Those that missed it, Mike's kids thought they were going to Disney World.

00:07:53 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

My daughter must have told a bunch of friends at school, and I think somebody might have told her the truth, because we walked in, and it only took her a few minutes, and she went, Dad, this is not Disney World. But it didn't matter to my son. The second my son saw Mickey and Minnie and all that, he lit up like an excited little kid, like went nuts.

00:08:14 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. Do they serve alcohol at Van Andel for that?

00:08:17 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 3:

They sure do. Oh, that's good.

00:08:19 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 1:

How do you think parents get through that? Yeah.

00:08:21 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 3:

You know what I like, though, about, and this is, I've gone a couple times now, but I didn't realize this the first time I went. It's one of the only places where it's a giant arena full of very patient parents. Like, if you run in front of somebody or you step on somebody. Anything goes. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.

00:08:37 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 2:

You know what? They paid a lot of money for those tickets. Yeah. So, and they realize their kids probably are going to step on somebody, too. So, and they're full of alcohol because. They're all giant cans. There's no small servings there. What they should do is they should actually put the parents' alcohol in one of those cups that lights up and twirls around and stuff like that.

00:08:57 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God, I would buy one.

00:08:59 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 2:

Anita, what's a good hangover food?

00:09:03 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 7:

Chili cheese fries from National Coney Island at 2 o'clock in the morning. It's the best thing ever.

00:09:10 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 2:

It's funny. I almost took him in Detroit. Have you ever gone to American Coney Island? So I almost went to American Coney Island And I'm like, nah, let's just go out and get home Because I wanted to get home And then I thought, oh, we've got to stop somewhere But God, Chili Cheese Fries does sound good right now What's up, Tanya?

00:09:28 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, happy Friday Happy Friday to you

00:09:31 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 2:

Please don't talk so loud Thank you

00:09:33 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 7:

How come nobody has mentioned the iconic White Castle?

00:09:39 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'd throw up Oh, I would too I know it's good Wait, it soaks up the alcohol the grease does.

00:09:47 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 7:

That's what we would do. And also, like Shannon said, Denny's.

00:09:52 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 2:

Denny's.

00:09:53 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 6:

The sampler platter at 1 in the morning was the best thing ever.

00:09:57 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 2:

What's your favorite thing on a sampler platter?

00:09:59 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

The chicken tenders.

00:10:00 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 1:

See, I like the mozzarella sticks. Those things were fire. We used to sit there and just drink the coffee and have cigarettes. Actually, the other thing to it there is the hash browns. They have like, you know, the ones that are shredded hash browns. Those things were so good. Yeah. All right. Thank you. Well, thank you for the call. By the way, I have like a, I'm not kidding you. The nausea comes when I start thinking about certain things. And just a second ago, thinking about, and I don't know why it is, what are the things that the little, they're like little onion things that they have at White Castle, the smell of those things.

00:10:40 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 5:

Little onion things? Yeah. Onion rings?

00:10:43 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 1:

Well, maybe that's what it's called. What do you people in America call those things?

00:10:49 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 2:
