kp i'm feeling a lot better today but it was a rough couple days it was huh so so you worked

on monday you came in on monday and i had i'd made mention that you did sound like you were very congested which i actually thought that it sounded cute to be honest with you it was kind of like one of those things where it was like i don't know you're a that's what it sounded like That's what it kind of sounded like.

That's kind of scary.

Like, you ever know someone, somebody's like, talk. They talk, okay. It's like they talk with their tongue at the top of their mouth.

Oh, good. Yeah.

You were getting progressively worse as the day went on now. And that is what was so weird to me because I started sneezing on the flight back to Detroit. That's how, that's why I thought it was allergies. And that's why I kept telling, I kept telling myself, it's allergies, it's allergies, it's allergies. It was not allergies. By the time I think we got to Monday, it hit me at work. it was like do we had a meeting i believe like midday and i was like i was dying yeah and i was trying to like pull through and then um but i just want to say because i uh i had everyone convinced it was it was no nobody was convinced i had myself convinced that it was allergies and it was for sure cold but i get these brutal allergy breakouts like i don't even know if you'd call it a breakout when and allergy season hits, and I legit look like I'm high. Like I said, you guys did a picture yesterday? Yeah. Where it was like, I don't know, did you see it?

Your picture? Yeah. I just looked at it, so we send our little topic diaries to each other, and you email a picture of yourself, and you look like, you look like you're high.

The picture you sent though, it almost looks. Clearly he's high. It almost looks photoshopped, I've never, and I know it's not, I'm just saying, I've never seen someone's eyes look like that in both of your eyes, like bright, bright pink.

Yes. That's horrible. Oh, my gosh. Can you imagine? Because that was when I was a waitress. Can you imagine having your waitress look like that? And it looks like you have a pink eye in both eyes. Yeah. And comes up to your table and be like, hey, here's your fries. Want some ketchup? Yeah, no. It was rough. So I just want to.

I just seen my allergies last week. And I have the same horrible pollen and seasonal allergies you have. And I was laughing because I'm like, you kept saying that. And I'm like, this is not the time for that. This is like, everything's dead right now. Yeah, I was going to say that. This is an allergy season.

That's why I thought it was from coming up from Tampa. Something must have triggered my allergies there. You know, it happened to me when I was in Chicago because I have really bad allergies. You're just around different plants and you're normally around.

Yeah, I get it in Florida sometimes.

Yeah.

So, okay, so it could be allergies then.

Because your body's just like not accustomed to the ecosphere there. Also, who sneezes when they have a cold? Like, I don't know if that's just a me thing. I never used to sneeze. That's why I thought it was allergies, too. Like, I didn't have any body aches. I didn't have a headache. I was just sneezing.

Well, I want to tell you this, that ever since Monday, and then you telling me at the end of the day that you weren't feeling...

and well and you might not be in on Tuesday. I'm a hypochondriac because I felt like I have, I'm like, oh my god, I'm getting sick. I'm going to get sick. Friday we got the broadcast, which we do by the way, tomorrow, Kennedy's Irish Pub. Come join us. But then Saturday we got, you know, Irish and Ionia. And there's like two things I do not want to miss. Honestly, if I'm going to miss any of these things, I'd rather miss tomorrow than miss Saturday. But I know if I miss tomorrow, it's like what we talked about yesterday at this time when we were talking about lucy having her party her after show or after uh school whatever the heck it is get together um you don't go to work on friday you can't go to work on saturday so i don't want to be sick so i've been you should have seen me yesterday so yesterday i had a um meeting at top golf because i'm doing a mojo in the morning uh golf tournament to benefit the little league of pontiac the pal league the police athletic league And so we got together there to show the setup of what it's going to look like because we're doing it at Topgolf because golf course, you know, little tournaments and stuff, they take too long. Have you ever gone to one of those before? They're like they start at like 10 in the morning and they don't end till like 7 o'clock at night. And some people love them. I hate them. So we said, you know what, let's just have a night of partying at Topgolf to raise money. So yesterday I'm like, stay away from me. I'm keeping people at bay because I don't want people around me to get me sick. I want to be able to get through. Like, do you ever worry, Spike, are you worried that you're sitting next to her right now?

So, well, it's funny because I was at the theater two nights ago, and the lady behind me just kept coughing and coughing and coughing. And, you know, and we've kind of let our guard down. But wintertime is usually when I get sick. I always get colds and viruses. I just typically I'm a Petri dish for always catching. I would always get whatever the girls would bring home from school. And now they're older, but I have a six-year-old boy in my house. And it's, again, you know, always bringing germs home. And then, yeah. It's true. And then I was just reading this week, there's another small wave of COVID going around. My sister, her husband, and both of her kids have it right now. Yeah, I know a bunch of people, even people in my immediate circle that have COVID right now. Because I think they say because of winter break, people traveling, and then they all brought it back here. Yep. And so I just keep thinking the same thing as Mojo. They're like, I haven't had a St. Patrick's Day in three years. Please don't ruin this for me.

That was the point where I was like, you know what? Whatever this is, I'm going to stay home. And just because I knew we had so much coming up, plus, I don't know. I realized when I walked into Cody's office yesterday and I couldn't hand her, not yesterday, on Monday, I handed her a prize that she had to give out that I was toppling over. That's when I knew that it wasn't.

Oh, you actually were unstable.

Yeah, I literally was like, okay, Cody, I'm going to go home.

Wow. Well, we're happy to have you back. Oh, no.

Oh, yeah, I was just calling in that I wanted to apologize to KP for her future. uh allergies get worse every year and they always will because a lot of cities don't want to deal with the cleanup of female plants because it drops all the fruit so they get rid of all the female trees so it's just male trees and all the pollens being released and nothing's catching it

so exponentially every year it's going to get worse and i'm so sorry

Wow. Well, now we know the answer. That was a very technical thing. I didn't know, and I don't understand. How do you know all this stuff, Jackie?

Because I don't know anything except for useless facts.

Honestly, I feel like it's the whole year. After the last frost, once things start blooming.

So, Spike, you sent this yesterday in our group chat. And this morning I was listening to WWJ Newsradio 950 on my way in. And they were talking about how Saturday we are supposed to get like blizzard-like conditions without the sticking of the snow. It's going to be like blustery snow, wind, cold like temperatures. And I said, are you kidding me? like didn't we say two weeks ago or whatever or three weeks ago when it was like that condition on a friday and i said this cannot be that way for irish and ionia and i was like oh my god

We're thinking about us going out and partying, and we're going to be partying in a great time. But, Mike, will you explain to people that it's not purely outside? Like, we obviously will drink enough to keep ourselves warm. Yeah.

But there's heated tents. You could go in and out of Hopcat if you wanted to. If you got the VIP pass, you could go in Grand Rapids Brewing Company. But really, if you haven't drank in a winter festival in Michigan, are you even really from Michigan? Amen. That's true.

Amen, yeah. I feel like everybody should have, by adulthood, circled around a bonfire in February and drinking while standing in eight inches of snow.

Put on some gloves and a hat.

It's part of the fun. That's why people go to opening day, and you're just day drinking out in the cold.

Although, I'll be honest with you, though. You're right. We're from Michigan, but...

It's still never fun. It's still not fun. I was trying to throw a few things in a pile to pack, because I have a busy night tonight and tomorrow. So I just wanted to be prepared And I was like I'm literally doubling up On my coats I'm bringing I bought hand warmers For all of us So we can put them in gloves I bought foot warmers For all of us Like the true mom I am So we can stick them To the bottom of our socks And our boots I'm serious We will be warm And partying

That's why I sent that To you guys last night Because Halloween And St. Patrick's Day Are similar In that you have this outfit You want to show off

I definitely bought The cutest bodysuit So I wanted to make sure The girls knew You're going to have to wear A jacket

And I'm not buying a green coat. I'm not doing that.

I do have a green coat, it's just not warm, so I'm not wearing it. My winter jacket is green, so I feel like I'm

wearing it. Oh, good for you. You know what, though? You know what's funny is that I was thinking, okay, well, maybe green hats, green gloves, all the rest of that stuff, and then I was trying to think what could we do last minute to make some money off of this deal? Because if it does get really cold, maybe we could call up our friends that print up stuff for us and we can have them print up Mojo in the morning like green like, you know, snow hats or snow gloves or something like that, and then we sell them on a corner. What do you think?
