Drew McIntyre here from WWE. Wielding the claymore can be a life of chaos. When I'm not dominating in the ring, Chumba Casino is how this warrior takes a wee break. With hundreds of online social games and new weekly releases, there's always something fresh to try. And those daily boosts, next level. Even my free time feels like Valhalla. All right, Mojo on the morning show real quick before we get into a quick trending news and then say goodbye. I want to introduce you guys to some nice people that are in the studio with us. The organization is called Our Neighborhood Academy. And Our Neighborhood Academy is a very cool thing. And I've been hearing a lot of people talking about the struggles of having either an adult child or a just over 18-year-old child that is autistic or has special needs and you don't know what to do. There's no organizations that are around to help them out. Well, our Neighborhood Academy is a place where you will help them out, right?

00:01:11 - 00:01:15 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Hi. Thank you for having us here this morning. My name is Allison.

00:01:15 - 00:01:16 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Allison.

00:01:16 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 1:

Allison. I'm the founder of our Neighborhood Academy. We work with, like you said, young adults or adults who have graduated from a program or high school or, you know, adult transition program. And we work with, you know, young adults like who have autism, Down syndrome, intellectual or developmental disabilities. And our Neighborhood Academy, we're really excited. Next week we have, or I should say June 19th, we have our summer camp starting. So we have lots of fun activities that we're going to do, go out into the community, but also do some learning while the summer months, you know, can sometimes cause, you know, times where you're unsure of schedules or you don't get to communicate with other people as often as the school year.

00:02:02 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, all the programs kind of stop when summer comes, right? And everybody gets their summer vacation, but you got your kids that you want to do something with, right?

00:02:09 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 1:

Yes. So we're really excited to be offering those opportunities this summer. And then in the fall, we also do job training. We do classes. We have social opportunities. We have a big social calendar. And so we'd love for young adults to come and join us and be able to kind of get that structure back, but also get to know different people in the community and be able to build on their friendships when sometimes they lack.

00:02:34 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 3:

Do you have camp spots available still?

00:02:36 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 1:

We do, yes. We'd love for your young adults to come and join us. And I say young adult, but it's really anyone like 18 and up. And so really.

00:02:43 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 3:

OK, so because I have a friend of mine who's got a son who's in his 20s, his late 20s. And he said it's the biggest struggle is that. Oh, where was that? That was a computer that was either up really loud that was restarted or something was going on. That was weird. But he said that the struggle is that there's nothing for them, you know, at that point. And it's cool that our neighborhood academy is doing this. So if you want to, you know, check it out, ourneighborhoodacademy.com, you can, ourneighborhoodacademy.com, or you can give them a call at 248-556-5332, 248-556-5332. And Allison, you're also looking for people that want to help out organizations like yourself, right?

00:03:27 - 00:04:06 | Speaker 1:

Yes. So if you actually come, we're actually in downtown Berkeley. I pass you guys all the time. Yeah, we're right on 12 Mile. We love our location. It's such a great community down there. So we'd love for young adults and anybody to come in and be able to see our space. We actually, if you look at us from 12 Mile, we look like a children's boutique. Yes, you do. So we have a little children's boutique. Yeah. Yep. And so then if you come in our doors, we do a whole bunch of things in our building. So like I said, classes, social opportunities, the store. We want to give opportunities for those who might not have it or are just looking for something else to do and want to continue learning post high school or a transition program. That's great.

00:04:06 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 3:

That's a great thing. We're already getting people contacting us right now saying, oh, my God, tell me again. Ourneighborhoodacademy.com. You can get all the information there. Also on social media, too?

00:04:15 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Facebook, Instagram, all that. So please join us. We'd love to have you.

00:04:19 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 2:

It is Ryan Seacrest here. There was a recent social media trend, which consisted of flying on a plane with no music, no movies, no entertainment. But a better trend would be going to chumbacasino.com. It's like having a mini social casino in your pocket. Chumba Casino has over 100 online casino-style games, all absolutely free. It's the most fun you can have online and on a plane. So grab your free welcome bonus now at ChumbaCasino.com. Sponsored by Chumba Casino. No purchase necessary. VGW group void.
