00:00:44 - 00:00:51 | Speaker 3:

I like how he started in a real high key And then realized he wasn't going to make it So he just kind of Descended a mountain as he was singing

00:00:51 - 00:01:20 | Speaker 1:

it was pretty good uh how are you christy you doing good are you i was great yeah how about you guys oh well listen the lions could make the uh playoffs you understand that now i do um it's a possibility we just need a few things to happen it's one of those things where i know you know as a lions fan i always feel like you know all right it ain't gonna happen i'm Debbie Downer about the whole thing, but I don't know.

00:01:21 - 00:01:24 | Speaker 3:

Christy, you could also make the playoffs. We all could if we think positively.

00:01:24 - 00:01:50 | Speaker 1:

And I could actually be musically inclined. I don't know. What's a better option, do you think, for the Lions can make the playoffs or I actually could one day play the piano? Are there the only two options? You know what? You know what? If you worked with me, it could be piano, but let's see, you know? Yes, well, I just wanted to tell you to have a great weekend, and thank you so much for calling. Thanks for listening to the show. Did you enjoy the music that we just played?

00:01:51 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

00:01:52 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah.

00:01:52 - 00:01:53 | Speaker 2:

Good throwbacks. Good banger.

I went out for lunch yesterday with KP. and then I find out that after we have lunch KP's got like a whole bunch of stuff to do which by the way you and I we probably do lunch for like 8 hours

00:02:21 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 2:

couldn't we? We really could. We'd sit there

00:02:23 - 00:02:25 | Speaker 1:

and just gab the whole time

00:02:25 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 2:

I feel like every thought that I've ever thought occurs when I'm with you. I know

00:02:29 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 1:

she was asking me Barbara Walters questions yesterday. I was? Yeah. Oh my god I was almost crying at points

00:02:35 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 2:

yes. Oh I see what you're saying I thought you meant I was asking questions about Barbara Walters

00:02:39 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 1:

No, no, not questions of a Barbara Walters. Me too. I'm like, I didn't know that you knew so much about Barbara Walters. No, no. I was so confused. Remember Barbara Walters used to make everybody cry back in the day.

00:02:48 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 2:

Did I make you cry? Did you please say her name right?

00:02:50 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 1:

Barbara Walwa.

00:02:51 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

00:02:52 - 00:02:56 | Speaker 1:

There you go. But listen to what happened to KP. This will make you cry. What happened to you?

00:02:56 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 2:

So my entire life, I've always been known as a chronic procrastinator, and it finally bit me in the butt. Like, I don't know what it is about me and my car and filling up the tank, but I just don't. And I thought I had enough to get me from point A to point B because after our lunch, I went straight from lunch to back to work to work. And then I needed to go to my last appointment and then back to work after my last appointment because I forgot to do something. And on my way over, I was running on fumes. I thought I could make it. And I literally stalled in the middle of an exercise. Oh, my God. Ran out of gas? Ran out of gas. Knock on wood, that has never happened to me. Just your whole car just shut down. Well, actually what happened was I knew as soon as my stop start happened, I'm like, oh, no, it's not going to have enough to get it back on. I should have turned my stop start off. And it's funny because this has happened to me before.

00:03:51 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 1:

Spike, by the way, is seething right now.

00:03:53 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 3:

As a father of two daughters, you don't know how many times I've given that lecture.

00:03:57 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 2:

My mom was always like, you need to have your tank filled at least a quarter or it'll freeze in the winter. And no, my tank was literally gas fumes. But this has happened to me before where I was driving, uh i think in oxford and i ran out of gas on lapeer and i rolled into the gas station like it was absolutely perfect i almost i actually applauded myself that i yeah i got right to the gas station rolled right to the pump stopped and got gas and then was able to you drive like a jeep

00:04:22 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 1:

cherokee right one of those uh a compass a compass yeah okay so you have this compass and i'm sure there's a warning light how long has the warning light been on uh actually only two days which two days only two days i don't even and you live like way out you know you we're in farmington hills you live like uh auburn hills or something right i live like 35 oh my god so yeah that was

00:04:45 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

really dumb and i felt like a doofus honestly because even with the when you put your emergency flashers people will still sit behind you and hawk at you well they're the doofuses there like hello something's clearly wrong i couldn't help you know i was calling

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 6:

them the doofus then i'm like i'm literally in the middle of it yeah you're both i am the doofus

00:05:03 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 3:

give me the dunce hat i am the doofus so what did you do because i've always worried if i ever ran out of gas i don't have a gas you know can in my car yeah i don't know i think i need to get one

00:05:14 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 6:

if this is going to be no you just know i can't trust myself and um yeah i actually got so afraid because i was i thought it was raining it was slippery if someone isn't paying attention i was afraid that i was going to get um hit in the back and i didn't want to get out of my car because him in the middle of the intersection right so i'm sitting in my car praying to lord to the lord that i didn't get hit i ended up calling like a non-emergency number to have the police sit behind me which i questioned because i thought they might give me a ticket or i don't know if that's a thing if someone was gonna you know penalize me for being a doofus but um no the cop was actually super nice he was laughing at me and he turned on his flashers he sat behind me the whole time and people went around me so yeah but shout out to my lash lady i ended up giving her a really big tip why what did this the last she helped me oh she came in with gas i called her i just left my appointment i said hey uh and we've been friends for two years um and she yep she just left her lash appointment or my lash appointment and she came out with a little gas can and my car did you tip extra for that do you get more money yeah i did tip her yeah i i've been about her

00:06:19 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 3:

instantly so lashes and gas lashes and gas well by the way this has this ever happened any listeners Where you've run out of gas In a really bad place Because here you are, you said you ran out of gas And you're right in the middle of the intersection

00:06:33 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 6:

I was just about to go into the intersection

00:06:36 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 3:

That would have been even worse

00:06:37 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 6:

I know, can you imagine

00:06:39 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 3:

Or the highway, I always wondered I had that flat tire Right in front of the Chrysler building Off of 75 this past year And I drove on the flat Because I knew I'd kill myself If I got out of the car like with cars whizzing by me at like 90 miles an hour you know so i'm like i'll just buy a new rim if i have to and i did but uh i like to think they're very helpful and i'll like you know come

00:07:04 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 1:

rescue you guys out of any situation just call me i'm there for people that might be the one thing i'm not coming i'm not coming you know you're on empty for two days and now you're gonna inconvenience my whole afternoon to stand in the rain and make my hands smell like gas and i gotta go stop my whole day because you didn't want to get out of the

00:07:23 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 2:

car and fill up? I think if that ever happened too, I would just make up a story like, there must be a hole in my gas case.

00:07:28 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 1:

I would tell them if I knew it for two days. Oh my gosh, someone siphoned out my

00:07:33 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 3:

gas. Agreed. Hey, Mojo, in the morning, hello.

00:07:37 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo, I just wanted to call and say my mom back in the day was notorious for running out of gas and someone always had to go rescue her. Oh my god,

00:07:45 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 3:

your mom was like a multiple gas offender?

00:07:48 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. I think one time I counted it three times in like a span of two weeks. I had to go get her from somewhere.

00:07:53 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, geez. At that point right there, like Spike, I would just say no, enough is enough. Bridget, what's going on?

00:08:00 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 5:

Hi. So I was just telling KP I had something better. I was about to call in four before she called me, but I actually ran out of gas right in downtown Rochester.

00:08:12 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no. Right in the middle of the downtown.

00:08:15 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my. And that presents a big issue for traffic.

00:08:18 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 3:

Everybody's like, hey, isn't that Bridget?

00:08:22 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 5:

I had something way worse happen.

00:08:24 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 3:

What?

00:08:25 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 5:

I was driving on 69, going to Flint, and my turbo blew in my car.

00:08:33 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no. What does that mean? Your turbo blew in 69?

00:08:36 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 5:

69. Wait, I don't know what that means.

00:08:39 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea what that means.

00:08:40 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Turbo is part of the engine.

00:08:43 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no.

00:08:43 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 5:

So what happened? What happens? It blew. So when my turbo blew up, it blew out half of my engine. I had about $20,000 in car repairs because of my turbo.

00:08:57 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 1:

Wow. What happened? Did you put in the wrong oil or just age?

00:09:00 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 5:

No. I bought a cheap car. I bought a $20,000.

00:09:04 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 3:

See, that right there is just not your fault. The running out of gas in the middle of Rochester is.

00:09:11 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 5:

That was my fault.

00:09:12 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that was the one you got to take ownership for. And if you stay there long enough, they decorate you nicely, just like they do the downtown area during the holidays. It's a very pretty place. It is beautiful.
