Please watch this because he's doing a dance. Mojo in the Morning Show. By the way, today is a special day. You know what today is? What? Today is my heart-aversary.

00:02:39 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 1:

Hey. That's great.

00:02:40 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 3:

Two years ago today, I, like the Tin Man, got a new heart. Was it the Tin Man or was it the Scarecrow? It was the Tin Man. It was the Tin Man.

00:02:49 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 1:

The Scarecrow got a brain. Like the Grinch, kind of? Yeah.

00:02:53 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 3:

I need a brain, too. I'll be going into one of those. Yes, like the Grinch, too. I did. I got a heart like the Grinch. But, yeah, two years ago today, I was actually, at this moment, I was in an operating room because I was on the table for nine hours. Nine hours. I don't know if I was in surgery at this moment. I think that I was, if I'm not mistaken, I think they were shaving my genitals at this time.

00:03:22 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 5:

Why did they have to do that for heart surgery? No, seriously, why?

00:03:27 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 3:

I think because of some of their equipment, or maybe they just do it just to make fun of me or something. I don't know. Do you remember the last thought you had before you went under? Yes, Coldplay. Can I tell you why?

00:03:40 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 6:

Why?

00:03:40 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 3:

because they wheeled me into the operating room and something just like this from Coldplay was playing very loud in the room. They had music on. And I started having a conversation with them and I said to them, I go, are you listening to WNIC? Because if you are, this would be like the worst joke ever that somebody could play on me that the last thing that I ever hear if I die was WNIC.

00:04:05 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 5:

It was Jay. Jay Towers.

00:04:08 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 3:

So that was it, Mike. And we got into a conversation about music And then they talked about how Dr. Patel Who is my surgeon Doesn't listen to music when he does it He wants everybody focused Really focused on what's going on So they have communication with each other And they talk That I thought was interesting too Because I'm like a music guy I would love to have music playing And I would also Have you ever seen the thing where They show the heartbeat dancing to songs It's like moving And there's a thing, I saw it on TikTok. Maybe I just get these things because I had a hard thing. They know my stuff. But it was dancing to Stayin' Alive, that song. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. And you see the art, do-do-do-do-do, like, going to it, so.

00:04:53 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

Do you do anything to celebrate? Because essentially, today is like a second birthday for you. You got a newly sung life. You really did.

00:05:00 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to have pizza tonight. I'm going to... For real? No, no. You're just going to owe. No. Honestly, Chelsea this morning woke up with me and gave me a huge kiss and a hug and told me how much she loved me. And that was like the best because I didn't wake her up. She actually woke up specifically just to tell me that. And I'm going to be more grateful today. I will say that. I feel like I have become more grateful. There are times, obviously, where you get frustrated with certain things. But there is the whole, I can't believe this. I thank God, not that I had the surgery, but that I knew I had to have the surgery because it was an aneurysm that some people don't get the chance and they end up dying. And that's why, you know, say, you know, go get checked out and talk to your doctors because this, you know, the heart aneurysm affects more men and women that are under the age of, you know, 45 to 45 years old than it does affect those that are even over the age. So you get diagnosed at so much an earlier age. But but cool. I'm that's it. I was driving to work today, and as I was driving to work, it's the same weather that we had that day, and I looked at the temperature on my car, and I realized that the temperature on my car was the same temperature of that time. Wow. Because for some reason, I was really cold as we were driving to the hospital. Chelsea and I were, and as we were driving, I go, look at the temperature, and I looked at the temperature, and at the same spot that I looked at the temperature on my way to work because I drive the same route. yeah but it was uh it was you know uh one of those things that i will never forget in my family i'm sure will never forget but um i'm doing good so thank god i love calling it a heart-aversary too heart-aversary it's a great name it's the i-heart-aversary and we're going to do a festival

00:06:54 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 3:

in honor oh in honor of the cold play with cold play that would be very that could happen are usually at the iHeart Festival.

00:07:03 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 1:

But can I throw this out there? Can I just say to people that sometimes we don't celebrate enough of the happy things that go on in our lives. We only remember the sad and crappy things. So in honor of this, KP bought me a ton of streamers and birthday cake and things to put in the studio here that we would have used for Mike's birthday that is coming up here in a few weeks. Just leave it alone. Let's drop it. I don't want to talk about it anymore. Would you be upset that my heart got a better birthday? Six years.

00:07:38 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 3:

Your heart gets cupcakes today. Mike gets nothing.

00:07:44 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 1:

So we got a good show for you today. I promise you that. And it's kind of cool to be able to be on on Friday the 13th. Do any of you guys have weird freak out moments about the fact that it is Friday the 13th?

00:07:59 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 3:

No, but it makes me want to get a tattoo. Really? Wait, why? Do it. Because it's a tradition in tattoo shops for Friday the 13th. They do flash tattoos. Yeah. Oh. Yeah.

00:08:10 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

Is it a good thing to get it done? Because I thought Friday the 13th was like they considered a scary thing where bad things happen to you. So is it a good idea to get a tattoo on a day like that?

00:08:20 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 3:

I think it's supposed to be a good thing. I don't know. I've just been wanting a new tattoo for a while. So kind of any. Any excuse. Yeah, yeah.

00:08:26 - 00:08:26 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:08:27 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 1:

What are you thinking? Any ideas?

00:08:29 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I know what I'm going to do, but I don't want to tell you because you'll make fun of me. Wait, no, I want to know. I want to finish my arm that I started. Which is beautiful. Thank you. I'm going to do all my favorite book references on that arm. I started with books and music, so I'm going to do that. And I know what I want to do. I know what stories I like, so just continuing with me.

00:08:52 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 1:

Now that you're reading that Harry book, are you going to?

00:08:56 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

The Prince Harry book? Yeah. Oh, for sure. We're going to get like a little crown or something. No, of course not. Well, he talks about his frostbitten junk a lot. Maybe I'll get. Oh, I heard about that. We got to hear that. Oh, wait, I'm playing. I'm playing. I have a surprise for you in this dirty show.

00:09:10 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 1:

The book on tape. What's going on, Courtney? How you doing?

00:09:14 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good. How are you?

00:09:16 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 1:

Fantastic. What's going on? What are you doing this morning?

00:09:20 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

I actually just got back from the gym. I just pulled into my driveway, but I just wanted to call in and say how grateful I am that you're still here with us mojo because i've been listening for probably 15 years i started listening to you guys when i was in middle school uh so i don't want to age myself too much but um i've been listening for a really long time and i have been through a lot and i feel like you guys have all helped me like grow up and have grown up with me and um i just feel like a big family um so i'm really grateful that you're here because i don't think i would have gotten through a lot of the things, especially this last year, without.

00:10:00 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 4:

being able to listen. Wow. We love you. Thank you. We love you. And we appreciate that. And thank you for those words. Did we teach anything bad when you were in middle school? Did you learn

00:10:07 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 2:

anything? Um, I'm not going to lie. My mom was probably not that happy that I was listening. I would turn you guys on after she

00:10:17 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 4:

left for work. Oh, good. Okay. Well, hopefully she's, is she a listener now or

00:10:21 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 2:

she's still not happy with us? Um, so my mom actually just passed away very suddenly but she did really I would make her listen to you guys in the car with me

00:10:37 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 4:

would you make mom blush

00:10:39 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 2:

00:10:46 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 4:

You say you'll never join the Navy. That living on a submarine would be too hard. You'd never power a whole ship with nuclear energy. Never bring a patient back to life. Or play the national anthem for a sold-out crowd. Joining the Navy sounds crazy. Saying never actually is. Start your journey at Navy.com. America's Navy. Forged by the sea.
