And there's some interesting rules to it because you could get yourself into a little bit of trouble if you do use your phone and have it in your hand. The only way that you can have it in your hand to use it is if you're calling 911 because there's some kind of an emergency. Otherwise, you have to use the hands-free devices like CarPlay or Android Auto or have earbuds in your ear. But the first time that you get charged with this, you get $100 first-time offender penalty and or 16 hours of community service, followed by the second time $250 fine, and then the third time, if you get it three times in the course of, I think it's three times within three years, you actually could lose your license for nothing.

And the reason that they say that they're doing this is back in 2022, they say that there was a record amount of accidents that took place in Michigan and the people were on their phones at the time. I actually have one of those things. So they're recommending that you put it there and you're not looking, you know, at your phone or have your phone in your hand. That's basically saying, okay, I put it there and you can actually watch your phone from there. I know it's, you can text, you can still text, you know, or, you know, it's not in your hand. And so there's a kind of a, I don't know, there's kind of a weird thing to this whole thing. Is it really going to help people?

I hate this so much, but it really is better. Every state that's done it, as that drops in, it's the right thing to do. But I'm one of the people that drives talking on my phone all the time. So I know I'm going to get caught on it. But every state that's done it, all the data, and they can totally tell if you're talking on your phone, If you're texting on your phone, all that data gets sent through and they can tell me they know what you're doing on your phone if they subpoena your records. But this is going to be rough.

Can I be honest with you? I don't know if I buy any of the states that have put it in. The things have gone down. I think everything is – I'm a conspiracy terrorist to this whole thing. And I want to know why the government wants to, like, keep you from being on your phone and your hand and stuff like that. Because I will say this to you. If you're using the Bluetooth, you're just as using – you know, how many times have you had it where you can't get your song to play and you're looking at your screen in front of you and pushing the button or trying to figure it out?

Right. So you're interacting with your phone looking at your screen.

But, no, so, like, forever ago, there was – I don't know, 2020 Dateline, one of those things. but they had a professional driver drive a course by himself. They timed everything. Then they had him drive a course while they talked to him on the phone, asking questions like, what's 2 plus 2? What's your address? And blah, blah, blah. Significant drop in ability.

It does make sense. Do you want your 17-year-old talking on their phone while they're driving, or do you want them to have a little bit on the steering wheel?

Why not just create something that, like, when you're driving fast, like they do with Pokemon Go. I know this is a silly reference, but with Pokemon Go, if you're in the car, you cannot use it because you're moving too quick and the app recognizes So now I'm a passenger and I can't use my phone? Well, so? You need to use your phone that bad? What do you need it for? What do you need it for?

You've never sat in the car with my brother longer than 20 minutes. I need a break. That is true. What if you're the passenger and you're on a 10 hour road trip? Well, they always ask that
