I forget how old I am I'm turning 24

I turned 24

I turned 24 yesterday.

So yesterday was actually your official birthday, right? Okay. And you turned 24, and you said that you had a little mix-up of people thinking that you were at that quarter-century age.

Yeah, and I think it started with Spike posting for my birthday a couple days early, too. A lot of people didn't know what my exact birthday day was. And then on dinner on Friday, I had a good friend take me out. and i i experienced something kind of awkward for me i was trying to keep it just me and not have her realize that she forgot my actual age um we went out to dinner it was so nice she got me gifts she wrote me a letter and a card and it was so touching and beautiful and then she wrote happy 25th birthday kb and i'm just like oh no i don't want to tell her but i don't want her to go the rest of our friendship not knowing my actual age and it seems super small but it's like super awkward you know like when you're having such a good time and then it's like this little detail yeah it's like the main point of why you're there yeah and I just felt so awkward I didn't I didn't tell her I just read the card and I was just like wow this is beautiful thank you so much and then a couple days go by and my actual birthday happens on Sunday and she posted this big social post happy 25th birthday kb and then i had other people start saying happy 25th birthday kb and i'm like oh my god i have to end this now she has to take down this post so these people so you did you dm her or what'd you do i did i said did you i said i love you so much but i'm

turning 24. wait did she say anything about the fact that on friday you didn't say anything no

She just goes, I'm so sorry I just, we are all the same age It feels like You can't tell how old people are

For us and the listeners, we've only known you for Less than six months, right? Seven months now Has it been that long? KP's been new to the show So KP's our producer And so We could screw it up Which honestly, I kind of wondered I thought to myself, she's doing a lot For a 24th birthday Maybe she's not 24 because you had, like, a whole weekend of festivities, including that big concert that you went to where you bought, was it how many tickets did you buy for that concert? Twelve. She bought 12 tickets to take a ton of friends with to the concert. And I'm thinking to myself, she's going to get broke by the time she's 25.

I am broke.

I mean, that's a big celebration because usually people don't celebrate to that extent. like birthdays that aren't considered to be not monumental like 21 25 30 30 or 40 you know stuff

like that well this is just making up for my 21st birthday i had a big thing planned for turning 21 and covid canceled oh that's right okay all right that's good i haven't had my friends meet up in so long yeah so you get that we're gonna go up plus when you really think about it if you go out for a birthday people are spending money on uber they're spending money on drinks and a gift and instead of all that I just wanted people to be

to me it's weird it's weird like this is the other thing it's weird i think it's weird like you did the right thing i think it's weird to say hey it's my birthday and saturday we're all getting together i want you guys to go with me to a concert you're gonna have to pay for the concert like it's weird throwing your own birthday like i've never like i typically it's somebody else throwing your own birthday weird throwing your own birthday well right by the way mike just so

for KP because she had a Sunday birthday. So there's no festivities. There's no balloons. There's no craziness here. People can wish her a happy birthday from yesterday's post. I actually posted that yesterday because I would go KP cannot post. She normally does all our social posts. She can't post her own birthday post and by about 9 o'clock or 10 o'clock in the morning, I'm thinking we got to put a post up there for her. So I tried to choose whatever picture that I could find That was off yours

And write a little something My friend took that at the concert Because I was having such a good time My friend got a video of me Just dancing at the concert And then I was sitting in this little chair Must have been early because you didn't look sloppy yet No I was not sloppy Well I'm a type, you know how I am when I get drunk I was happy Let's just say that

What did you get for your birthday from your mom? What did Mama KP get you?

Mama KP knows my love language to a tee so she showed up and she said she was coming over and i'm like where is she and i looked and i snuck at her location she was at kroger and i'm like oh i know what she's doing she went up picked up a ton of groceries meal prepped some of them and came over and dropped off a bunch of meals for me oh man the best gift what an awesome that is my language i don't you know i'm not super fancy i really am not i love that she thought of me and how i have almost no time to meal prep during the week and she brought me food.

That is so sweet. And you talked last week on the show about how you didn't have any food and you were hoping she'd buy you a McDonald's last week. Remember that? So she probably realizes this girl is not eating if I don't do that. That is a great gift. Because you can buy clothes or you can buy whatever you buy. That's thoughtful though. But that is a very thoughtful gift. Plus she's probably worried about your nutrition.

Yes. Wants to make sure you're eating. My state of being. She came in and she's like, oh.

So what was the meal prep for today? Did she give you specific days

and everything? Oh yeah. So today I brought in The salad with some chicken to work. And then tonight I'm going to have some shrimp tacos. Wow. And then tomorrow a little chicken, like more chicken.

See, this is the way you do it. If you're Megan, you just go to your dad's house and steal it right out of his refrigerator.

I do that too. Oh, do you really? Not Megan's dad, but I do.

That would actually be kind of funny, wouldn't it?

You and Megan went to lunch yesterday, I heard.

We did. That literally made my birthday even better. Wow. She drove an hour and a half just for my birthday. That was really nice. Yeah, super special. Everybody thinks I'm the mean one. Well, you're mean and you'll drive far.

Maybe that's why she's mean. It's an hour and a half drive.

Well, Megan was so sweet. So not only did she drive an hour and a half to go see me, I saw her walking in. She was all dressed up so cute and fancy, and I was wearing a hat and no makeup on from drunk or hungover from the 94. she looks gorgeous she's got a little gift and she's trying to get me drunk because this huge bottle of champagne is now on my counter i don't even know what to do with it oh i love it yeah and then i i scheduled us well i didn't even schedule i was like let's go here it's my favorite breakfast place get there it's an hour wait so we ended up going from the breakfast place to this to cruising mirror and she ended up having to pay for this this pot this pasta and stuff like megan i'm sorry i tried to pick a budget-friendly place for the both of us so it actually it was a birthday celebration yeah really really the same place i celebrate i'd rather go to cruise in muir's

cruise in muir's is great it was so good it was so good that's good that's good stuff by the way did you drive to grand rapids for mike's birthday because now he's going to complain about that i'm just going to be an old grumpy guy i'm going to go for ali's birthday so it's a great birthday a great weekend and i know that uh later this morning we're going to talk about the the craziness that you had with some of your girlfriends including lydia the director of the show here who went with you and I heard she was over served also and

it was pretty uh pretty crazy she was not just over served she was real over well I'm surprised

you're alive so what do you what's your plans now for your 25th birthday because that you're gonna have to you're gonna have to top that the hardest part about birthdays is if you have like a big birthday celebration the next birthday always seems a little depressing because you don't have as big a celebration.
