So yesterday I grabbed lunch with, I won't say his name because the situation was weird, but I grabbed lunch at my favorite, Steve's Deli. I love going to that place. That's kind of like my go-to. But grabbed lunch with a guy who, he is broken up. He was not married, but he was broken up with a girl that he dated for some time. And we're eating and we're actually talking about the breakup because I had not seen him since their split. And we're talking and we're talking and talking, and he goes, oh, my God. I go, what? She's over there.

Oh, no.

And let me just say this to you how funny it was. I thought he was joking, so I go, oh, you're so full of crap. And I kept talking and kept saying something. He's like, shh, and keep it down. She was with a guy, and we can only imagine that, because she also does, like, sales. She does like medical sales. And so she was with a guy. We thought it was a date or possibly a business thing. And I guess she recognized him earlier because at the end of the date, he actually went up and said something to her. And she could have heard our entire conversation that we were having with each other because she was as close as we all are right now. The only thing is it's kind of a little bit loud. so you never know if people can hear you or not. But I always believe that people have the x-ray ears.

Yeah, they can hear what you don't want them to hear.

Right, especially when you just recently went through a breakup and you noticed that you're... Significant other, your former significant other is there. It was so funny. He was smiling, and then he started waving at her. Made it kind of uncomfortable. And they have a decent relationship now, like a post-date relationship. But I thought about this when it happened. What was the awkward run-in that you had with the ex? Have you ever seen the ex in an awkward place after you guys broke up with each other or, you know, got divorced or split up or whatever it is? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Where did it take place? Because I know of times where people will actually split up and they will all go to the same places all the time. Like that was one of their favorite places to eat. So they would go there and eat. or they shop at the same, you know, Meijer or Kroger or whatever grocery store you go to, and then they run into each other at the grocery store. And I always say that with splits or divorces, there has to be a custody battle with their favorite places. Like, you're not allowed to ever go to this place ever again, and I'll get to, you know, you keep this, I keep this, kind of like split that whole thing up. It was so funny. It was really, really funny. And I know that there are situations where you don't necessarily want to see an ex, but I think that there are situations where you definitely want to see an ex. Like, I want them to see me living my best life.

Yeah, like if you're all dressed up and looking happy or whatever, you want to run into him.

Well, first off, it's funny because he was looking good yesterday because he had some big meeting that was going on in the afternoon. So he was all dressed up.

So he was happy about it.

yeah the mine is i moved away out of state uh from my divorce after that i took a job out of state came back started a new job back in here in ohio and there she was on day shift at your

the same breaks if you guys if you guys work when you guys did have the same time with each other Did you guys ever take breaks at the same time?

In the apartment complex deck. Because when we broke up, he moved out of our apartment into the building right in front of mine.

The dummy moved. Yeah, he moved out. oh my god who's prettier yeah uh no i didn't do that actually my friends were trying to compare and i was like no i feel bad for her she doesn't know what it's like to date him for that long

meeting with the ex so i was we broke up because we were high school sweethearts and i was coming out of i think it was like rue 21 at the time or something and he was with his new baby mama we were together for three years and he broke up with me he pretty much ghosted me before ghosting was even a thing i ran into him and his new baby mama at the mall two months after we broke up yeah

at the mall man now when you ran into them because i was saying this like my buddy he was looking good yesterday were you looking good when you ran into them outside of rue 21 oh probably not

honestly my friend called me and she was like hey like let's go to the mall to kind of like if you have a house like you guys just broke up like whatever and i literally dipped into like a yeah i dipped into a candle store so fast and we got because we made eye contact and everything

Oh, geez. You know how they always say that you will run into people that you know at a couple of places, weddings and funerals? Well, I've got both of those calls coming up here right now. First, Zach, where did you run into your ex?

I ran into her at a friend's funeral. I didn't even think she was close to him, actually. But, no, he died about a year ago, and I was real close with him. and he, you know, I had showed up to his showing and it hit me so bad I had to leave and I had kind of ran into her on my way walking out.

Oh, man. You know, maybe she showed up because she knew you would be there.

Yeah, did you think about that? Possibly, yeah. Yeah. No, but possibly, yes.

so this was a long time ago because i've been married now for almost 25 years and i dated a guy in my late teens and we dated for a couple years and on my wedding day he we were coming out of the church and in this church it had these really cool stairs in the front so we were all posing for pictures in the stair on the stairs and i look across the street and he is sitting in his pickup truck across the road watching us get our pictures done.

Oh, my God. That's really creepy. And I

showed my husband. I was like, oh, my God, can you see him over there? He's sitting over there just watching us. And I think once he realized that we noticed him, that's when he left. But how weird is that? I would be so freaked out. Yeah, that's... Like I said, it'll be 25 years that we've been married this fall, And I still remember that. And I'm like, wow, you are a freak show.

I was kind of bummed I wasn't on a date for sure, but it was pretty funny to laugh with my sister about it for sure
