And this is something that Shannon was, like, nervous to bring up on the radio because she wants to go back to this place.

Oh, yeah, we cannot say the name. You know which place I'm talking about, so I don't want to. Please don't say it.

I won't say the name, but we're going to get into one of those, this is like one of those customer service investigative reporting things on the air here right now and ask the listeners what they would do in this case. But you went out for happy hour?

I truly love this place, but I feel wronged. So I was scrolling through my Instagram the other day and I saw on this particular establishment's Instagram story that they were in the middle of happy hour. and there's a little sign they took a picture of a sign that was outside on the sidewalk and it has the name of the business and it says join us for happy hour three to six half off drinks so I'm upstairs doing some stuff in my room Wes is downstairs working and I texted him a picture of it and I said hey you wanted to take a walk today let's walk here it's and then have drinks happy hour. He was like, great idea. So he finishes working. We go to this place and we get there at 5 0 8. So I even say to the bartender, I'm like, we got 52 minutes left of happy hour. So he knew we were there for happy hour. We're sitting at the bar. Um, he had a drink. I had a glass of wine and then like at 10 minutes left at 10 till six, I get, and I also made it a point to say I have 10 minutes left I get another drink well when it came time to get our bill I noticed that the drinks were full price and I'm like wait a second it's it said on the side like it's happy hour and so the bartender I say something to the bartender and I said oh like I thought for happy hour you know the drinks were half price and he was like oh no no no it's only certain things on the menu and I'm looking at them I'm like okay well where and so then Wes is like please stop But then I show him my phone because I had the screenshot, which is what I sent Wes. And I said, but your sign says half off drinks. There's no asterisk. There's no happy hour menu. It just says half off drinks.

And you know what? False advertising, huh? But we still paid full price for everything.

They wouldn't budge. And I wasn't going to ask for, I was not going to be that person that asked for a manager. But he was like, nope, nope. It's only certain things.

Can I speak to your manager? Have you ever done that before? Can I speak to your manager? And the guy comes out with his mustache fully in line and starts giving you the, well, you know, I can give you a coupon for your next visit.

Wes was so embarrassed. He's like, I can't believe you said anything. Half off drinks means half off drinks. This is important. I was like, this is our spring and summer.

Yes.

Right?

I don't understand the reason why, though. It sounded like everything you said was factual-based. It wasn't like you had an opinion.

Yeah, Your Honor. The sign. I was like, well, look at your sign outside. Great.

Even if they had a special happy hour menu, the sign should say that. Yep.

I know, but you should have said, I will not stand for this. You should have said, we're not going. You said, I'm going on social media, and I'm drawing a picket in front of this place. We're going to cast a group of people to protest. We will never come here ever again. um you can't false advertise that i hate i hate when a place will do it where they'll say to you that they have a special on something and this is something i talk about all the time with my car dealer guys over at gordon chevrolet the car dealer that will say we've got cars that are priced under such and such and they literally had one in like 2017 they haven't had one since but They keep that line up there. And Gordon Chevrolet, their whole motto is that, you know, they don't want you getting catfished when you go in and you don't. They'll make sure. They say they got it. They got it. But this is interesting with the happy hour because at that point, I want to drink. I want to get drunk. Half for half price. At least. For half price. For half price. Somebody needs to call me. I want a bartender to call me. Matt the bartender is one of my favorites. Chelsea and I love Matt all the time. If it's half-off drinks, do you guys water your drinks down? I want to know if they do that. Do they put in less of a pour? Matt gives us the strongest pours I've ever had in my life. I love Matt. We're mad at it. Don't give away your spot. For sure, for sure. Matt was at a place. Matt told me this. He went to one place to work. He had two jobs. One place he went to, he said he couldn't work there anymore because they told him to work with light pours. He doesn't like light pours. That's so weak. Yeah, got to give a good pour. Good pour means good tip. What's going on, Jessica?

i just have a wild guess that it's applebee's why does applebee's do this every single time i go there really they have like half off appetizers at night i think from like 9 to 11 and they're like oh no that's only for this or that i'm like i've been sitting here for now what do you mean no you can't get those and there's a list of them but they they deny me to half off appetizers or half the hour drink every day this is a serious business you have

to be very clear yeah i i i hate when i hate when they have the whole uh you gotta order from like three different drinks and none of those drinks are drinks that i would ever want you know what i mean like i there's like i ain't drinking that drink give me a good drink give me something i want that's going to be good

Really? I used to love that patch pizza that they had. It was like a white pizza. It was good, too. I took a girl to Applebee's one time. She said, I'm not eating here. She said she wasn't going to eat there? She said I'm not eating her. Why? She thought she was worth more? I guess. So where did you guys go?

All right, let's go. I don't remember. I just remember that moment. I was like, yeah, okay.

Did we ever have Tony Roma's hair? Did you guys ever eat at a Tony Roma's?

Oh, the place for ribs.

Tony Roma's. Right? We had him in Arizona. No, that's Tony Roma's.

Tony Roma's, they had it in Arizona when I lived in Arizona, and it was. It was a rib place. Yeah. And I remember we went to Tony Roma's one time, and they had a deal. It was on mini ribs, which, by the way, how do they get ribs so small? Did they cut them in half? I don't want to know. That's baby kid. Was it? It's like cocktail wieners. How do they get cocktail wieners so small? They had mini ribs, and the deal was for one hour, you could get all you can eat mini ribs. And I went into the place with Kid Marconi, who is our night guy at our radio station. Kid Marconi and I ate so many of them, they asked us to never come back.

Are you serious? It was bad.

The only other place that we got kicked out of was when this whole show, the Mojo in the Morning Show, got kicked out.

Hi, so I go to Chili's with my friends at least once a month, and every time we want to get a drink, the bartender or the lady that attends us, she's always like, oh, you guys can't get these specials because you have to sit at the bar, or these appetizers are only at the bar, and it's kind of annoying. Like, we don't even go there anymore. We go to, like, other places now because, like, why do they do that, you know?

Yeah.

You don't want to sit at the bar.

You know what?

Yeah. That's really weird, too, that you have to be sitting at the bar to get that. But I get it.

They want to be in the bar area or something like that. They don't want to take up a table that somebody was going to eat a dinner at, probably. Right?

Mm-hmm. But that makes sense. Okay.
