00:00:30 - 00:01:09 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to be literally going home and just going to the longest nap of my life. Not because of a long week, but because of a short morning with a lot of food that has just been brought in the studio. So we just had the vintage house corned beef. And then neighbors of ours, is it Saad Meat Market? Is that what it's called? Saad Wholesale Meats, yeah. Saad Wholesale Meats. Give them the ding, please. Ding. Saad Wholesale Meats and Muhammad and Chris, is that right? Correct. Am I right? Muhammad and Chris are neighbors. They're just down the street from us. They are longtime listeners, first time in studios.

00:01:09 - 00:01:12 | Speaker 5:

Muhammad and Chris in the studio. Longtime dream.

00:01:13 - 00:01:22 | Speaker 4:

And you guys, so I come there, I can walk into the back, and I can pick out some meat, and you guys wrap it up for me or even cook it for me, right?

00:01:22 - 00:01:24 | Speaker 5:

We don't do cooking. No cooking in it? We don't cook it.

00:01:24 - 00:01:36 | Speaker 4:

Can I come to your house and have it cooked or no? I would think that the guys who are butchers and cutting up the meat and stuff like that, you know how to cook this stuff too, right? Because it's your baby, right? You don't want anybody screwing up your baby.

00:01:36 - 00:01:40 | Speaker 5:

You've got to have two of these guys that work for me, man. You eat their barbecue.

00:01:40 - 00:01:41 | Speaker 4:

Is it so good?

00:01:41 - 00:01:43 | Speaker 5:

You'll never have barbecue anywhere else again.

00:01:43 - 00:01:46 | Speaker 4:

I love it. So what kind of meats are we talking about?

00:01:46 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 5:

We do halal meats. We do beef, chicken, lamb, goat, seafood, veal. Wow. We do it all. It's Rocky style. You walk into a 30-degree cooler, so make sure you dress warm. The animals are hanging right in front of you. You pick your cut. You tell us how you want it done. We do it right there on the spot for you.

00:02:02 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 4:

You know what you need to do? I'm going to blindfold her and tell her I'm taking her to a jewelry store. Our producer, Lydia, every time that these trucks drive by with the cattle and stuff on them, because it's Eastern Market, for those that don't know, it's obviously where food is being prepared. So every time that that truck goes by and I go, moo, moo, we're going to take her into the back, we'll open up the blindfold and have her be in your cooler.

00:02:27 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 1:

How do you guys not get sad by seeing those animals come off the truck and then they're dangling in the warehouse?

00:02:33 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 4:

I don't get sad when those animals are in my belly. Do you get sad when you see those animals? You don't get sad, right? No, we don't get sad. You don't name them. Just as long as they don't tell you the name of the animal, right? That's it.

00:02:44 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 5:

You can't name them. That's what you can't do.

00:02:46 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 4:

And they brought in, they have, you guys, they're very famous for these beef sticks that you have. And these turkey sticks are big ones, too, right?

00:02:54 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 5:

Shannon and I eat beef sticks every day. They sell, people love them. They love to eat them. It's a quick snack. I mean, I can't keep them in stock sometimes.

00:03:03 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 4:

I love it. And Chris, what is the name of it again? It's Sod, what is it?

00:03:07 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 2:

Sod Wholesale Meats.

00:03:08 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 4:

Sod Wholesale Meats. I'd like to buy, I need lamb for my Easter dinner. There you go. Can I have like that?

00:03:15 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 5:

No, you know where to go. Put it right on there. Straight in the fridge.

00:03:19 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 4:

That's not a lamb, is it? Sure.

00:03:21 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 5:

That's a sheep goat. That's a sheep goat, yeah. They probably got that too.

00:03:26 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 4:

That's wild.

00:03:26 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 5:

We do.

00:03:28 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 4:

All right, we're going to have to come down and visit you guys. We appreciate you guys so much for coming by. I want a tour. Let's get a tour. Tell Jay that we're going to do a tour some morning.
