Mojo in the Morning.

00:01:20 - 00:01:34 | Speaker 1:

It is time now for a phone scam on the Mojo in the Morning show. We are going to phone scam Alicia. Her son is starting finals at college, and he's about to graduate. Unless Spike cancels graduation, it's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

00:01:34 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 4:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

00:01:44 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 2:

hello yes my name is Clyde Lauderback office of registrar regarding the graduation of Jaden I'm looking for his mother or father please you are talking to his mom what is your name please my name is Alicia okay Alicia calling with kind of a complicated situation about graduation I wanted to have a conversation with you about it if you have five minutes yes I'll just get right to the point, we're afraid we might not allow him to walk in graduation this spring.

00:02:20 - 00:02:20 | Speaker 7:

Why?

00:02:21 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 2:

Well, you tell me why. Why do you think he wouldn't be allowed?

00:02:26 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 7:

I have absolutely no idea. Did he tell you anything

00:02:29 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 2:

about his behavior? Anything on campus that might have caused for some concern?

00:02:36 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 7:

No. No. My son is a good kid.

00:02:39 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'll tell you what we found. Unfortunately, one night while the school was shut down, you know, during the lockdown, he and some friends snuck into the stadium and they streaked across the field. Do you know what that means, to streak?

00:02:57 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Wait, wait, wait. How do you know this?

00:03:00 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 2:

Probably the same way you could easily come across it. He has a photo of himself on his Instagram account laying in the middle of the field with the logo of our university covering his privates and it was apparently taken by one of the other students who went up to the top of the bleachers to take the picture and there's a whole series of photos they have a video of them slithering through the chain link fence they made the mistake of obviously sharing them publicly and someone brought it to our attention i i still don't because i don't know anything about this and you don't ever look at your son's instagram from time to time but i give my son's privacy is his instagram right but you can give all the privacy you want it's a public instagram and unfortunately you find it how did you find it was brought to our attention someone sent us the photos because it did not fit the mood and spirit of our university and the administration internal review found out about the public exposure and well they have rules for this and now he can't graduate.

00:04:04 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 7:

Okay, okay, wait, okay, okay. We have all been kids. Kids will be kids. I mean, you know, we're talking about graduation here.

00:04:12 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 2:

Well, he's not a kid. He's an adult, and we try and teach our students to be functioning, responsible adults in society, and he hasn't even been answering our calls and returning our messages for the last week. That's why I'm calling you today.

00:04:25 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 7:

I don't know, but you're going to ruin his life over a prank? when kids when you know he just needed to if he if he did i don't know but if he did maybe he just need to blow off some steam which is better than like beating up anybody or anything i mean it's

00:04:42 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

just a joke i just want to clarify could i just clarify that you're actually blaming him removing his pants in the middle of the stadium and laying across the name of our university on i'm just saying he did what he's laying naked in the stadium laying across the unit

00:05:00 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 8:

university's logo with no pants on well this is clearly an overreaction on everybody's part on everybody's part let's let's talk this out since you say you know we're going as adults let's talk this out as reasonable adults look at what you're trying to do over a prank anybody who hasn't pulled any type of prank in high school or college raise their hands Like, nobody.

00:05:31 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 1:

Do you believe your son would pull this kind of prank to ask the Mojo on the morning show to phone scam you right now, live on the radio? Alicia, this is Spike. You're on the radio right now.

00:05:44 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 8:

You know what? Oh, my God. Because, you know, you're going to tell me my firstborn is not going to get his diploma? I was about to drive two hours, and you were going to say that. You were going to say that to my baby.

00:05:59 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 6:

we will we will scam you if i could say anything i wanted to i'd say that was funny right there i don't care who you are it's the home of the world famous phone scams
