Mojo in the Morning Show. so we were hanging out with some friends and my buddy will brought up something that i think is a potential topic here on the uh the show and you guys tell me your thoughts on this one if you go over to a friend's house to eat and the food just ain't no good wasn't that isn't that from like an old rap song i think it is um if you go over to a friend's house is it rude to ask the people whose home that you're going to for their wi-fi password or is it just normal that they should actually actually probably have it on a sheet at the door like so you can just write it down you know how that people will have that like if you go to a doctor's office it will say dr anderson's wi-fi password is You know, whatever. Cavity.

So we were hanging out with our friends, Will and Jessica, and Will finds it rude to ask for your Wi-Fi password. He said that you should not ask for that, which is interesting because there's a lot of things that Will has done that I think are rude. And I don't think this is one that is rude. But is it rude to ask? Like if I, Megan, why am I asking? Spike, if I come over to your house, I know that she's never going to let me at her house.

Megan, if we're sitting in your driveway and we need your Wi-Fi.

Not even then. I don't think it's rude, but I do think it's embarrassing to ask for it.

Why is it embarrassing?

Because it means that my data's out and I can't afford more, so I need Wi-Fi.

What do you mean data's out? Nobody pays for data. You have Unlimited now, and nobody pays for minutes and stuff.

Everybody pays for data. What are you talking about?

On your phone? Yeah. So your Wi-Fi is your phone. You use your phone for your Wi-Fi? And you don't actually have, like...

You run out of data on a monthly basis? Yeah, they don't. Your plan is so little data.

Are you buying this from somebody's garage? Where are you getting it from? Honestly. Were you just saying that as an example, or that's a joke?

No, it'll slow down your phone. You never hit your limit, and then it's...

Oh, yeah, you still have data, but it's unusable.

No, if you had a shared account, my daughters used to only... They would never put their Wi-Fi on in the house, and they would stream stuff for three weeks straight, and then we would hit our Macs, and then it... Yeah, you don't run out. It's just slow. They put you on the slower bandwidth. Yeah. But there's nothing wrong with asking for someone. I'll share my Wi-Fi with you. But I understand some people are concerned if they have certain jobs or they're afraid of hacking or something like that.

I guess the only rude part for me would be that I'm embarrassed by my password. So, like, I don't want to tell you what it is. Just hand me your phone and I'll type it in.

Can I say this, though, with the password thing? I don't want to share it with a neighbor. Like if my neighbor, you know, Jen comes and says, hey, can I have your Wi-Fi password? I'm not going to share with her because there's a potential that she's still using my Wi-Fi password if she's close enough. You don't call your Wi-Fi something so nobody touches it? I have my Wi-Fi listed as my dog's name.

Is it really?

okay so it's funny that you mentioned not to give neighbors wi-fi password because we had a little predicament in the penrose household where my brother aaron was giving all of the neighbor kids our wi-fi password and they would use it all at the same time and my mom was getting so mad

because our internet was so slow yeah plus if some people use the same password for everything and if they have this

same password for their wi-fi they have for everything else they don't want to share it

uh cassidy what's going on hey um my wi-fi is on my fridge for everybody to see as soon as you walk inside it's right here the name password you got you got the sign up like that like i was

saying at the doctor's office they always have the the sign up i actually thought about doing this with xfinity so i do xfinity you know uh as commercials i love xfinity um and i actually have my Wi-Fi set up in a way where I thought about doing this and I told the guys that I that I you know hey can I do it put a guest password down or put a guest part of it on so it would be like kind of you know you're using my Wi-Fi but then I can also dump you off of it with the app so I can

take you off of it later which I love but again what password do you use because I feel like that's the most judgmental part of this is when they say what's your password well what do you

say i'm with my apple phone sometimes i can actually just share it to them and they don't

see it okay see that's it yeah i'm just asking somebody you just click it and then they get a prompt and there's no no questions asked it's here yeah let's say share share the the password

you're over at their house so technically i have the best wi-fi in my neighborhood so my neighbors actually asked me to connect to mine and so i haven't paid for wi-fi since i don't even remember when because every time somebody asks for it they either pay me or uh like i'd give them the password they ask for the password and the passwords pay me brokey so uh wait jeremy why is it that you

have the best uh wi-fi in your neighborhood and everybody else doesn't can't they just get that

same wi-fi they can we just pay extra for it so instead of them wanting to pay extra we have Multiple people cranking on my Wi-Fi, so it adds up, and then it adds up to the bill, so it works.

What are you doing over there, by the way, Reese? Are you building a house, or what's going on? I was plugging my phone in the charger while eating a lot of popcorn. I thought Reese was moving things over there. I'm like, wow, there's a lot of action going on over there. So going back to the up in your Wi-Fi, you did what I did. I upped mine when we had to start doing our shows, potentially from home, And when I had that surgery, I opted to, like, the business grade Xfinity Wi-Fi. And it's wild when I go to friends' houses and I'll say, hey, can I have your Wi-Fi password? And I'll go on. I'm like, oh, my God, they're – like, I get – you know what I do? I get judgmental. Like, how do you do this? Like, Jeremy, does that ever happen to you? Like, you go somewhere with bad Wi-Fi and you're like, my home has better Wi-Fi than this.

Yeah, exactly. And I don't even know how they made it through quarantine with everything going online. That's why I upped it. because everybody was using it.

In the money situation, it wasn't that much more money.

No, it wasn't. They're already robbing us. I don't know why people don't do it. The price is crazy.

I will pay whatever I want. Like, some people want to drive nice cars. I would rather have good Wi-Fi than, you know?

Hi. I had a story where my neighbor had asked to borrow my internet password, and I gave it to her because I trusted her. And later my internet started slowing down. And so I checked to see who was logged in and there were all of these people I wasn't familiar with. And so later I found out that she'd been selling my internet password to neighbors in an apartment complex.

Oh my gosh.

That's genius.

She had a little side hustle going. I know, it was crazy. I was so insulted.

That's kind of crazy, though, that people, you know, you think about that in an apartment homeless, but somebody would take your password, and then next thing you know, everybody else has now got it and getting their free internet off it.
