All right. So real quick, let me tell you how I've met you after COVID because you started as the announcer. And I remember going to a game when there was only like what I was going to say when there was only like 5000 fans in the stands. But now there's only like 5000 fans. I mean, but no, when there was only like, you know, a short amount of people that were allowed to go to the games because of COVID. And I remember watching you do your announcements and they would put you up on the 300 level or whatever it is. Yeah. And you and the cheerleaders and all those guys, it was the most stupid. You know how covid brought up the stupidness in people like everybody was fake socially distancing, you know, for purposes. But he would be up on the 300 level and they put you up there so that you were so far away from the players. You couldn't get them sick. Yeah. And I'm going, wait a second. They couldn't just have you guys like still be on the sidelines, just have you not as close to the court. But your energy was amazing. And then when they finally got you guys back into play, I watched him like, this guy is good. And I remember contacting you. And then we got a chance to meet. You know how we met? His lovely girlfriend. Yeah, my bae. His better half. She is the beautiful woman who we did our donation to at Christmastime of that van to take kids to go visit their parents who are incarcerated. Tell everybody about that

Yeah, well you guys actually interviewed her around that time She has a foundation called Pure Heart That's for children of incarcerated parents And Mojo, Dwayne Casey Some amazing folks Some amazing folks and partners All banded together to help these kids Who rarely ever get to see their parents And with the money that was donated Purchased a van so we can drive and take these kids around And not only take them to see their parents But bring them to their offices At the old Marygrove location so we can have after-school programming and tutoring and mentoring and really start to foster and build a good community for these children.

It's really a few things where you carry a stigma attached to you and who you are even though you had nothing to do

Yeah Film and when the Millennium happened in 2000 that was the only thing so the entire family is kind of like a going away way party kind of thing we went to the movies so that was my only did you know going to the movies this was your dad's last and then he was going into uh i don't remember for sure um but i remember the next morning that was the hugs and the kisses and the tears and the goodbye and then uh five or six years later you know we were hugging and kissing and crying for a different reason that's because he was finally coming home that's awesome and did you have people in your life that stepped

up as father figures or people that looked after you i mean the two most important people in my

life are my mom and my grandmother and uh yeah they really stepped up for sure so so kev what

So here's what I say. I prioritize kindness. And I think in any level of life, you should just be a good person. And you never know who you're going to meet. Oh, crap. I got to be kind? Come on. So what's crazy is when you talk about representing Dan Gilbert and being with the company, prior to the show today, I showed Spike a video outside of one of the buildings that I took of he and I six years ago. And you never know those little moments six years later what they can become. So I say that to say there were some individuals who were working inside of the Pistons organization and our G-League. Big shout out to LaRonda Burley and Ashton Henderson, who just got recently engaged.
