All right, it is Mojo in the morning. This is actually kind of funny. I was on the phone talking to my friend Paul yesterday, and I said to him, I go, Paul, what are you doing? He goes, I'm heading to Jackson. And I go, what are you going to Jackson for? Paul lives like right by me. And he goes, I'm going to Jackson because I'm going to get my taxes done. And I go, why do you get your taxes done in Jackson? He said that his tax guy is in prison and his tax guy still does his taxes, even though he's in the Jackson prison over there.

How?

I guess the guy still works and does taxes. I don't know how that works, but I thought it was actually kind of funny because I kept thinking to myself, I'm like going, man, you know you're you got to go and visit the guy he assures me that the guy is not in for anything to do with taxes that's my question he's in for something else but he still does taxes and what uh paul does is he still deals with his wife who's out of prison and then he goes and drops things off for the guy or goes and sees him to get the final stuff from him while he is in prison

Isn't most of it over computer now? Everything I do for mine is over the computer. You can't use a computer in prison, can you?

Yeah, I think they have like a library or something, don't they? They have like a, I think they get time. They probably got a lab. Who's been in prison? Lab. That's nostalgic. Who's been in prison? I want to know, you know, what are the things there? Like, can you still get your, can you still do your work? Can you still get your stuff done while you're in prison?

So, wow, I never thought about this, but there are prisoners who obtain law degrees and fight their own trials while in prison. So I feel like they have all the tools, quote unquote, that they need.

And I think that when that happens, they get to ask for things that they need, like their books and things like that, that require them to find out what the law is.

Now, the guy that's doing his taxes, are his prices different?

You know, I don't know. I don't know what the story is. I have no idea. Because his book's got to be on tax Timothy.

Honestly, if I have to drive to Jackson, no offense to get my taxes done, I'm finding a tax person around here.

It's a little more local and convenient. Yeah. He's been doing it for a while.

That's great. I'm not driving to Jackson and back every time I need to drop something off. He cooking them books right. That's what that means. That's for something. Your friend's shady, too.

I've always, I've been to prison once and not that I was in prison, but I went and visited. I actually spoke at a prison once. So I spoke, I, they asked me to come. They were doing like they, it was a pastor of a church who had asked me to come to speak at the prison, which was a wild experience because going in to prison, you got to do all this stuff where they do backgrounds and all the rest of this stuff, but then going in.

you go through metal detectors like you do go to the airport and things when you're in there all i keep thinking the whole time is about movies that had like prison fights and prison breaks and lockdowns right and i'm just like freaking out the whole time thinking if that like buzzer starts going off it was weird and then we walked into all we did was we walked into like uh i don't know like you know uh uh if you've ever been to like a nursing home or whatever they have like a just an empty room that's like where everybody kind of sits there and hangs out and celebrates the common area that's what we went to we went to like one of those areas there and it was like a classroom in a in a school and hung out with these guys and there were a lot of sex offenders that's all i know is that and i found that that you know because the pastor said to me he goes he goes uh it's probably not good for you to ask why are you in but if they want to tell you they'll tell you So I'd say, what's your story? And then what's your story would get more of a why are you in? Oh, yeah. And they would tell their story.

That's a nice way to do it. There are prisoners that be on TikTok Live, though.

Really? Yeah.

I mean, they got cell phones in there. They be cooking hibachi on the stairs. Come on. I pull up a video right now. They're on hibachi. How do they cook hibachi? I've seen them where they're on the stairs, and I don't know what they're using. Outside? We're tired? No, it's inside. Like, inside. It's kind of like they running the place.

You know what's interesting? is that Megan's out on vacation this week. Otherwise, this would be a great topic for Megan to participate in because she gets calls from prison all the time.

Yeah, she gets tons of letters.

Yeah, these guys love Megan. Megan is well-loved in prison. I think that Megan's promo picture is around prison somewhere. What's going on, Jeff? Hi.

Not a whole lot, but I was just commenting on the prison taxes. Yes, you do have access to theaters. They now give you iPads in prison to have access to Facebook, everything else. I mean, some prisons allow it, some don't.

Yeah.

But you absolutely have, you do work in prison and get paid. Okay. And you can claim them on your taxes. Oh, my God.

Do you have screen time on your iPad like I put on there for my kids?

Yep. And you get screen time. You've got to buy, like, Internet time, all that kind of stuff.

How do you know this? have you been in prison yes i have i did two years and tell me your story

so okay so um you know 20 years ago i was a kid you know doing stupid things living in the streets um i went to prison for delivering and manufacturing uh controlled substance okay so yeah i did two years when i was there they were just bringing mp3 players into the prisons and letting you have your own MP3. By the time I left, they were starting to talk about bringing iPads and whatnot in there. And now that's, I guess, everybody can have, you can buy your own iPad, but, right, you've got to pay for the time to be able to connect to Internet. But, right, you can FaceTime people. You can do all kinds of stuff now. Interesting.

Hi, how are you guys?

Doing okay, Lena. I'm just talking about my friend Paul who gets his taxes done from a guy in prison.

Yeah, thank goodness I have never been to prison. But I have a cousin who actually joined a band with a piano, drums, a guitar. They actually distribute CDs and they send it to people. And he got recruited to play piano there. I don't know the band name. I have not listened to it, but yeah. Yeah, my brother actually got his CD, so I'll have to see what it's about.

That's interesting. Wait, a prison band? That sounds kind of wild.

Yeah, so he plays the piano, and he kind of, like, sings and raps kind of deal.

This is, like, very, what is it, the Elvis song? Went to a party at the county jail. Did you ever see that? Didn't he do that? I don't know. No, wasn't, didn't Elvis, like, write that song in prison or write it when he was in jail or something like that?

Oh, that's above my knowledge.

Good morning. What's going on? You sound like a princess. My friend is doing life right now, and, like, we talk on the iPad, like, we video call it and stuff like that, but he basically said they have everything in there except guns and drugs.

They stay there? I bet you they got guns and drugs, too, if he looks hard enough. Probably safer in there than it is over here. What is he doing life for?

murder hey now oh he didn't murder obviously anybody that you loved because you're still friends with him huh never heard somebody say murder coming up he didn't do it he has a read yet he didn't they never do it they never do it right right right wow do you does he ever ask you to uh show him uh like a nipple or something while you're on the ipad together or no would you get cut off for that oh no it's not that type of relationship oh okay does he uh does he miss the women and all that stuff does he miss the fun of what do you think huh um he does but um he's had opportunities opportunities what do you mean by that what does that mean um he's been approached

by like the um or the correctional officers he's been approached by his therapist um wait

For naughty stuff or for what?

He has. This is a dumb question, but where do you go to do that and not get caught? That I don't know.

Hi, my dad's been in prison, in and out for a while, but he's in there right now. And they've been making nachos and garbage bags. Stop it. Oh, my God. Cots full of water. Yeah, they get like a nail cutter and any type of wire. And I don't even know. It's like a teacher or something. Holy cow. And he boils the water.

Do you know if your dad goes to a therapist in prison? Because he might be getting more than therapy, we found out.

um no he doesn't but he's definitely in a family family class to be coming out a better bit a

better dad okay what's what's your dad in for if you don't mind us asking um he got caught you know like just with a lot of baby powder oh a little booger sugar huh yeah he got caught with a lot

of it he was just running around hanging out with his friends and it was like i don't know over $300,000.

Son of a God. That still puts you in prison, by the way. Marijuana doesn't put you in anymore, but Booger Sugar does.

It's Alicia, but I talked last time about his name because he was a felon, and he was basically an accountant in prison. He did a lot of the money moving for the other prisoners and would help them with their paperwork and stuff because you would have to pay for someone to do it for you even though they make no money in prison.

Wait, stop this for a second. Prisoners still have to do their taxes?

they still have to do a lot of stuff that we have to do for like taxes and stuff and you still have to pay for it and where they're supposed to come up with the money I don't know they do end up coming up with the money if you know what I mean there's everything there but but there are drugs there you can sell booze you can make booze when you sell it that yeah so this is me if you're in And the feds, you can make jewelry and purses and bags and art, and you sell it also. That's another way they get their money.

That's amazing. I never thought about that. By the way, if your father was managing money in prison, and if he's made more money for the people he's managed the money for than my guy Craig did, I'm going to hire your dad.

You might want—hey, he's a normal citizen now, but I also have my brother who's in prison for life now. But it's okay. It's okay. You know, it's just all that money my dad made for accounting. We're just going to put it towards a lawyer.

Okay. All right. Did your dad do this? Did your brother do the same thing that your dad did to get him in prison?

No, no. They just switched the rules.

It's a family business.

Yeah, a family business.

Because, you know, I told you I was the only non-felon.

Okay. Yeah. So the counselor thing that you're hearing is all true because I've got a kid with my counselor that when I was in prison. Oh, my God.

You were in prison having sex with your prison counselor and you got her pregnant?

Yeah, now she gets child support and everything else and I can't see my kid. She didn't get fired? Yeah, she got fired. Wow. it was a huge story for a while so we're like to answer the question that i asked earlier

where were you guys hooking up that you weren't getting caught

it well we did get caught but uh it was there was her office was like off to the side and they walk around but we had another person that could see the guard coming so they would tap on the wall and let us know when they were coming. Wow.

Would you have to pull the pants up really fast?

Yeah, well, I had... I cut a hole in the bottom of them, so when I stood up, they just pulled up. So how did you get caught?

Easy access.

Yeah, the lady got mad next door at the girl, and she didn't bother knocking. Oh, my God. I looked up, and there was the guard standing there watching me. Oh, my God.

That's unbelievable. Quick question. Was she attractive? Because I'm assuming that... Was she?

No. Absolutely not.

But in prison, everything's relative, right?

She was a 10 in jail. Yeah. Well, that's... Yeah. It wasn't a man. Yeah. She just had a vagina. That was it. Okay. All right.

At that point. Yeah. Wow. All right. Well, Steve, Prisoner Steve, man, I'm happy to see that you got your life straight. I'm sad that you can't see your kid, though. That's too bad. That's trash.

Yeah, it does suck. That part does suck. He still has to pay child support, but he can't see his kid. They don't help me with anything. It's weird.
