retail therapy uh this weekend well um we all know i don't like dealing with my problems so i decided what a perfect opportunity but to shop my uh stress and depression away i had just cleared out a few of my closets that sounds uh very rich i live in a house that was built in 1944 and the Closets are 80-bitty.

00:01:54 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 7:

How many square feet again did you tell us until it's on Friday?

00:01:58 - 00:02:05 | Speaker 8:

It's just over 800 square feet. My last apartment was much larger. Not the closet. Not the closet. Oh, no. My house. My house.

00:02:05 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 7:

But that doesn't. You know what you should do, though? You should just plate it off like it's fancy. You don't have to tell the listeners any different. Because that sounded really cool.

00:02:14 - 00:02:20 | Speaker 1:

You know what I think you should do? I think you should kick your brother out and make his room a closet. There you go. A big closet. The plan.

00:02:20 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 8:

When I bought the house, it was not for the immense storage capabilities. It was for the extra bedroom, but I was going to turn into a storage unit.

00:02:29 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 7:

Say that sentence one more time about the closets. Say, I cleaned out my closet.

00:02:35 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 8:

All of my closets. So many.

00:02:40 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 7:

Actually, she's so rich, her people cleaned out her closets. That's it.

00:02:45 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 8:

That is it. That is it. Well, I genuinely was like, OK, well, let's do some retail therapy. Let's destroy all the progress that I had made decluttering the house. And one of my favorite, favorite, favorite companies was having this huge clearance this weekend. And so I got so much stuff and most of it was non-refundable. I got very excited and I went to show my girlfriends like a screen grab of everything that I bought. And I realized, 75% of the clothes that I bought are in the wrong size. No. Yes. No, wait. No. Of the non-refundable items. Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes. So did I just make my depression, stress, and anxiety way worse? Yes, I did. I didn't have the money for this, and I did it anyways. And now it's useless.

00:03:33 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 7:

But.

00:03:33 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 8:

Oh. Pashmark.

00:03:34 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 7:

How long did you have that good feeling?

00:03:38 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 8:

For, like, maybe 45 minutes before I told my girlfriends. Because we're on a group chat where she always tells us when she follows this page online. It's amazing. It tells you when apps are glitching. And so she got 48 Yankee candles this weekend for $54. Oh, it's amazing. Wow. So she started texting me and she was like, look at what I got. And I was like, look at what I got. And then I got very stressed out realizing that I had made a horrible, horrible, horrible mistake because this company is English, not American. And I bought my size in a company that does not do the same size as us.

00:04:15 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yes.

00:04:17 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 8:

That's what I did.

00:04:20 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 7:

It's funny that you mentioned this because I had a little retail therapy about, I don't know, like 60 days ago or so. I was so excited over the fact that I could fit into 2Xs comfortably again, having lost a little bit of weight with IDLU. And I bought a 2X. I should bring it in. It's a kid's 2X. No. Oh, I didn't even know that was a thing. See, I don't think that it is. Aren't kids' clothes supposed to be like 1T, 2T, 4Ts, something like that?

00:04:48 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 1:

No. Once they're past the baby stage, they're actually small, medium, large.

00:04:53 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

We need to change this around. But it was because it's funny because I open up the bed. It was like this really cool

00:05:00 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 8:

like champion sweatshirt thing and it had like some design on it that i've never seen before well i guess what the reason i've never seen it before because it's in the kids section if you still have that i might finish 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 how did retail therapy go bad like what did it turn bad retail therapy

00:05:24 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 5:

is truly it's legit my therapist karen shout out to karen said it is like you're not supposed to do it all the time but you do get the dopamine or whatever it is like it does make you feel better as long as you keep it you know within your budget well here's where it really backfired

00:05:40 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 6:

here's the truth that i didn't want to say was i cleared out my closet of all the clothes that don't fit that i wanted to fit and it was hard to let go of some stuff it was a big reality check of babe you gotta get rid of it it's not it's not gonna happen do you sell on poshmark make money

00:05:54 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 5:

then you feel good then it's like a full circle i don't feel like i have anything worth selling

00:05:58 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 7:

oh people will buy anything okay all right well then to have this completely backfire was like

00:06:04 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 6:

buy the clothes that fit feel good about yourself pay all this money oh none of these are gonna fit

00:06:09 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 3:

jody what's up you want to say something megan well one thing is megan you just got a bunch of Your clothes you could sell and make money off of.

00:06:17 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, that's what these guys were saying. Megan doesn't believe that her taste people would buy, but yes, they will buy everything.

00:06:26 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 3:

Yes. And she has good taste. Also, maybe you could reach out to the company before they ship it and let them know what happens, and maybe they can make some adjustments.

00:06:36 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 8:

Is the company reachable? Because sometimes you order the stuff and it's like a company that you have to call like 20 continents.

00:06:45 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 6:

Now I've got to see if it's shipped.

00:06:47 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 8:

Steven?

00:06:49 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's up?

00:06:50 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 8:

What's going on? How are you, everyone? Good morning. Say hi to Megan.

00:06:52 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 4:

I wanted to talk to Megan. I wanted to see where we should get all them Yankee candles from. I'll try to get a hold of them. Right?

00:06:59 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 5:

What is the app people are asking for the app?

00:07:03 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 6:

That I bought from?

00:07:04 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 7:

No, the one that tells you all the glitching apps.

00:07:05 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 6:

Oh, hold on. Let me find it.

00:07:09 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 7:

I'm down.

00:07:11 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 6:

Oh, hell yeah.

00:07:13 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 7:

I stopped listening after that. I was wondering where do I get those candles at?

00:07:16 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 8:

Steven, how many candles do you have in your place?

00:07:19 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God, so many. I got little ones, big ones, small ones.

00:07:24 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 8:

You look like a cathedral church at your house, don't you?

00:07:28 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

That's how much my girl loves them candles, the Yankee candles. Every time she goes to bed, bath and bed, body, yarn, or whatever. That's it.

00:07:36 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 7:

That's right.

00:07:37 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 4:

That's it.

00:07:37 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 8:

That's right. She gets them.

00:07:40 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 4:

She's always grabbing candles. She's always looking for good deals, too. She always comes from shopping.

00:07:43 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 8:

What's your favorite scent that you have of a candle?

00:07:50 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 4:

It's the Mimosa. I think it's the Mimosa.

00:07:54 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 8:

They have a Mimosa scent. Wow, that's awesome. All right, thank you, buddy. I appreciate it. Thank you. Bye, Steven.
