All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. Kevin, a little interesting thing here, huh? What's this girl trying to do?

00:01:25 - 00:01:35 | Speaker 4:

You know what I'm saying? Look, I'm not even going to try to make it seem like something it ain't. It's really me. I know I told y'all it was the girl, but I'm the one who said it. Wait, no, come on.

00:01:35 - 00:01:39 | Speaker 5:

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You know what he did, Shannon?

00:01:40 - 00:01:43 | Speaker 6:

Yes. He did the topic of a friend of mine. Yeah, and it's you.

00:01:43 - 00:01:45 | Speaker 4:

It is me. Look, I'm not even.

00:01:45 - 00:01:46 | Speaker 3:

Wait, and this is juicy, too.

00:01:47 - 00:01:47 | Speaker 4:

I'm stepping in the fire.

00:01:47 - 00:01:49 | Speaker 3:

It's the story you told us in the pre-show meeting.

00:01:49 - 00:01:53 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so I didn't notice this lady. Oh, don't call her a lady.

00:01:54 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 3:

What should I say?

00:01:55 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 4:

What do you want to be called? Are you KB's old girls?

00:01:58 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 3:

Lady to me just sounds like Mrs. Doubtfire. That's what I imagine when you say lady. This young woman. Even if you said young lady. No, young lady sounds weird. I'm just telling you.

00:02:11 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 6:

I don't know.

00:02:12 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 3:

Go ahead with your story.

00:02:13 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 4:

This girl. I don't even know what made me hit her up like that for real. We cool, but we not. Super cool. Recently cool. She's a friend? I don't even know if I would call her a friend. Like, I've never been around her on a one-on-one type situation, so I've always been in public, known her for like maybe like a year and a half, like something super fresh, super new. At any rate, though, let me check the DMs because I don't even know how it started. But long story short, I was like, what's good? And she said something like she recently, or she's going through a divorce or just got divorced, so she had to move back in with her parents. and then I'm like oh well you know I just got out of a long relationship too we should be each other's relationship rebound let's go get drinks and like you know talk about all our problems she was like yes we can consummate our drown our sorrows like type vibe and I was like that's interesting I've never actually said the term relationship rebound or have ever known of it like obviously I've heard you could be somebody's rebound or somebody has a rebound and when they get out of a relationship, but to collectively come to a decision that we're going to be each other's relationship rebound. And not have a relationship.

00:03:26 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 3:

Because that's what that says to me. If you're already up front saying, we're going to be each other's rebound, it's like, we're going to hook up, maybe go out a few times, and that's it. Nothing serious. Exactly. And she's down. I love it. Let me see a picture of her. Yeah, she's being clear. She's communicating. You're talking about sex. Why won't you show me a picture? Because I know her. I don't want to do that.

00:03:45 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 4:

I know her. Yep. I don't want to do that. Really?

00:03:48 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 3:

I know her.

00:03:49 - 00:03:49 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:03:50 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 4:

I know who it is. Kevin Irwin. I'm not doing that.

00:03:52 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 3:

No, it's not. Because she's still in a relationship.

00:03:55 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I think I know who it is.

00:03:57 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

I know where you can kind of wish but you can still hear.

00:03:59 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 4:

No. Is it? No, no, no. I wouldn't cross that bridge. I think he's lying. I'm too close to both parties in that situation. Just flash the photo on your phone really quickly. I'm not flashing you anything, Shannon.

00:04:11 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 6:

He's lying.

00:04:12 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I will find out. No, I think he's lying.

00:04:15 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 3:

You think I'm lying?

00:04:16 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You might as well have said it was a friend. yeah man but but yeah i don't i don't know and like zach brought up something earlier about trauma bonding like i've heard that and maybe this does fall into that category but to have somebody who recently got a situation you recently got a situation like all right let's talk about our sorrows and like you know make each other feel good in the process yeah i'm proud of you

00:04:37 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 6:

i am proud proud proud of you why are you proud of me in what way i'm proud of you because you're not going to do it.

00:04:46 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 4:

You don't think so?

00:04:47 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 6:

I don't, I just, no. I'm just trying to see if you're going to do it or not. But I'm proud of you because I'm sure going to do it. We already got a date set. No, no, no.

00:04:53 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 3:

Finish your sentence.

00:04:54 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Your radio, your radio, I don't know, professor here is proud of you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 2:

for going on the air and saying it was you instead of doing the whole friend thing.

00:05:04 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 4:

Okay, I thought you were going to say something different.

00:05:06 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 2:

You know how many times people on this show have done a friend of mine, and it drives me crazy because I'm thinking to myself, the listeners would rather know that it's you that this is the case. And I'm glad that you said that at the very beginning of this deal. Because if you would have said a friend of mine.

00:05:21 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 4:

He wasn't going to say a friend of his in the first place, though. He was going to say it was the girl who said.

00:05:24 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 2:

You also put it all on her.

00:05:26 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but some of us just have hot mess friends.

00:05:30 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 2:

That is true. No, I get it. But can they also, can they be a co-host on this show? Because sometimes I like to hear them in first person.

00:05:38 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 4:

So when are you guys going out?

00:05:40 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 2:

I think we said the 26th, I think, of January.

00:05:44 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah? Yeah, like a Sunday. So I should have something to talk about that Monday.

00:05:48 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 2:

Sunday dates is not a good idea.

00:05:50 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 3:

We both busy, bro. So it's like we got to figure out how we can figure it out. She's busy. You can't do it on a Sunday. You got to be in the media to be busy. I'm just saying.

00:05:58 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 4:

He's like, funky schedule. The Lord. That's the Lord's name. Would you date anybody else in media?

00:06:04 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 5:

I am trying to figure this out. Red flag. You wouldn't date anybody in the media? Absolutely not. We're all psychopaths. Really? I would. Who would you date in media?

00:06:13 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 4:

Well, you can't ask me that question now.

00:06:16 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 5:

Okay. I would. We can't talk about what celebrity we want to sleep with?

00:06:19 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, no, no. I meant like local people. Yeah. I mean, I would date somebody in the media here in town.

00:06:24 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 2:

Is there somebody that you find attractive in the media in this town, Shannon? Yeah, absolutely.

00:06:30 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 4:

We all have terrible hours.

00:06:32 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 2:

Jay Towers? I've always known that.

00:06:33 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 4:

Jay, I love you, Jay.

00:06:34 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

I always knew that there was something there. You got something you'll hear, Megan. Can I get it?

00:06:39 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 4:

Is it Megan Mick?

00:06:41 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 2:

Ooh, maybe that's what it is. Oh, no, she's not the worst, though.

00:06:44 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

00:06:46 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Have you ever gone through, and Kev did, he went through a breakup. you go through a breakup and the person that you rebound with is somebody that is a friend like have you ever had that happen to you like have you ever divorced or broken up and then next thing you know here comes that best friend that person that uh you know was your safe place and now you're inside their safe place or not so safe place on a sunday in january um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 And also the other question that I would like to pose is, do you guys think that this is a bad idea for Kevin to do this? Because when they say that there's, you know, oh, yeah, there's nothing to this. This is it. There's always something to it. Somebody is going to catch the feels.

00:07:38 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 3:

You don't think that there's a world out there where you can have sex with somebody or do whatever and not catch feelings?

00:07:46 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 2:

Do you understand that I have fallen in love with every girl that I've had sex with?

00:07:50 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but that's you.

00:07:51 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 2:

But I think there's a lot of people that are like that.

00:07:54 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 5:

Isn't that just tough? I agree with you, but I also think there's a lot of people that can have casual sex.

00:07:59 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:08:00 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, especially if it's clearly communicated.

00:08:02 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. For sure. I don't know. You're not a casual sex like God. No, I, by the way, once I have sex with you, for some reason, I hold that sacred, I guess. See, I'm the opposite.

00:08:16 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 5:

I hold you sacred until I have sex with you, and then I'm like, ugh. All right.

00:08:21 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 2:

Our phone line's not working because nobody's calling. Anybody out there? Is there anybody out there? Call us up. 844-665-6548. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

00:08:32 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 4:

Don't call until Kev tells us who it is.

00:08:35 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 5:

And not to backtrack, but just to be silly, I was joking about the non-media thing until I remembered one of my old co-hosts dated a news guy. And the fact that they had so many social obligations to go to, ugh, seems terrible. No. I want to sit on my couch. I want to watch Netflix. I tried to hook you up with a media guy.

00:08:52 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

Remember, too, there was always rumors with you and your former morning host.

00:08:58 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I still love him.

00:09:00 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You guys were very close with each other.

00:09:03 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God, no. We murder each other. Is he single? I'll say his name. Yeah, he's single. Go on a date. Absolutely not.

00:09:09 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 4:

Look at the smile on your face. Oh, my God. It's Eric Chase.

00:09:11 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 5:

If you listen to that case, everybody thought Eric Chase and I were dating, and we would truly murder each other. I love him to death.

00:09:18 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 2:

I would kill him. That can make for a great relationship.

00:09:21 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 5:

A great night for a second. He said great ride, which I also kind of agree with.

00:09:25 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Brax. What's up?

00:09:26 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 5:

Shannon Murphy.

00:09:27 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Brax? How are you guys doing this morning? Good. What's happening?

00:09:32 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 1:

So my rebound wasn't my friend. It was actually her friend.

00:09:36 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you dog. You went right to one of her friends just so you could make it worse for her?

00:09:44 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, I mean, she cheated on me with seven people and married one of them. Damn. But didn't you feel

00:09:52 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 4:

dirty after you did that? I feel like I'm not recommending And did she cheat on you?

00:09:58 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

Or was she cheating?

00:10:00 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 6:

with you a little bit sorry cheating on him he said yeah but like he said she got married sounds like well she was cheating with yeah so no she yeah she yeah it was like it was weird so she married the person because they were like childhood best friends and he was in the military so it was one of those things and we were already like an hour away from each other so she got I was away with, like, a lot more than I let her get away with, I guess.

00:10:27 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 7:

Okay. Yeah, she cheated on you with this guy and then got married to him right away, you're saying, right?

00:10:34 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Okay. But, like, from what I understand, like, six other people as well.

00:10:39 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. Man, she needs a few more, and she's got a basketball team. What's going on, Brett?

00:10:46 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 3:

Everything starts out as it's just this, and their feelings always get caught. I agree. So be prepared and just bring a Jimmy hat.

00:10:54 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 8:

Oh, for sure. Look, I ain't raw dogging nothing.

00:10:56 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 7:

Okay, we can move on. Olivia, what's going on, Olivia?

00:11:00 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

First time caller. What's up?

00:11:08 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 8:

What's up?

00:11:08 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 4:

Well, what's up? I definitely think that, you know what? There's people out there that can definitely have casual sex. I think you definitely got to find out who Kevin's talking about, though. You got to find out.

00:11:19 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 8:

Chill. Don't do that. Don't do that.

00:11:21 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 7:

So, Olivia, you say that you can have casual sex and somebody catch feelings at all? I don't believe it. I think one person's going to catch feelings.

00:11:30 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, I said other people can. I'm not like that. I'm honestly like Mojo.

00:11:34 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. See that? We're good people.

00:11:38 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I agree.

00:11:41 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 7:

Zach, what's up, Zach?

00:11:44 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 9:

Hey, good morning, y'all.

00:11:45 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 7:

How we doing? Good morning. Good morning, my man. We're doing good. What's going on?

00:11:49 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 9:

Very good. Hey, so I didn't have, you know, I fell in love with all the girls or whatnot, but I was always that person who made up that fake, like, relationship and fell in love just by looking at the girl. You know, never, not always being in a relationship, but I was like, man, I'm in love with you, and I don't even know your name. I've never even talked to you.

00:12:12 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 7:

You know what? You're a hopeless romantic or you're a stalker. I don't know which one. Kayla, what's going on?

00:12:19 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning, everybody. Good morning. This isn't my first time, but I love you guys. Me too. We love you too. What's up? So I was going through a rough breakup during the time, and at the same time, I'm in a sorority. And so one of my sorority sisters, who's actually my little, she was there for me during the whole time, and I broke up. But all you know is that this connection we had got really strong, and we ended up marrying each other. So, yeah. That's good.

00:12:44 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 8:

Really? One of your sorority girls, your sorority sisters?

00:12:47 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, one of my little, actually. Really?

00:12:50 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 7:

Wait, was the person you broke up with also a woman?

00:12:54 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, she was a woman, yeah. Okay, all right.

00:12:56 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I thought that. Okay, that's cool. That's all right. I like it, though, but you fell into her arms. Yeah. And now you guys are married. Isn't that wonderful, Kevin? Hey, real quick, shout out to Soro.

00:13:11 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 5:

To my sorority, the one I'm married to?

00:13:14 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 8:

Sona? Sona. And the sorority you are. Your sorority. Yeah, what sorority are you?

00:13:18 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 5:

Say the news, I have Multicultural Sorority Incorporated. Say the news.

00:13:22 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 8:

Is there a lot of love in sororities? Like, do a lot of the sisters hook up? God, I hope so.

00:13:28 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 5:

You know, I have heard stories, and this is, like, throughout a lot of sororities. But, yeah, I mean, I would trust it. I would marry her again a thousand times.

00:13:36 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 7:

Why do you think that happens in fraternities, too, Kevin? There's a lot of fraternity loving, too? Probably. For some reason, I think whenever I drive on Michigan State's campus and go buy a sorority house, I think they're all having pillow fights all day. That's all I think they do on there.

00:13:52 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 8:

You think they make you, too?

00:13:53 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 7:

I don't know, maybe.

00:13:54 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 8:

All right.

00:13:55 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 2:
