Terms and conditions apply. Mojo in the morning. Megan, you guys went out for dinner and you said that there was a problem with the server.

00:01:45 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I got to tell you, my favorite thing in the entire world is the fact that my dad lives downtown now in downtown Toledo because we spent so much time together.

00:01:52 - 00:01:56 | Speaker 6:

He's got that new single guy pad, right?

00:01:56 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 4:

Right. And he's, he hates when I say this, he's a rich man. So he takes me out all the time. It's nice. It's nice to have somebody with a credit card that doesn't get declined. So we've been going out to eat a lot recently. And part of that is just him like trying to learn the neighborhood. And I think he's a little more comfortable going somewhere for the first time with somebody. And then he'll go like by himself afterwards. and so we went out to eat and i i could not tell you how we got on this topic so don't ask me how we got here with our server but we really really really hit it off with our server we were having a really great time um he was awesome but we started talking about how taylor lautner from twilight and shark boy and lava girl that's his legacy it will never be anything else to me it It will only be those two movies ever. He married a woman named Taylor. So Taylor Lautner is married to Taylor Lautner. And that to me is my favorite thing in the entire world. I can't explain why I love it so much. But our server was a gay man. And he kind of just immediately blurted out to me and my father, see, this is why I can't date somebody with my own name because I don't want to shout out my own name in bed. let me tell you things that i had never considered before i never once thought about how that must be because we were talking about the benefits of like he was like yes i get to share a like a closet my closet expands when i start dating somebody new that's so exciting yada yada yada but can't ever date a dude with the same name like things you just don't think about yes yeah that

00:03:34 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 6:

would be that would be an awkward reason also the other reason would be nobody would know who they're calling for or who they're or who it is like which one of you guys like if some male came you know if male came to your house like or apartment that you're sharing how would you know who's is whose you know it's the same uh it's the same name who is it too i don't know although the sleeping or the screaming out in the bedroom i'm trying to keep it clean because we got kids listening but that is a uh a very i mean you'd have to come up with a nickname asking where

00:04:03 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 4:

the slippers were what are you i didn't that's what they were screaming the name out for oh yeah

00:04:07 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 6:

yeah that's right where's my bedside table book so what did your dad what did your dad's thoughts

00:04:14 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 4:

on this i've never seen my dad uh actually like truly learn something new in public and see it come across his face and the moment of realization that i saw just spring into his eyes was so beautiful to watch he just started dying laughing he thought our server was great absolutely great

00:04:34 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 6:

yeah that's awesome hey uh anybody listening date somebody with the same name and what are some other reasons why that's an awkward situation dakota you there yeah uh my name is dakota my

00:04:48 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 1:

husband's name dakota and we met in elementary and i guess he was like trying to get with me throughout elementary and middle school, high school, and...

00:05:00 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 3:

Then we finally got married five years ago, so it's both Dakota or both. So our family goes Dakota 2.

00:05:08 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 8:

Dakota 2. Dakota 1. I was going to ask how they know which Dakota.

00:05:11 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 5:

That's kind of funny. Who gets one and who gets two?

00:05:14 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 7:

Can I ask a question about the whole? Yeah, you're number one, right?

00:05:19 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 3:

Well, we call my husband DJ because his no name is James, but it's really funny.

00:05:25 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 7:

Can I ask you a question about the slippers? you know what i'm talking about the slippers she doesn't understand oh yeah if you have to yell yeah his name do you guys ever say each other's name in bed uh when yeah is it weird

00:05:42 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 8:

a little do you say two when you're calling it out oh dakota two my slippers No.

00:05:55 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 3:

And he was really down on the name with Mateo Jr. Sorry, that's his name, Mateo. I was not going to name him Dakota. Our first son is Mateo. He wanted to name it Dakota. Oh, my God.

00:06:08 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 7:

You have a third. You have another Dakota. That's amazing.

00:06:11 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 3:

And he said, we could be the new Kardashians.

00:06:15 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 7:

That could be funny. The new Kardashians. Sarah, you there?

00:06:21 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 1:

Yep.

00:06:22 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 7:

What's going on?

00:06:23 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 1:

My best friend, her dad, her brother, her husband, and her dog's name is Mike.

00:06:30 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 5:

Wait, she named her dog Mike?

00:06:32 - 00:06:32 | Unknown:

She did.

00:06:33 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 7:

And that was after dating Mike already?

00:06:35 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 1:

That's kind of a funny name.

00:06:36 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 7:

Yes. So she already had a Mike. She named her dog Mike.

00:06:40 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 1:

And her dad and her brother's name is Mike. Oh, my gosh. Why'd she name her dog Mike?

00:06:45 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 5:

I have no idea. I really hung up on this.

00:06:47 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 7:

I love when people do that. They say that's more happening more these days.

00:06:50 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 5:

What I'm saying, if your dad and your brother are already named Mike, why do you name your dog Mike?

00:06:54 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I thought you were talking about the fact that people like to name their dogs human names.

00:06:58 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 5:

Carl.

00:06:58 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, Carl. Chad. Joe. Well, we remember we- Barb.

00:07:04 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 5:

Come here, Barb.

00:07:05 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 4:

We interviewed Hall of Fame boxer George Foreman, who named all five of his sons George Edward Foreman.

00:07:11 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that blows my mind.

00:07:13 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 7:

It makes it easy for monogrammed things. What's going on, Joy? Or Roy? Or Roy? Her toy? Who's that?

00:07:22 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's close enough. Hey, I've been a listener since the day you guys started there. Stop it. Nope. It's the day you started, all the way back.

00:07:31 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 7:

No, what I'm saying is stop it. Stop listening to us. We're not that interesting.

00:07:35 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 4:

All right, I'm done. Anyways, my daughter started dating a boy whose name was the same as her brother. Their names were both Connor, and it was so confusing. I looked at the boyfriend, and I said, okay, we've got to change your name. You've got two choices. He says, you've got Barney and Bart. And he didn't say anything, so I said, okay, your name will be Barney from now on. So we always call him Barney, and he answered. All the parents were out to dinner one night. Like his mom and dad were out to dinner with us, and we were just calling him Barney like it was nothing. And he answered, and they looked at him like, why are you calling my son Barney? But the funniest part was I looked at my daughter, and I said, what kind of man lets another man change his name?

00:08:18 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 7:

That's great. Roy, thanks for the call. This is weirder than having the same name as the person you're dating. Whose name was it, Melissa?

00:08:31 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

Hi. So my ex, his mom, and I had the same name.

00:08:38 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that had to be weird.

00:08:41 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 2:

It was very weird.

00:08:44 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:08:44 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 5:

That's another one.

00:08:46 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 7:

Although you don't really call your mom her first name, but it's still weird, right?

00:08:49 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 5:

It's still in your head.

00:08:50 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:08:51 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah.

00:08:53 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, that probably...

00:08:54 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 2:

If we're, like, around family or anything like that.

00:08:57 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. What's that, Mike?

00:08:58 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 6:

Did you guys know that Allie's brother's name is Mike, or Michael? He goes by Michael. Oh, no. And he's dating Allie. Oh, that's right. You told him. Yeah. And that his sister's married. They just got married. Her name's Danny, and she married a Daniel. Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah.

00:09:16 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 7:

that's weird so does it ever get confusing for like families like ali's mom uh no because she

00:09:22 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 6:

calls him michael and me mike and then like you i'm sure you're gonna ask the question if she says my name in bed no no no no the answer to that is not she calls me poppy oh i thought you were

00:09:34 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 7:

talking about your mom no no no can i can i yeah do not make that joke is it weird that because I mean I know you are Mike so that's that's perfect but what if you wanted to be

00:09:47 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

Michael or he wanted to be Mike um it would just be confusing he doesn't live here like he lives in New York so it's it's but when he like he was just here for Christmas so it does get confusing at times yeah uh that's funny

00:10:00 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 4:

Listen to this text. I can't talk on the phone. My name is Ryan. My fiance's last name is Ryan. So I'm going to be Ryan Ryan as my full legal name. Isn't that cool?

00:10:09 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 2:

Ryan squared. Ryan Ryan. Our friends, Britt and John, their last name is Smith. And it's interesting. She never had to change any of her legal paperwork because her last name was Smith. So she went from Smith to Smith as far as married. Isn't that wild? And they don't have to worry about the name stuff like at all. because they got the Smiths. Although it's kind of weird when the whole Smith families all come together. I'm like, who do you belong to now? Who are you guys?

00:10:37 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 1:
