It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

00:01:33 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 4:

Why are you not getting a call back? We're going to find out this morning. Lainey on with us this morning, not getting a call back. So tell us, how long have you guys been talking to each other, Lainey?

00:01:46 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 6:

We haven't really been talking to each other too long. We matched on Tinder. and I honestly just thought that we were just hooking up.

00:01:57 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay.

00:01:58 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 6:

You know what I mean?

00:01:59 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:02:00 - 00:02:04 | Speaker 6:

But then when he came over, like, I actually really liked him.

00:02:05 - 00:02:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh.

00:02:07 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, like, he brought me food.

00:02:09 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 4:

Oh, well, it doesn't take very much, but, yeah.

00:02:13 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 6:

No, that's my love language, you know? So, like, when he came over, he brought food, And I just, I was just so surprised because I literally thought we were just hooking up.

00:02:23 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 4:

Wow.

00:02:25 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you know, but.

00:02:28 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 4:

All right. So here's the story. You thought he was just a hookup, but then you thought it was a relationship and now he's not calling you back. What's the situation? We're going to find out. Second date update. Jared is on the phone with us. Jared, are you okay with being on the radio with us?

00:02:44 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah.

00:02:46 - 00:02:46 | Unknown:

Sure.

00:02:47 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 4:

Jared, I want you to say hello to Lainey.

00:02:51 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up?

00:02:53 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Jared.

00:02:57 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 4:

Jared, I don't know if you could hear Lainey speaking before I picked up the phone with you, but she's kind of feeling a little hurt that you're not talking to her. What's going on? Why are you not getting back to her or calling her or texting her?

00:03:12 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 5:

I don't have her number. Well, there you go.

00:03:17 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God.

00:03:19 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 5:

I, like, tried messaging you on Tinder, but I couldn't find you. You weren't there, so I figured you had, like, you weren't into it.

00:03:27 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I deleted Tinder after our date.

00:03:31 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, well, there you go. There's a misunderstanding.

00:03:33 - 00:03:39 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. I totally forgot that I didn't give you my number and that I just had yours. That is hysterical.

00:03:40 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 4:

Then where's what we're going to do? because our producers tracked down Jared and were able to get a hold of him. But we're going to share Lainey's number with you, Jared, so that you guys can get in contact with each other.

00:03:53 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, no, that's cool. But I don't know. I actually don't think this is really such a good idea anymore.

00:04:01 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 6:

Wait, why?

00:04:05 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 5:

Nothing. It's just that I was only going to be in Michigan for a couple months, and now I'm actually leaving earlier than I expected to. So to me, there's not really any point because I'm going to be taking off soon.

00:04:18 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, go. So you're leaving the state?

00:04:23 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah. I was only supposed to be here temporarily for a job and I got moved back early.

00:04:30 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 1:

So why are you going out on dates if you knew you were leaving?

00:04:34 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 5:

Well, it wasn't a date. Like we were just going to hook up. That's all we talked about. we like had a good time and we were going to hook up and yeah i definitely liked her we had a good time but um then i was like i did try and reach out because i was like you know i'm here a few more weeks um we can have some fun but now i'm you know sort of getting ready to leave so so

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

you're you're moving going out of stage but yet still on tinder

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 3:

looking at relationships?

00:05:00 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. I wouldn't say relationships. And, like, also you never know nowadays. But definitely not relationships. I just thought we had something special.

00:05:12 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 7:

Really? You know, I just thought it was a team.

00:05:15 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 6:

Was he clear that he was not looking for a relationship?

00:05:20 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 7:

You know, I've got to give it to him. Like, he was clear. You know, like I said. And it was just supposed to be a hookup. I just, maybe, maybe that's my fault. You know, I just, I just felt something special. You know, I just, I guess I just caught the feels. I don't usually do that. So that's my bad.

00:05:44 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 3:

That's my bad. This though happens a lot. And I know you said Tinder, but this happens even on Hinge and Bumble too. And I remember back when Ellen was our producer, I remember she would tell stories a lot about of times that you just go out with guys and you're going out with the expectation that you're trying to meet somebody that's going to be either a friend or a boyfriend or somebody like that and there's a lot of guys that will just go out for just a hookup not telling the girls ahead of time what their plans are did you guys have any discussion at all about like him and what he was doing and where he's living and where he was gonna live we did we did we'd had the conversation like i said um but did he say that he was moving out of of state that he was leaving michigan yeah i

00:06:30 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 7:

just it's gonna sound silly um okay i just really thought that since it was supposed to be you know for longer than obviously it is now um i honestly just thought i don't know what i

00:06:44 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 1:

i don't know what question um i've never um i've never used like a dating app but my familiarity with tinder is that it is just for hooking up with people is it like i don't think i mean they're married now but like what's her intention to like find somebody to date or just

00:07:03 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 6:

like find somebody to smash real quick so when you're on these sites it's pretty clear like people are very upfront about what they're looking for yeah and honestly this this this

00:07:15 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 7:

It doesn't usually happen to me. Usually, you know, like when we say it's just a hookup, like I said, like it's just a hookup. You know, I just, I don't know. I just.

00:07:26 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

But you just got into him. What's going on, Jordan? How are you? Jordan?

00:07:31 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 5:

So I feel bad for both of them because it sounds like if this guy wouldn't have moved, he probably would have been wanting to do a relationship, too.

00:07:42 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 3:

so is that wait is that the case you think he's lying come on bro that's just the lie he sounded

00:07:48 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 1:

so real off the legitimately moving no i don't think so he said well sorry bro but i feel like the moment he came on he's like oh we had such a great time i just didn't have your number then all of a sudden he's like oh we'll get your number he's like oh but now i'm moving You're right. It was like the story was being created as he was talking.

00:08:13 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 3:

Jordan, when Kev does have it right, when he's calling it out, maybe this is just an excuse?

00:08:22 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I'm just trying to, I mean, we always dump on the guy,

00:08:26 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 2:

so I was trying to get a little help. Jared, is this just an excuse?

00:08:32 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 4:

No, no, definitely not. No, like, I'm definitely leaving. Like, like I said, I think that...

00:08:37 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 2:

Wait, where are you leaving?

00:08:41 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 4:

I'm going back. I'm from Virginia, so I'm going back there.

00:08:44 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. Yeah?

00:08:47 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 4:

I just, like, I think we had a good time. I definitely would have hung out with her again. I don't know if there was, like, just deep love connection, so...

00:08:54 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 7:

I feel like he's being very fair. I'm just meaning, like, there was just something there more than just, like, you came over so that, you know, we could hook up. Like, I just felt more than that. I don't mean like you're my soulmate or oh my goodness I'm gonna marry this guy you know like I just felt like there was more there than just like the one time you know hook up. Michelle

00:09:16 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 6:

wants to comment what's up Michelle? Hey y'all um so I just wanted to say that I also met someone on a dating app and uh fell for them really hard really quick uh and then got ghosted but my point of this is, is that whenever I heard her say that she caught feelings once he brought her food, I was just like, wait, that was the turning point? Like, the foods are so low at this point. He brought you food, and your whole heart just ignited. Michelle!

00:09:48 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 3:

That's true, though. I feel

00:09:51 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 6:

attacked, and this is even about me.

00:09:54 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 3:

Randy, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. Second date update.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo. Hey, Mojo. How's it going? Good, buddy.

00:10:00 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 4:

Um, he just used the app for its entire purpose. I mean, everybody knows since the dawn of the, uh, the Tinder era. Since the dawn of time. That's what it's used.

00:10:12 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It's basically just a smack ugly. So that's what it is, right?

00:10:17 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 4:

That, that is. Yeah. And they did it.

00:10:20 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 1:

I do think it's still funny, though, that you just never exchanged your information. I know. Honestly. But, if you're on the app, yeah. If you're on the app and you're talking that way, if he's treating this like a hookup situation, which he was, I wouldn't give my number out either. You want to meet up again?

00:10:38 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 4:

You'll give your vagina, but you won't give your phone number. That's amazing. This is the home of the dirty on the 30. A throwback throwdown. Second date update. And more of the roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:10:49 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 2:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:11:41 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 3:

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center. But it's still a place you can go meet new people. Classmates, please in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be the thing you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State, with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.

00:12:27 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 4:
