Back to Mojo in the morning. Mojo in the morning. I went home yesterday and I literally, I crashed. So I went home. So I had a lunch client thing. And then I tried to do, I was like, I'm going to try to exercise today. I walked into the gym, said hi to everybody. I went, got on a treadmill for about 20 minutes and realized how tired I was. And then I thought to myself, you know what? I'm kind of bored. I don't know if I want to be on the treadmill. Maybe I'll walk around Kroger. So I decided I would get off of the treadmill and I just started walking aimlessly around Kroger. And then I found myself getting hungry, even though I just ate lunch. So I'm like, I'm just going to go home and go to bed. And I went home. But then I looked at my steps this morning. I was happy. I had 8,500 steps. That was actually pretty good for a Monday, which my Mondays are usually like 800 steps. Usually my Mondays are my least steps day.

00:03:13 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 5:

This is how bad I am, though. i've been thinking about getting one of those treadmills that like goes under your couch for my living room yeah but then i'm like it'll be warm soon i could just walk outside i'll save the money and wait like i will find any excuse not to go walk you have actually no been great though at the the walking a lot of that though is because i live in the city now it's so easy to go for a

00:03:34 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

walk in the city versus my neighborhood you are yeah that and honestly that's how i feel sometimes too like i feel like okay i'll be more willing to do it if i have something to look at you know and you know what i do oh i'm sorry go ahead which normally plan of fitness does do it for me if there are hot girls that are around well yesterday was yesterday was two in the afternoon and it was a bunch of dudes that were like 45 years old but these are bad incentives to go walking because i

00:03:58 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 5:

take notes and i go i want to go shopping at this store and i want to go shopping at this store no

00:04:02 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 4:

that's motivation so you said it was it was a bunch of like if it was young hot girls it would motivate you i went to the gym yesterday and i was on the treadmill too i was waiting for west to join me and he was running a little bit late so i'm like i'll just walk until he gets here the lady next to me was probably and this is no exaggeration 80 85 years old damn and she was walking faster than me and that was my motivation to kick it off i'm like there's no and the best part she was talking on airpods like on the phone i'm like she is overall acting so much younger than I am. I'm watching like the news on the screen and going two miles per hour. You look over

00:04:42 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 1:

at her thing and try to figure out what the level that she has it on. That's exactly what I was doing

00:04:46 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Mike. I'm like oh she's at 2.5 I gotta get up to 3. Can you talk on the phone at the gym? So at Planet Fitness there are signs everywhere that say you cannot. I was not at Planet Fitness yesterday and there was not a sign. I do.

00:05:00 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 3:

So she was, but she was, yeah. Don't take away my ambassadorship, but I talk on the phone. I talk on the phone, but I can't talk when I'm on the treadmill because it's not even so much about it. It's me trying to actually, like, get my breath going. It's like, yeah, I mean, it is, oh, it's awful. See that? Look at that. Because you made fun of that lady, the Lord just spilled your drink right all over the control board.

00:05:27 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 4:

Megan just spilled hers as well. I know.

00:05:28 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 3:

We're all down today. You're making fun of old people. Don't make fun of old people.

00:05:32 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 4:

I wasn't making fun of her. I was saying she was rocking it and I needed to step up my game.

00:05:36 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 3:

That is geriatric shaming that you're doing right there.

00:05:39 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 4:

We're going to have a bad day.

00:05:40 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 6:

I just want you to know that.

00:05:41 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 2:

No, come on now. Old people be outside early in the day. I realized that yesterday when I left work. Yeah.

00:05:47 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 3:

You know what it is? They get up early because they can't sleep.

00:05:52 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 2:

I thought they were all retired. All the youths are at work.

00:05:55 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, they go to bed at like 6 o'clock at night or something. So that's kind of the thing.

00:05:58 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 7:

I just needed less sleep. Don't old people stay up late, too?

00:06:02 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 2:

I know. I don't know. My grandma, oh, she typically go to bed around 10. Does she? Wow. She stays up that late, huh?

00:06:10 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 4:

I pass a senior facility on my way here, and they're all, like, one of those fancy ones, you know, on Telegraph. And when I pass it at, like, 5, they are, all the lights are on in every single apartment. They're all up.

00:06:22 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 3:

I don't know about you guys, but it is a thing. If you guys go to one of the malls in any of our towns, Grand Rapids, Toledo, Detroit, they literally have mall walking club. I'm not joking. There's a group of people, and if anybody has ever witnessed these people, they're insane. They will walk right over you if you get in their way. But they usually do it before the stores open up.

00:06:49 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 4:

My mother outlaw is one of those, my ex-mother-in-law. Really?

00:06:52 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Is that the name of the group? No. That is a great name for a group.

00:06:57 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 3:

That's a great name for an ex-mother-in-law.

00:07:01 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 1:

Well, when I lived in the 55 and up community with Graham and Gramps, they had a club that went for walks. Yeah, they did. They would meet on Wednesday and by the pavilion, they'd have ice cream and then they'd go for a walk.

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 3:

They eat ice cream before they're walking?

00:07:15 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 1:

I love that. It depends on the day. Sometimes it's ice cream, sometimes it's, you know, pizza.

00:07:20 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

Jell-O. Somebody needs to tell us if they know exactly where and when and how they do this. Because if they do a before 6 a.m., we should all go join them.

00:07:31 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 2:

You're out of your mind. No.

00:07:32 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 3:

Come on.

00:07:32 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 2:

I barely make you here on time.

00:07:34 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 3:

But if they do a thing where they do 5 a.m., could you imagine if we all showed up at 5 a.m. at the mall and we walked as a show? We could do our pre-show meeting together.

00:07:44 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 7:

This is where I'm a bitter Betty, though, because I'll go out for a walk downtown and be like, oh, my God, I'm killing it. and then I'll go see a group of, like, 15 runners, and I'm like, I'll get it for you.

00:07:54 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 6:

Go home. And your perfect Lululemon bashing outfits and your skinny bodies.

00:07:59 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 3:

How do you think you joined the Mall Walker Club? Do you think you just walk up and just kind of join and just start walking with them? I think they have a card table set up at the front, Mike, and there's somebody there signing you up. Yeah. Like, I think that there's a person that's kind of, like, watching this and paying attention to make sure that you guys, that you're part of the group. Like, you're actually, you have to pay union dues or something like that.

00:08:23 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 6:

Oh, good choice. Oh, you know the whole song.

00:08:44 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 7:

That's my drunk song. If you get me drunk at a bar and that comes on, I will scream the entire thing. Really? Yes.

00:08:52 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 3:

Wow. I was looking. Are our text messages down? Because I'm trying to find our text messages.

00:08:57 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 2:

There's something wrong here every single day.

00:09:00 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, here they go.

00:09:01 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 2:

How have y'all survived this long?

00:09:03 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 3:

You're also talking about old people, so I don't know if they're going to tell you.

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 2:

I'm trying to figure it out right now.

00:09:12 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no. Here's one. Here's one. 734 says, Mojo, you're absolutely right. I was walking in 12 Oaks Mall and almost got run over by some of the old people that are walking. And they're not always old. That is true, by the way. Occasionally, you'll see, like, I don't know if they bring, like, a daughter or a son or something like that. What's up, Amy? How you doing? Hi. Good morning, guys. How are you? Good. Have you witnessed the craziness of the mall walkers?

00:09:42 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 5:

The mall walkers? are the worst they are so serious about it and don't ever get in their way yeah it's like the

00:09:49 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 3:

mall was invented for them to go early and get their exercise in not for the fact that they're

00:09:54 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 5:

trying to actually sell things right and the workers are the intruders that have to get there to open

00:10:00 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 4:

in their store do their job really amy do you work in the mall i used to yes and i think it's funny that the mall walker group sign-up table is next to the girl scout selling cookie table oh my god

00:10:13 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 6:

it's a thing you have to sign up to do it it's a little counterproductive yeah you know what though that's great what mall was it that you worked in that you would see these mall walkers lakeside

00:10:24 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 4:

Lakeside. Oh, my God. Back in the day. It's obviously not any good anymore.

00:10:27 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, no. Honestly, they should have kept it open just as a mall to do walking in.

00:10:32 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 4:

You know? Especially in the winter, right? Yeah. The mall walking

00:10:36 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 6:

training facilities. Seriously.

00:10:38 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 4:

Why not, like, roller skiing? They have stairs and everything.

00:10:40 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that's a great idea.

00:10:42 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 4:

Well, not for the old people, but I'm saying keep the mall open as, like, a cool

00:10:46 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 6:

roller rink. That's actually not a bad idea. Thank you. Hashtag Usher.

00:10:51 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 4:

to wanting to participate, Ken.

00:10:53 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 6:

Usher's bringing back roller skating. Did you see that? What's up, Moosa?

00:10:58 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. How are you guys?

00:11:00 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 6:

We're fantastic, buddy. What's going on?

00:11:02 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 3:

Good. My grandpa used to just walk around Westland Mall just during their open hours. He wasn't part of like a mall walker's club or anything, but he would just go walk around because he was bored.

00:11:15 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 6:

Really? Lone Wolf. So, you know, I find myself doing that. I just joke with you guys all the time. I find myself that sometimes if we get out of here early, which some days it happens, and you're like, holy crap, I'm out of here early, and then you go, well, you know what? I'll just go to the mall, and I'll go to the mall just to see what's going on, and there's only so much you can do in a Helzberg Diamonds, you know? So you just kind of, like, walk around and kind of see what's happening. But, yeah, that's actually not a bad idea. We should do it.

00:11:46 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean, he was retired, so he just went to the mall every day and walked around.

00:11:53 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 6:

There you go. Yeah. Wait a second. We should do it. I just said we should do it at 5 a.m. before the show. We're not doing it at 5 a.m. You want to do it right after the show? Yeah.

00:12:02 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 5:

Let's do it for a purpose, though. Let's get the little sign-up table. Let's have people come.

00:12:06 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 6:

And have, like, a thing? Well, I've said that I still want to do because, you know, part of Megan's, you know, weight loss that she's had been so successful with is that she is getting more activity and more walks in. And so we talked about the idea that we were going to do the Megan Mile where all of us are going to, or Megan Marathon, or I don't know what we call it, but something with an M.

00:12:27 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 5:

I like the Megan Mile. We add a mile every year.

00:12:30 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 4:

I don't know why that sounds like the Green Mile, and I don't like it. It flies.

00:12:37 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 6:

It could be fun, and it could be done in a mall, sponsored by.

00:12:42 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 1:

Hey, to all the employees of other radio stations that religiously listen to 955, thanks for listening, guys. You made the right choice.

00:12:50 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 2:
