Goodbye, HVAC unit that never worked. goodbye phone system that barely ever gave us reliability goodbye moldy ceiling tiles and black mold that might i don't know there's all kinds of stuff in this studio i'll be honest with you guys i never thought that i would actually say to myself that i'm sad that this moment has come i can't believe it but i am one that has a hard time with letting go of things i am not necessarily a hoarder but I will say this change has always been kind of tough for me and if it is for you too it's I think it's understandable but this place has been our home for the last 20 years and it will not be the same I know we'll have newer nicer facilities and better technology and all that stuff but we have so many memories that are here there's a lot of and I don't know if any of our listeners have had any of those memories if you're some of the people that have done everything from shaved your head in this studio to shaved your crotch who knows i don't know but there's been so many people that took part in contests here i mentioned this the other day on the air and a listener sent me a picture of when we did the soldier boy uh tell them crank that song yeah everybody did the dance yep and we had soldier boy come here and we literally had tons of people oh my god my my last sharpie in this market in this thing it's getting really sentimental

you zach by the way for getting me my last exact cleanx here um i remember way back when in i think it was 2004 that we moved from where the transmitter is for this building to this facility. It was Steve Schramm was the boss. He moved his hair because he lived a half a mile down the street and it was close to his house. I give him crap all the time. I'm like, you know what? I guess if I was the boss, I'd put it in our basement if I had to, you know what I mean? So I didn't have to do much of a commute. And as radio goes, he never got a chance to actually really work in this building because our company ended up uh letting him go you know and i remember showing him around this building that not that long ago and i said to steve i go this is the building that you built you know he did he built this building they didn't let him go he was promoted to a listener well you know what and honestly steve would look at it that way that's how that's how honestly uh positive of a guy he was when we moved here i thought this was the stupidest building ever to work in the only thing cool about it was

that. It was A&W Repair's old headquarters, but it didn't make sense. But you know what? It did because it became our home. And it's funny because you can move anywhere. We can move wherever we go. A home is not the building and the four walls and all that stuff. Home is the people that make it, you know, their home. And we are all going over to our new facility and we're going to make that our home. And we're going to love on that place like we loved on this place. And I think we're going to have honestly the best radio you guys have ever heard after about a week and a half of figuring this thing out um how are you guys feeling are you guys feeling good about this

Hi. I actually call all the time, and I just want you to know for the past several years, you have been with me every single day. I drive for a living, and I really just want to give you the warmest wishes, and I hope you have a good transition. Thank you. And I'm wondering, will we still be able to listen in mid-Michigan?

Yes, because nothing changes. So nothing changes about the show, like the Signal, the iHeart app, the radio stations we're on, Toledo, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Channel 955. The only thing that changes is the home base of where we all will be in the Detroit area. We're going to be broadcasting from a new studio, which is in downtown Detroit. And I think people, when I say to people all the time, we're in Farm of Details, Michigan. People are like, where's that? They have no idea. So we'll just say we're in Detroit. Now we'll actually truly be able to say we're in Detroit. And if you've ever gone into or come to Detroit for like a sporting event or whatever, we're just right there in Eastern Market, minutes away from all the big stadiums and stuff.
