Bill, why is my eye twitching? Does this mean I'm in perimenopause? Where's my phone?

00:00:51 - 00:00:53 | Speaker 2:

Juliana, maybe we can ask an actual human.

00:00:53 - 00:01:02 | Speaker 1:

Yes, because I have questions, and I bet you do too. Like, is it normal to sleep in separate bedrooms? We do that, and I still need to know why my poop's been green.

00:01:02 - 00:01:07 | Speaker 2:

We've got actual people answering these exact questions. Listen to Bill and Juliana.

good morning it is mojo in the morning show mojo and spike shannon meg and mike great stations like channel 955 in detroit Detroit 104.5 SNX in Grand Rapids and 92.5 KISS FM in Toledo. It's good to have you guys here. KP and Lydia taking care of everything on the phones this morning and also your texts and social media. So make sure that you, you know, if you have something to add to the show, we'd love to hear from you. Best bet is if you're listening to the iHeart app, text 95500 and we may call you back. So look for a call back from us. And we're persistent. We're like that person that's trying to sell you the insurance for your car that you don't own anymore. Or you can call 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. So I was away last week. I took the midwinter break, which I love that break. And I'm realizing that next year that break is done for me because Luke is graduating from high school. And, you know, he goes to a Catholic school. All the Catholic schools, they always give you that President's Week off. I love it because guess what? We went down to Florida, and it's not as crowded and crazy as it is if you go during the holidays or summertime because not every state has that break off. As a matter of fact, I don't think they even do that, right, in Ohio, that president's long week. So everybody I was running into was Michigan. Yes, Megan? Did they have that at all?

00:03:46 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 4:

No, I just said no, I don't think so.

00:03:47 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 3:

No, I think they give you, some schools do the, we'll give you a Monday and Tuesday off or Monday and Friday off. Honestly, the great thing is getting that whole week off. I love paying for my kids to go to school and to have them have time off. Yes, I want them to have time off.

00:04:03 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 6:

So they can have a holiday break, midwinter break, and then spring break like three weeks later. Give me them all. I don't care.

00:04:08 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

I used to bother me all the time. When we first put the kids in Catholic school, I used to sit there and I was like my dad. i would get so grumpy and i'd be like they're off again and every time that there was a snow day and all that stuff i'm like come on i mean my kids are in public school and they got the whole week they got the whole week off too when are you learning yeah i know but now i don't even care i don't even care if they learn or not but um so we're down in florida and i gotta tell you guys a funny story so um luke chelsea and i every single night we would go to bed at a fairly late hour like we would we went we had like really a lot of fun like i didn't really see joe as much is I had liked for him to uh to you know to be seen but we stayed like 35 minutes away from where he lives so we kind of like we were more so in Clearwater and he is more in uh downtown Tampa

00:05:00 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 1:

like that's kind of where he lives so at night we would say good night and then we would all go to bed well our 17 year old son one night decided that he was going to sneak out to hang with his new friends that he had met oh really yeah so this is actually kind of a funny story and i told him i would not call him because he says to me he goes you can talk about it because i had to ask for permission to talk about it you can talk about it but do not call me or he said you can talk about

00:05:32 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 3:

it but do not call me i'm gonna be woken up or he didn't defend himself no because he didn't want

00:05:37 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 1:

he feels embarrassed because then he goes to school and the kids say something to him okay so he ended up uh hanging out out with his buddy nico was there from school so and then nico there was a girl that was there really cute girl oh my gosh this girl was from rochester she was gorgeous

00:05:53 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 3:

you didn't have to tell me that because if he's sneaking out i know there's a girl involved well

00:05:56 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 1:

so he sneaks out of the of uh of the place and this is the funniest thing he sneaks out while chelsea and i are sleeping and i just assume you know i turn my phone off like not off completely but turn the volume off and and have it you know so i because i the only person i'm fully responsible for anymore is him right i you know the other two they're on their own i'll wait till the morning

00:06:21 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

now i want to get a good night's sleep right so as far as you're concerned he's asleep in the bed

00:06:26 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 1:

next door yes so you don't have to worry about him so he leaves and this is where it gets a little sketchy and if you've ever snuck out of the house at night only to get yourself into trouble i want you to call up and i want you to share with us this story uh you can call us up here at the station or text us and we'll get you on so he leaves goes out has his fun you know with his friends until like two o'clock in the morning or 1 30 in the morning comes back tries to open up the door and he can't get it open because i did the emergency lock thing that automatically locks unless you unlock it so no key is going to get you into it to get into the uh to the room so he was calling our phone and he didn't want to pound on the door because he didn't want anybody else to hear him like people you know to hear him in other places right so he kept calling our phone calling our phone calling our phone there was i'm asked to woke up to like five or six missed calls chelsea had like 10 or 20 of them who knows so he ends up sleeping on the the the front doormat of the of the room so he ended up having to sleep overnight out there and the only way that i knew that luke was was gone was i could see my phone lighting up you know it wasn't vibrating because I turned all that off, and I see my phone lighting up, and I go, oh, my God, and Luke's ringtone is anaconda from

00:07:56 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

Mickey Minaj.

00:07:59 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 3:

Are there people down the hall hearing

00:08:01 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 1:

anaconda play? No, it wasn't on, but what happened was I turned it on, then Chelsea quickly wakes up and goes, is Luke okay? Because she knows that anaconda is his wake-up tone. My anaconda don't. And I go, Luke? And I thought he was in the toilet, and he didn't have toilet paper. You ever had that happen to you? Like you're staying in a hotel or whatever and you run out of toilet paper and i go what's going on and he's like i'm outside

00:08:24 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

that's how he sounds by the way if you haven't heard luke in a while and so he he was outside

00:08:29 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

so uh and he felt bad like he felt really bad but that was at six like almost six o'clock in the morning it was like 5 45. so he slept outside and he comes into the room and he's got on his face Like the imprint of the floor mat That was In front of the room Do you guys remember when you were kids Did you guys ever sneak out of the house

00:08:51 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 2:

I was way too scared too

00:08:52 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 1:

Really you never did that

00:08:54 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

I really never I mean my sister did enough of it For all three of us girls

00:08:58 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 1:

Mike I did too I would sneak out where would you sneak out of

00:09:02 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

I had a bedroom in the basement And it had a window like one of those egress windows Or whatever they're called that I could just get right out Is that what it's called yeah egress yeah yeah egress egress like digital grass that's what we did too and it was hard for

00:09:16 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 1:

me to do it because it's hard to get in in and out of that window and then you've got to climb up that metal thing that was right there by the egress stuff yeah yeah did you ever get busted um never got busted honestly i could have walked out our front door and my dad would never

00:09:29 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 3:

i got such a sound sleeper well i got busted because my window looked out onto the the roof next to us so i would climb out of my second floor window and then down the roof shimmy down the the fire pot the wood the wood pile where the firewood was and then roam around the neighborhood all night well nosy ass neighbor mrs gallagher lived behind us she told my parents one night i saw your son there sneaking out the window at one o'clock in the morning and so my mom Thank you.

00:10:00 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 1:

You know, grounded me for sneaking around. Yeah, Mrs. Gallagher. That's who you usually must do. Damn you, Mrs. Gallagher. I burned her lawn.

00:10:07 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 2:

Mrs. Gallagher is just like the perfect name for that. Yeah, I burned her grass.

00:10:11 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Sam? How you doing?

00:10:14 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 6:

Good. How are you guys? Good morning. Good morning. Good morning.

00:10:17 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 1:

Did you ever get caught sneaking out of the house?

00:10:20 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 6:

Yes. Ironically, it was the same situation. I was in the egress window, and my parents, I was in high school at the time, so my parents And read my Instagram DMs And they caught me sneaking out As soon as I stepped foot out the door

00:10:32 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god Yeah social media Well people forget You can't be posting that stuff Yep

00:10:37 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 1:

Nowadays

00:10:38 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 6:

Exactly you gotta be careful

00:10:39 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 1:

These ring cams and nest cams They screw everybody up from doing this What's up Casey how you doing?

00:10:45 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 7:

Hi how you doing?

00:10:47 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 1:

Good what's going on Were you a person that snuck out When you were a teen?

00:10:51 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 7:

Yeah so unfortunately Being the delinquent that I used to be I was sneaking out a ton And so my dad decided to invest to put a security system on the house where you open up the door and it'll ding everywhere. I found a way around it, and I started sneaking out of the window in our kitchen. And one day I was coming back in in the middle of the night, and my dad caught me sneaking in through the window and at first thought that I was an intruder.

00:11:18 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 2:

Oh, jeez.

00:11:18 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 7:

Almost scared the daylights out of him, but yeah.

00:11:23 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah, it's crazy.

00:11:24 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, usually the security systems aren't to keep burglars out. It's to keep teenagers in.

00:11:31 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 1:

Grace, you're a mom?

00:11:34 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I am. I'm a mom of four, and my first child was Sunday night at a friend's house, and I got up around 3, 3.30 in the morning.

00:11:42 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 1:

Hold on. I've got to dump that for a second. I've got to dump that. So you saw your son and his buddy running?

00:11:53 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 3:

Yep. Yep. Yep. Down across the lawn, so I called his dad, the buddy's dad, and I said, you can keep him over there and deal with it, because I know he was a much harder on his kid than one.

00:12:05 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 1:

Where were they going? Because that's the big thing.

00:12:08 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, the girl behind our house was the girl to be known to entertain quite a bit.

00:12:16 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. Oh, boy.

00:12:19 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 3:

I know.

00:12:20 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:12:21 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 3:

I was like, okay. You had a fun night that night, didn't you, buddy?

00:12:24 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 1:

This one, by the way, this is interesting because Luke snuck out and we were not home. We were on vacation. So that's a wild one, too, because I remember when we as kids, we actually traveled to the Wisconsin Dells. Have you ever been to the Wisconsin Dells before? I've never even heard of that. Wisconsin Dells is, I grew up in Chicago, so everybody from Chicago would go to Wisconsin Dells, kind of like how everybody in Michigan goes up north to northern Michigan. So Wisconsin Dells was like the place that you'd go to, and it was kind of like a cheesy little town and stuff. And I remember we snuck out and we started walking through town. And the ranger from the Wisconsin Dells guy busted us, put the flashlight in our eyes. Hey, kids, what are you guys doing? And he ended up driving us back to the hotel that we were staying at or the motel that we were staying at, which was great because I did not want to walk back. I was too lazy. Jeanette, hi. Hey, Jeanette.

00:13:23 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 4:

yes hi okay so i was 13 and we lived in this apartment complex and my mom always stayed on the third floor so i would um climb like i would sneak out and i would leave the balcony door open so i would climb back up the third floor of the balcony when i was coming back in well one time apparently she figured it out and she locked the slider door oh no so i had to sleep on the balcony oh yeah on the third floor until she woke up for work at like 5 40 in the morning that's a

00:14:06 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 1:

parent play right there were you an athlete growing up because as a kid i could never actually i ran track yeah the kids that could climb up at climbing three stories that's amazing Peggy, who brought your sneaky little bastard home?

00:14:24 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 5:

My sneaky little daughter.

00:14:27 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 1:

And what happened?

00:14:29 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 5:

The police.

00:14:29 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 1:

The police.

00:14:30 - 00:14:53 | Speaker 5:

I was in bed. We were all in bed, so I thought. And I get this knock on the door, and then my doorbell rings. My dog starts barking, and I open up the door, and the police are like, we have a complaint that your kids were making noise in the backyard, too much noise. I said, my kids are up in bed. He said, ma'am. And he had the girls come around the corner. He goes, they were underneath the pine tree in your backyard.

00:14:54 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh.

00:14:55 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 5:

So, anyways, he was looking, and he found them underneath the pine tree.

00:15:00 - 00:15:10 | Speaker 1:

And the next morning I went out, and lo and behold, so there were a bunch of bottles of booze underneath the train tree with them. We didn't find them, thank God, because then they would have got a PIP. Yeah.

00:15:11 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 3:

By the way, your daughter wasn't, you're not the neighbor of that lady that called a little bit ago talking about the girl.

00:15:17 - 00:15:18 | Unknown:

Hi, my face.
