All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. we do have to mention this, that one of our favorite people in the entire world is retiring from our radio station. And it's kind of an interesting thing because she's retiring, but she's not retiring. I have no idea how you can get away with this, but she got away with it. Susan Schramm, who is one of the people that works behind the scenes, scheduling all of our client commercials and stuff that we do on our stations uh she has been with the radio station for gosh i don't know 12 so years but has been in radio for a long time she used to work at wjr back in the day i mean she's like the best of the best but we want to wish susan nothing but the best in your non-retirement because listen to what she's doing she's retiring from radio but she's then coming back to work part-time for us she's making her own rules and making her own hours i'm like how did you do that thing i mean i actually tried yesterday during her party to pull a uh a can i just do weekends like can i be on saturdays and sundays sleep in during the week

or something like that a solo trip before she comes by do you know that and she's going like to a a very nice place she was asking me about parish when at paris is one of the places i just love that from her that that's what she's doing to kind of celebrate she's a sweetheart she's

I couldn't get into your party to send good wishes. And I sent her a little picture of me all by myself in the party. Like it won't let me chat with you. well now i realize why yesterday when mojo said hey are you going to be at susan's party today or you're going off to your doctor's appointment i said what do you mean i i didn't realize they moved the the meeting twice i didn't see any other emails or anything so i was all by myself in there and i was telling her i i tried to wish you well but you didn't have a party well i didn't realize the party had changed and it was yesterday so i missed her party twice and uh my god completely didn't know it was rescheduled and so i felt stupid and then i thought thank god it wasn't

a surprise because i would have totally ruined that surprise did she like uh did she realize

though that you kind of messed up like that or she saw it and she thought i was being silly and trying to like scam her on facebook like so i should have played it off and said yeah i was just being silly instead of no i'm stupid didn't realize party was moved how long were you in 20 minutes i sat in that in that microsoft teams waiting for everybody else to join and then you can see everybody's names on the side so i thought

this is going on without me. For some reason, it's not letting me in the room. Maybe there's a moderator.

By the way, why are we still doing Teams meetings for parties? Come on. Either you can be here or you can't. No.

I think it's honestly, Shannon, I think it's just how our invitation system that we have now. Okay.

Because I'm like, what? That is so weird. We're all in the office. It's confusing.

I found out it was changed like two or three times. Like they were going to do a Teams meeting with her. and she said really I want to see everybody's faces one last time I'm retiring from the building and and the bosses were like you're right you should we should have it in person to celebrate so they moved it and they were going to have it across the street at Tabooli yeah and then that got changed again and then they said let's just have it in the office so the most people are here well I didn't know I guess I wasn't a part of that or I didn't even see all those emails I got to go back and check but i only got the first email and so i was in the teams like we meet for

meetings in person and so that's when i got when i got the zoom invite or the teams invite whatever

i was like what are we doing this well they still do the teams meetings for all the meetings they still do it for people that don't want to come in and so sometimes i see the link and i think it's a teams meeting and then i walk out in the hall and everybody's out in the meeting like oh this

is important oh i'm right here i could be in the meeting everybody's texting you can just blame it on your concussion.

I wish I could, but this happened Wednesday a week ago.

Can I tell you how awesome Colleen, our boss, was? Both you guys, I had to miss the party, so KP and Lydia and myself were there.

I was there for a few minutes, but yeah.

Did you see what she gave her?

Oh, my God. At the end, first off, we all went around the room and talked about her, and Susan, it's funny. And she sits there. Whenever you're talking about somebody to them, you're like going, is this like my funeral? Or what is this? Right. But she's kind of looked so awkward at the point. But she was shocked that people were doing this. Then Colleen, who's like the greatest boss in the world, comes out and said, here's the gifts. And she gave her a bunch of gifts, including two round-trip tickets to fly anywhere she wants to. No way. On Delta Airlines.

Oh, that's amazing. Oh, my gosh. That's awesome.

So Susan and I are going to Paris together. Chelsea said she's fine with it. That is an incredible gift. Isn't that amazing?

What if she came back in a month and was like, just kidding, I'm full-time still.

Well, that's the thing. She got that, yet she's still working here. Yeah. Like, she's still working with us.

I'd like to also, like you said, let's all say we're going to work less.

I won't ask you for very much. I did chat with Susan yesterday because she's always been my Wolverine buddy that will talk after Michigan games. And she's a big fan, too. And we'll just sit there and talk about that stuff. And I was like, who am I going to talk with now? And she's like, what you just said. She goes, I'm not dying. I'm just I'm still going to be here. You know, like you could still talk to me. Oh, yeah, I guess so.

I think that sometimes people and maybe even some of the newer members of the show don't even realize like what some people do. But her job is honestly more important than even our job. like it's so essential because without her we don't have money to turn the lights on in this building so she does such an essential job and sometimes i sit there and in wonder i actually had a general manager years ago that i worked for that you know how some people got like get really nice offices because they're like executives and some people get you know cubicles because they're us you know she gave the big offices and the nice offices to the people like Susan because to her she said those are the people that are even more essential than her because if Susan doesn't get the job done right then we don't make any money and I thought that was like one of the coolest things ever so it's like you'd walk into the the radio station you see this big executive office and it would be like the person that was like the receptionist you know or something like that there but you're the first line of defense so congratulations uh sujan sujan shram i'll be
