All right, Mojo on The Morning Show, your home of the War of the Roses, Tuesdays and Thursdays on the show. So this past Father's Day weekend was a lot of fun. I love my Father's Days because it's the only day of the week where when my family will say to me, what do you want to do today? And I go, nothing. I actually can just do nothing. And that's pretty much my thing. I like to do literally nothing on Father's Day. I did go golfing with Luke, which was fun. And we went like late golfing, like we went like at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. And then being off on Monday gave me the ability to go to dinner afterwards. So we went for a really late dinner because we didn't get done until after 8 o'clock. So it was kind of nice. I got calls from all of my kids. So it was really cool. And a couple kids called, and I said, I'm sorry, but this is not Nick Cannon. You can call him up on his phone number, which is this one. But actually, it was fun to be able to talk to them. One particular was my favorite, though. So I got a phone call from Joe, who you guys know from the Joe show. Joe calls me up and he says, hey, dad, just want to wish you a happy Father's Day. And I said, oh, thanks, Joe. I appreciate it. And he goes, did you get my card? And I said, no. I said, I didn't. And he goes, oh, go look for it. So I couldn't find it on a counter or anything like that. I thought that maybe Charles might have gotten the mail and left it there. So I walked while I was talking to him on the phone And talking to him about What's going on in his life and everything I walked out to the mailbox Because there are some times where I'm like Megan Where there'll be days worth of mail Inside that mailbox Because nothing ever good comes in the mailbox Except for the local newspaper That gives me a police blotter Of people that got arrested in West Bloomfield Which I love to read

00:03:09 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say I love reading that

00:03:10 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh my god so and so got arrested at the stage deli So I look in the mailbox and there's nothing in there. Everything was completely taken out of there. So I said, Joe, I don't have it. And he goes, Dad, go look on your computer. And I'm like, oh, I got to pull my computer out for this one. So I go into my computer to find that my son Joe sent me a Father's Day gift card or Father's Day card, not gift card, but card. And I actually have it here, and it says right here, hold on, this is it. It says, number one dad in the whole world, and it's a golf one with the flag in it, and hole is H-O-L-E. That's what he customized it to you. Yeah, and then you open up the card, and it says, happy Father's Day with the golf ball there. And then he wrote in it, not with his writing, but just typing in, love you so much, Dad, Joey. That's my Father's Day gift.

00:04:09 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 2:

What was that sent to?

00:04:11 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, it was sent on my Gmail account.

00:04:15 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm saying the card.

00:04:16 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 1:

It was, I think it was American Greetings or something like that. Okay, but let me just say this to you. It was in my spam folder. That's where I found the thing. Lots of things I want go to my spam folder. So, well, let me just say, let me just go on record to say this to you. And I know that Megan will stick up for him because Megan to her, you know, if it was up to, it was up to Megan. This is, you old people, you know, that's what she'll say to me. Well, then let me do mine first before you do this. You youths need to understand, in your words or Joe Pesci's words, you need to understand that if you don't put a stamp on it and send it.

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 4:

To me, it ain't a card. Oh, my God.

00:05:03 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 1:

Back in the day, we used to send telegrams by the Pony Express. No, I heard.

00:05:09 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 4:

You can't. There's no love in that. There's no love in an e-card. An e-card doesn't say, Dad, I care about you. An e-card says, I forgot it was Father's Day, and I decided to go online to try to order something.

00:05:23 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 2:

By the way, if he signed up for the free seven-day trial, the card was free. Smart man.

00:05:28 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 1:

I think of this as a green solution. Instead of sending something in the mail where there's going to be such a large carbon footprint, you can just send it electronically and save the planet.

00:05:37 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God.

00:05:38 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 1:

So you just want us all to die is what you're saying.

00:05:40 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 4:

Another reason. Another reason why. Megan, first off, let me say this to you.

00:05:45 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 3:

Megan, make the science trick. That was good. That was so good.

00:05:52 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 4:

If sending a Father's Day card is going to cause for us to have global warming, then I say, warm it up, baby.

00:06:01 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 1:

You know what, though? I think you're just so ungrateful because there are plenty of dads out there that would have loved to have gotten anything this year for Father's Day. And I think you're being a little bit too ungrateful.

00:06:17 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 4:

Let me just say this to you. Even you, you, Megan, I'm giving you credit for this, got me an actual card card for my birthday.

00:06:27 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I did.

00:06:28 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay? So I want you to know that I'm giving you credit for that. In the same vein, I'm giving my son no credit for this one.

00:06:36 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 2:

Okay, but I didn't mail it, and you said that it needed to have a stamp. Well, he has to mail it because he lives in Florida.

00:06:42 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:06:43 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 2:

There's no other tweet. Was the email marked urgent?

00:06:46 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 4:

No, I don't even, honestly, I don't know. I'd have to go back and look at it. Adam, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Is an E card for Father's Day really a Father's Day card?

00:06:56 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 5:

If you don't love me, you don't love me. Just say that. Seriously?

00:07:01 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:07:02 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 5:

He thought of that two minutes before he called. Oh, yeah. Let me send. There's no effort. Just call me and say, happy Father's Day, and I love you. The E card is almost like a slap.

00:07:12 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 4:

And actually, Jacob, so for my birthday, Jacob called me, wished me a happy birthday and then two or three days later i got a card from him and honestly i was touched because he knew he didn't mail it on time but at least he mailed it but he still called me and he did not reference he could have said easily enough dad by the way i put a card in i was a little late with it you're going to get in a couple days he surprised me with it and i was kind of like oh that's nice so a couple days after my birthday i got a surprise thing instead i got

00:07:43 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 5:

It's already the thrown away holiday. Don't make it worse on top of an e-card. Seriously.

00:07:51 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 4:

Why are we throwing away Father's Day? We already get pissed that there's not enough men in this world who hold up to their being there for their kids. And now we're throwing away this holiday.

00:08:04 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 6:

Ungrateful.

00:08:04 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 4:

Poncho, what's going on?

00:08:06 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 6:

Good morning.

00:08:07 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 4:

I'll show you ungrateful. Yes, Poncho.

00:08:10 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I agree with you, Mojo, because if you don't send a physical card, what's the point? It's like saying you're not even interested in them.

00:08:18 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. But a card doesn't even matter. How long have you actually kept cards? When have you ever gotten a card and was like, oh, my God, I feel so loved right now.

00:08:30 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 6:

I get Christmas cards because I send them out.

00:08:33 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, my kids are at the age, too, where they still make the cards.

00:08:36 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you've got to save them. There's a nice message inside. But if Joe would have written a nice message inside of a card, you would have saved it.

00:08:44 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 4:

I would. I actually have them. I keep a drawer. You know what? I'll take a picture of it and send it to you guys in our group chat later. I save all the cards that people write nice messages. Did you save my card? I do. I have all the cards from all of you guys. I mean, seriously. I don't believe you. I do. I'm telling you. I'm a little bit of a pack rat when it comes to cards. You better cards are expensive now.

00:09:02 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

Let me tell you. $6 for a card? Are you nuts?

00:09:04 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 4:

The other reason, too, is-

00:09:06 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

I get my cards from the dollar store. You just got to write something in there.

00:09:09 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 4:

The other thing, too, is I save these cards for this reason. When you start hating me, then I go back and I look and I go, wait, you loved me back in 2012.

00:09:17 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 2:

And I always date mine, so you know. It was like June 20th, 2009. We were good.

00:09:23 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 3:

You know what's going to happen, right?

00:09:24 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:09:24 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 3:

All of this love that people expect in cards, Chad GPT. You know what? The message isn't even going to be from your son or daughter or whatever. That is true.

00:09:34 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. It just happened. Call and admit if you wrote a message in your dad's card this Father's Day Thanks to ChatGPT Please, please, please, we will voice disguise you And I want you to read it Some people should be using ChatGPT
