It's showtime!

00:02:25 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is great to have you here. Like the ability to be able to get you to listen to this radio show by telling you War of the Roses is happening this morning. I know you are one of those that always wants to sit there and watch a train wreck happen. I mean, it is crazy how many times people will come up to me and they'll go, I just don't know if I necessarily like this thing that you guys do, this War of the Roses. But let me tell you the story about the one that I heard, you know, it's like, OK, I like it. This morning on the show, she thinks that her boyfriend is cheating with her roommate and best friend. And we had to do a three way call on this one because we got to hear what they sound like when they're talking to each other. So that will happen coming up at 740. You got to listen to the show. 740 this morning, we'll have an opportunity for you for that. And then a bunch of other good stuff today on the show. A lot of good topics that are happening this morning on the Mojo in the Morning show. Megan with, they're dying, but I don't want to reach out. What should she do? Shannon with, the ladies of iHeartRadio are gross, and she has evidence. and then Kevin with less than a man. It's all happening this morning here and the next first half of the Mojo in the Morning Show. So we give you a lot of content. It's so funny. I was listening yesterday. I was actually kind of scrolling around on the iHeartRadio app. We've got lots of great radio morning shows that work for iHeartRadio and are on this app. And I actually happened upon a podcast of a morning show And I thought, oh, this is cool. This is their after show podcast. I looked at it and I'm like, you know what? I got some time. You know, it takes me about an hour or so to get home every single day driving, you know, down from west of Bloomfield. And so I popped the thing on and their podcast.

00:05:00 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 2:

It was like an hour and 20 minutes long. And I'm like, okay, let's hear what they have to talk about. Thinking it's like one of our more mojo podcasts where we do the after show stuff. Only to realize it was their show podcast. They did a four and a half hour show and they only had an hour and 10 or 20 minutes worth of content on there. And I don't know, Zach, if you can tell me, maybe you can tell me because I don't know exactly what our content level is. But I know that it's a hell of a lot more than that. Like, we do a four-and-a-half-hour show. Obviously, we have commercials that play during it. Very rarely do you hear a bunch of songs. Sometimes you do when I have to go potty. But three hours and 15 minutes, Zach says. Oh, my God. Three hours and 15 minutes. That's too much. We're giving you guys a lot of stuff. What? Yes, three hours and 15 minutes compared to an hour.

00:05:57 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 1:

Someone please tell me what the hell he just said.

00:05:59 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 2:

I cannot believe it. And I was blown away by that. And I'm realizing either we're giving too much content or this show that I was listening to is giving too little content. Do our listeners like that we give them that much content? I think so. I mean, people are listening to it. They do? Yeah. Oh, my God. It's probably somewhere in the middle. You want it somewhere? Yeah, we're a little too much. So it should probably be half of that, maybe two hours. Yeah, somewhere around there. You know, I never really thought about it that way. You know, that actually probably is the truth. Usually everything is something. The truth is always somewhere in the middle, right? Is that what they always just say? But no, but it was interesting. I was, I'm listening to it going, wow, this is pretty crazy. This is all that they got. And, you know, half the time it was, you know, contests that were being played on there. Like I'm listening to them, you know, play goofy contests like the five and one game or something, you know?

00:06:49 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 1:

Not to like try to sound like we're that show, but I think the proof is in the pudding. I think sometimes people care less about their listeners and it's more about just getting the task done. So if they have a show, let's do everything. Check it off the list. Exactly, it's a checklist. Let's just do what we got to do and get out of here. But, you know, we're here for a bigger purpose.

00:07:08 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, my hope is, and I never go into anything that we're going to talk about and say, well, we'll do this in a five-minute little segment. Like, you know, I never do it like that. I always say this segment is either going to be two minutes long or it's going to be 22 minutes long. And the truth is, look at some of the segments on our podcast because it usually works that way. Because sometimes it's just so good, I don't want to get out of it. You know what I mean? Like, I'll be quite honest with you. I compare everything to sex. If sex could be longer than two minutes for me, I would go all day, right? You got five minutes in you, at least. I don't think so. Maybe as I got older. As I got older, maybe I did. You know, taking testosterone does help a little bit. See if you can last a spot block. Okay, let's see. If I can do it. Actually, that's what I'll do. I'll start at the start of a spot block, see if I can go a spot block.

00:07:59 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 1:

Can you imagine you and Chelsea just laying there listening, and then all of a sudden you're like, go, go, go, go.

00:08:04 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 2:

No, there's no way Chelsea, by the way, would partake in any of that stuff. Can I tell you, speaking of length, when I mean by this, so we drove to Chicago to go visit Jacob, and we just recently did the drive on Friday, and then we did it back on Sunday. You want to hear the difference in driving with me on a Friday after the show's over with and then driving with me on a Sunday when I'm trying to get home for the Super Bowl? Friday, the drive took us more than six hours.

00:08:36 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 1:

To get to Chicago?

00:08:37 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

To get to Chicago, which is, by the way, not a six-hour drive. It is probably a four-and-a-half-hour drive or maybe five-hour if you leave at a time when there's the afternoon rush hour traffic getting into Chicago. like that 290 traffic that goes in there. On the way home, we got back in four hours and 12 minutes. And here's the reason why. And I don't know if you guys are bad road trippers, but Chelsea actually wanted to kick me out of the car. I had to go pee a whole bunch of times. So I think we stopped like three times. I was the kid in the backseat. You know how you ever go on a road trip with your kids? I got to go pee. We just stopped and went pee.

00:09:17 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 1:

I know, but I need to go pee. There's a Starbucks. We've had Starbucks six times on this road trip.

00:09:22 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 2:

Hunger is a totally different thing because wait until you hear how many times I stop for hunger.

00:09:25 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no.

00:09:26 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

So we stop three times to go pee. Then we stop three times for food. I have to always stop at the Zebroad Starbucks. I love the Zebroad Starbucks. Anybody that's out in Ann Arbor there, because I take M14 to 94, and I go M14 to 94, and As soon as I get on the 94, there's the first exit is Zeb Road. I get off at Zeb Road. They've got the best Starbucks there. They have great people working. They're very nice people. And I like to go, and I like to get myself a coffee to start my journey. No.

00:10:00 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 1:

wrong you're doing this whole thing wrong well let me you tell you tell me how to do it after i finish telling you that the next stop we do after that is mcdonald's for a large fry like we need to get a large fry to eat and then we wrap it all up at the end by stopping off and either getting a taco bell or a culver's just before we get to chicago and then this trip i even did a car wash chelsea's like why are you washing your car and i'm like well because i don't want to drive into chicago and go to jake's place and have jacob say man your car looks dirty so i ended up stopping off and the car wash we went to is one of those ones where you pull in and the garage doors close down behind you and the thing just spins around you and starts cleaning your car and it takes forever it literally i i thought we were trapped inside of the damn thing at one point chelsea goes does it normally take this long i'm like no no no no it's it's good it's about the same thing and i'm panicking my sweats going out it's starting to get to a point where i'm like oh my god i think we're trapped in here i don't know how we're gonna get out of this thing but Megan how do I do it right tell me you say I'm doing it wrong tell me how to do it right

00:11:00 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 3:

first you have to stop for road trip snacks before you hit the road you've got that's got to be the first stop second thing is I don't know why Michigan is like this but you don't get another Starbucks until you hit the other side of the state so you got to go down to Ohio and then cross through Indiana and go to Illinois that way you're right it used to be there was only like

00:11:22 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 1:

two starbucks along the whole way for some reason i think we've opened up a couple more okay well

00:11:27 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 3:

it's been a minute since i've been to chicago you know october so unless they open them up in the

00:11:31 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 1:

past four months you're right i know it was like that though seriously you're right with that it was honestly one of the most annoying things ever that we didn't have we only had the zebra road starbucks and maybe battle creek starbucks and that was it but you have to get all of the snacks

00:11:45 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 3:

ahead of you have to have a passenger seat while i drive by myself to chicago full of snacks oh yeah

00:11:50 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, I like that, too. My favorite is to stop off at, do we have any truckers that are listening to the show? I like to stop off at, what's the truck stop that's like halfway there?

00:12:01 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 3:

The Pilot?

00:12:02 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 1:

Pilot, yes, Pilot.

00:12:03 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 3:

I love Pilots. It's the cleanest bathrooms.

00:12:06 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 1:

Which, by the way, I'm pissed off at the local communities here, like Farmington Hills and Livonia and stuff, are fighting that big truck stop that's trying to come here to town. The one with the restaurant that's in it? Sheets. Sheets. Why are we fighting Sheets?

00:12:19 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 2:

Dude, Sheets is the best. Okay, but the one that got declined or shut down or whatever was like legit in the middle of a neighborhood, right by an old radio station.

00:12:28 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 1:

Why do you care? Come on, you'll have somewhere to go if you guys run out of food or drink or gas. They always say it brings the unsettling kind.

00:12:39 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 3:

What? It's a Sheets.

00:12:41 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 1:

They think it brings people in the middle of the night that are going to cause problems. I'd rather have somebody in the middle of the night hanging out there watching the people that are the criminals in the middle of the night trying to criminalize you. You know? More lizards. Yeah. Barb has a suggestion for me to stop some of the stops. Chelsea would probably be listening to this, Barb. What is it?

00:13:02 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 4:

Get a pee jug. We clean out orange juice jugs, and we put them in the truck, and I go, here's your perfect pee jug next time we travel.

00:13:13 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 1:

I need to take a pee-pee. Really? No. So you or whoever's with you will pee in the pee jug along a road trip?

00:13:23 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 4:

My husband does because he's diabetic, and he has to use the bathroom so many times. And he takes this big thing to drink, like this big utility cup. I'm like, why are you drinking all this stuff? He goes, well, because I'm always thirsty. So he's always thirsty, and he always has to pee. I'm like, here, here's an orange juice jug.

00:13:41 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. That's amazing. You know what? I don't know if I got good aim. That would be on the front seat. Billy, what's up, Billy?

00:13:51 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 4:

Not much as a gator, man. Woo!

00:13:56 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 1:

This is one of our trucker buddies. So, hey, tell me.

00:14:00 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm...

00:14:02 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 1:

Go ahead. No, tell me. Give me some advice on, you know, driving, making my drive.

00:14:09 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 4:

The best truck stops you're going to find are loves. They're the cleanest, the nicest, the most well. We have some of those. Okay.

00:14:14 - 00:14:36 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so Loves. Loves is where I want to stick my booty on. That's the place to stop at. Is it better than Sheetz? Which, by the way, how great is that Sheetz is so close to you know what? Like that name. That is like so great. I got to pull off to take a Sheetz. Love is actually a good one, though. My favorite is to go shopping, too, when I go to truck stops. You guys ever do that at all? I don't stop.

00:14:36 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 2:

I still have never been to, excuse me, a Buc-ee's. And I want to go to a Buc-ee's so bad.

00:14:42 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 1:

Mike used to do Christmas shopping for me all the time at Truck Stops. What's up, Lori? How you doing?

00:14:49 - 00:14:51 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo. Good morning. How's everyone doing?

00:14:51 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 1:

We're great. What's happening?

00:14:52 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 4:

Well, first time caller. Hey! He's on the phone. Of course. of course hey i live down here in northwest ohio and toledo i have three of them three sheets within a mile and a half yes a mile and a half down here yep there's one going in on central avenue where all the uh dealerships are there's one going on uh savania and mccord and then there's

00:15:17 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 5:

one at mccord and a door street yeah but there's one on the trail and mommy too somebody by the

00:15:23 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 3:

way just somebody just a trucker kenny just texted and said bacon bombs at sheets are the

00:15:28 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 4:

best have you tried it yes i have they're very good i've had a lot of foods i love their burgers

00:15:33 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 3:

they're really good see this is the thing why is livonia saying no to this and farmington whatever it is like why are people saying no to this bring on sheets you know what you could put one in my neighborhood in west bloomfield i'd take one we'll get rid of a couple neighbors homes i would love to have a sheets there i love sheets uh what's up jay how you doing buddy

00:15:53 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 5:

hello what's up are you a trucker hey yeah um i carry a empty gallon jug with me so i just

00:16:03 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 3:

pee in that oh okay so you're like really and you never have to stop

00:16:09 - 00:16:16 | Speaker 5:

no if i'm like running real behind i'll grab an empty gary bottle and go while i'm driving

00:16:16 - 00:16:37 | Speaker 3:

so no wonder why you guys are able to do that whole over the road thing by the way it would seem weird to me like i'm sticking my wiener inside of an empty water jug plus what happens if you mistake the empty water jug for the full water jug uh i got you dumping out speaking of this all this talk about this makes me have to go to the bathroom we got to take a

Food math hasn't been mathing lately. But at Zaxby's, we're fixing the equation. Zaxby's has 10 traditional or boneless wings for $10. Tossed in eight signature sauces or three bowl dry rubs. Ten wings for ten dollars? At Zaxby's, the math is mathing, unlike the other chicken spots. Zaxby's, ten for ten. Nothing but tens across the board. Respectfully. Who's got the sauce? Limited time, offer available only at participating locations while supplies last.
