Oh, my gosh. Okay, so Wes and I met some friends out for dinner the other night, and our waiter was telling us this story about how they had a girl who had just started as a waitress that day, and she didn't even last a full hour before she decided that she was going to quit because she just couldn't handle the kitchen, what was happening in the kitchen, and not in a dirty way. It was actually one of those restaurants where you can see the kitchen if you're a patron sitting there eating dinner. But raw meat, I don't know what it was specifically. Something grossed her out, and she just said, I've never worked in the food service industry before. I am not cut out for this. And she quit, and he said he thinks it was about 51 minutes she had this job. Wow. And she was done, and I thought, can anybody beat that?

Is there anybody that can beat 51 minutes?

Let's just say an hour.

But you don't want them quitting during the job because I've had that happen to us. Remember I told you the story about that? Yeah. We sat there forever. And they kept filling our waters up. And I'm like, is anybody going to tell this waitress to come back out here? And you found out, oh, she quit. Nobody says anything to you.

I had an Amazon delivery guy come up to the house one day, and he's dropping it off, and I see that he's about to arrive somehow. I don't know if you were on the doorbell or something. And I go outside to greet him. I'm like, hey, how's your day? How's it going? He's like, I'm about to quit. This is.

This ain't what I thought it was going to be. He's like, it's harder than I thought it was going to be.

Is he the guy that drives his own car? Because the people that drive their own car, I feel like they just get the job to take the packages home with them.

I don't like that, by the way. I hate it. When they roll up to my house.

I want them driving that big old super spaceship looking thing. So, Mario, hi. Can you beat the 51 minutes that waitress quit? What's going on?

Yeah, I think it was, like, 20, 30 minutes. So I was working at this restaurant called Beirut Palace with my first job. I was, like, I don't know, 14, 15 years old, and I was supposed to be washing dishes, and I hate onions. So the owner came in the back with a bucket of onions and told me to cut up the onions. So I was like, oh, this is not part of my job, right? So he went back into the front, and I ran out the back door and never looked back. Oh, my God.

All because of onions.

Did you not, you didn't know, you didn't know you were going to have to do any kind of work like that, like chopping up stuff?

No, he said I was going to be washing dishes, you know, I was getting in trouble at the time, my mom told me I had to get a job, so I was like, you know what, I'll work at my favorite restaurant, washing dishes, and then he came in with onions, and I was like, anything else would have been fine.

Word of advice, don't ever work at your favorite restaurant, because it will no longer be your favorite restaurant once you do that.

Yeah, they ended up dying down.

It's the worst. Let's go to, is it Trace? Vegan. Wes is vegan. What's going on? Trace can beat, he can beat 30 minutes. What? How long was it?

About 14 minutes. He walked into a McDonald's and got jobs, a buddy of mine and I, and we started pickle races down the window while we were at work.

Wait, you started what? Pickle races?

Oh, my gosh. So, pickles at the window. You see which one gets down to the bottom first. You had to buy about 30 or 40 on the window by the time the manager got to the back again.

Oh, my gosh. That took you longer to actually fill out the application than it did for you to be dicking around in the back with pickles. That's crazy.

Definitely did. Yeah, they interviewed us and sent us to the back, and by the time they got back there, they didn't want us back there anymore.

I love it. Paws just came by us here on opening day. I want Paws' skin. I want to be able to wear it. Yeah, I want to get in there. I want to be warm. You're warm. You're the warmest one here today, Paws. He looks so good. Paws is the best mascot in all of sports.

I can't beat 15 minutes, but I think it was like 35 minutes. I'm a travel nurse, and I showed up to an assignment in a town not far from here. I was supposed to be in the ICU. They said, you're going to the step-down unit, which is like a med-surg. I don't know anything about working a floor. And I said, I'm sorry, I can't do med-surg. And they're like, well, this is what the assignment is today. This is what you're here for. And I said, well, I got to go. I can't do it. And I left. I had to leave. I can't. So, yeah.

Did you, like, nicely say it, or did you say it?

I quit this bitch. Well, I tried to be nice about it, but it didn't end nice. Oh, jeez. So I know that, yeah. So they cut my contract, so I ended up, you know, being the one that was out of money. But I went on and found something better.

Does anybody worry when this happens that you'll never get a job again? Because I always used to worry that I'd get a bad reference and not get a job. And then I realized nobody ever does references.

You want to know it's so funny except for our company because somebody put me down as a reference and they just called me. Really?

But the thing is interesting. You cannot give a bad reference because somebody can sue you for a bad reference. Why?

Well, the longest I ever worked at a job, it was actually my very first job at a dry cleaner. this is the drag clinic my mom goes to and within 10 minutes of working there they put me on the register and then this lady she came in and i'm pretty sure she was like on crack or something because she was just very hot and she scared the mess out of me i called my mom like mom come pick me up she's like you haven't even been here an hour i'm like no come did you just say the longest

you've worked at a job oh no like i'm saying the shortest okay i thought i thought that was the longest i'm going how many jobs have you you got to know how to deal with cracking

it was yeah it was the shortest and it was my first time trying out at a job it was just it was horrible it was scary
