It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

00:01:48 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 4:

All right, we're going to find out exactly why you're not getting a call back after you went on a date. It's the second date update right now. James, thank you for getting in contact with us. You can do what James did. Text DATE to 95500 if you want to get on Second Date Update. So, James, you're getting ghosted. How many times have you guys been out? We went out a couple of times, three times. Okay, so you guys have been out three times. You guys have known each other for a little bit. But after the last time, that's when everything kind of went. And what do you think is going on?

00:02:26 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 6:

I honestly don't know. I think everything was going pretty good. I have no idea why she's close to me.

00:02:36 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 4:

All right, we're going to find out what's going on. On the phone with us is Mackenzie. She was cool enough to pick up our calls. Mackenzie, it's Mojo in the morning. Will you say hello to James?

00:02:49 - 00:02:50 | Speaker 7:

Oh, hello.

00:02:52 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Mackenzie James was just wondering how things are going You guys have Gone out a couple of times But the last time Seemed like there's something that might have gone on That has made you just say I'm not interested anymore Are you still interested?

00:03:13 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 7:

I don't think so No

00:03:14 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 4:

Why is that? If you don't mind

00:03:18 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 7:

I don't know I just I guess I just don't think he's experienced enough like he's nice he just it just doesn't seem

00:03:27 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 1:

like he's had many girlfriends or anything that could be a really great thing though then you don't have to undo all of the you know emotional junk that he's bringing into this relationship

00:03:40 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 7:

from other ones I mean I guess you know to an extent like sure that could be true but just like not in this case it just seems like he's like really eager to jump in a relationship with me and i just i mean i don't think i'm attracted to like you know jerks but like i like a little bit more of like you know a give and take and a push and pull like a bit of a chase like both ways

00:04:02 - 00:04:06 | Speaker 4:

yeah you want somebody that's more experienced is what you're saying

00:04:06 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 7:

Yeah James

00:04:13 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 4:

You haven't been in many relationships James I have not

00:04:19 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 6:

But isn't that a good thing

00:04:21 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 7:

I don't know I guess there's something you probably don't want me to say But that's probably a big deal for me as well

00:04:32 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 6:

What is it Yeah what's that

00:04:36 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 7:

okay well um he's a he's a virgin which you know also is not the end of the world but he says that he's waiting for marriage and i just i kind of just feel like we're too old for that you know like if we were in our early 20s i'm like okay but he's 30 and i'm pushing it so

00:04:57 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

well i don't understand why

00:05:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

that's a problem.

00:05:02 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 4:

That's a big thing in relationships. I mean, it is at least for me.

00:05:11 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I just believe in saving myself. I want it to be right. The first person I'm with, I want it to be the right person. I kind of thought that might be you.

00:05:24 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 4:

I don't think it is.

00:05:25 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry. Is it bad to be a virgin is it bad to be a guy that's a virgin i like i i feel like maybe there's a a little bit of a double standard here if the girl was a virgin would you not want that because i this is interesting you know uh we talked not that long ago about how it seems like more and more people are holding their virginity longer but i don't know is that a bad thing is it a bad thing that

00:05:48 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 3:

he hasn't dated a lot of people i don't think it's a a bad thing but personally when i used to um be involved in those kinds of communities it felt like people would try to rush into relationships faster than they should have so that they could get married and then correct and for me that's the only problem here not that you want to save yourself for marriage that's your choice uh all for it and i don't think it's a problem that mckenzie has a problem with it and is not interested in that because that's her choice but i do understand the whole like even And what James just said to Mackenzie was very like, but I could see us having that kind of relationship already. Well, you haven't seen each other very much for you to be so bold in that. Because if you're saying you're waiting till marriage and you could see that with her, you're saying I could see me marrying you and we've only had a few dates. Or one date. I'm sorry. How many dates have we been on?

00:06:42 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 2:

Three.

00:06:44 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 3:

That's, for me, that's heavy.

00:06:49 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 2:

You know, you know. I just really enjoyed spending time with her, and I thought we were hitting it off. I'm surprised by the whole thing.

00:07:00 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 1:

Let me see what listeners think about this. I'd love to know what some of our female listeners think about a guy who's, how old are you, 30? 30 years old, never dated a lot, a virgin. Your thoughts on this one. Is this something that you would maybe not want to be with, or would you want to be with? Chelsea wants to make a comment. Real quick, Chelsea, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. What do you think?

00:07:26 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 4:

Hi, guys. So, okay, I have two really important points. In the beginning, she said, oh, I like a little bit of give and take, push and pull. That push and pull just set off all my red flags. She likes games. She wants to be in somebody who's seasoned in a relationship because she wants to play games and she likes to argue. I guarantee you she's that type of person. And she wants to be with someone that she can have a relationship with all kinds of drama and nonsense. And he's a nice guy and he's not, you know, quite. And honestly, he dodged a bullet. And this is probably a very big teaching moment for him. He could learn a lot about this because I'm kind of finding a lot of girls are like this. Me personally, no, I would not want to take someone's virginity. But that's just my personal preference. It's not anything against him, and that doesn't mean that it's not okay that he's a virgin. However, if she's that turned off by it, then it's probably a good thing because he probably just avoided a few STD tests.

00:08:30 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow. Wait, why would you not want to?

00:08:35 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 4:

She's so grossed out by it.

00:08:36 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:08:38 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, but you know what? I don't know why. Because it takes one to know one, and I used to be one. Clocky.

00:08:43 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 1:

Wait, wait, real quick. Like, why would you not want to take, or why would you not want to be with a virgin? You think it'd be not?

00:08:49 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 4:

Like I said, personally, me, back in the day before I got married and had my kids, I used to run those streets. And I know, remember I said it takes one to know one? I used to be one, so I see them coming a mile away. And if she's that turned off by it and doesn't want to do it, then she's probably feeling bad because she's had all this experience with other dudes, a lot of other dudes. And doesn't want to do that to him.

00:09:16 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm not going to, we're not going to like.

00:09:17 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 4:

We cannot throw that.

00:09:18 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we don't know that. She's talking about this. Thank you, Chella.

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 4:

I'm just calling it like I hear it.

00:09:23 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

Just saying. That's your story. Jessica, let's move to your story. Jessica, your thoughts on this one here. We've got James who is hoping that he would get more dates with Mackenzie, call a relationship, his first maybe a big relationship, and possibly even a loss of virginity. He's a virgin. Your thoughts on this? Hi, Jess. Jessica? Oh, hi, Mojo. In the morning. How are you guys? What up, Jessica? We're doing okay, Jessica. It's been a fun show. What's going on?

00:09:53 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 4:

First time, long time. Hey, there. Jessica's on the phone.

00:10:00 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 7:

So my husband was a virgin when I met him. And that's her loss because I think it's great. You can train them how you want to be pleased in the bedroom.

00:10:13 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. There's something hot about that whole line.

00:10:19 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 7:

There's nothing wrong with that.

00:10:20 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 5:

But what if you don't want to be the teacher? What if you want to be, you know, just able to just enjoy yourself? which just sounds to me like Mackenzie's kind of like I don't want to have to do that much work

00:10:33 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 7:

oh well I don't know that's her problem I like to teach so it's fine with me I want to be pleased the way I want to be pleased so I have to teach him

00:10:45 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 5:

see that there's upside to being with a virgin Amy your thoughts on this one Amy it's Mojo in the Morning second date update hi hey there hey there Amy

00:10:55 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 8:

hi sorry I was just saying that, you know, when you date a virgin, they're a lot more, like, they get attached a lot quicker. Also, they're not as experienced in the bedroom. So if you're not wanting to, like the last caller just said, if you're not wanting to be the one to teach him all those things and you want him to know what he's doing and be, you know, a little bit more after it in the bedroom.

00:11:17 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 5:

So you agree that dating a virgin is not, there's no upside.

00:11:21 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 8:

It's totally okay for her to feel that way.

00:11:22 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Yeah. All right. I like that. Sticking up for her a little bit. You've done this. It's from experience.

00:11:27 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. My daughter's dad was 21 when I met him, and a virgin, and it was messy. How old were you? The whole thing. A lot of drama. How old were you when he was 21? I was 18.

00:11:43 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so you were young, but you had lost your virginity before you did.

00:11:47 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, maybe he's different, because he's a virgin. We'll try it. We'll give it a shot. And yeah, it just went downhill from there. Did you feel like you were hurting him?

00:11:58 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 5:

Did he cry at all? Like, I cried when I lost my virginity, to be honest with you. Like, tears of joy? Not in front of the girl.

00:12:04 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 8:

No, but it was awkward, and it came with those first-time weirdness that comes with that. And, again, like, I didn't want to have to teach him all those things. Like, I wanted him to be able to, you know, show me a few things, you know?

00:12:15 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 3:

But I feel like nobody is, like, I want to stick up for James because I feel like we're all so focused on the sex part of it. And I think that it sounds to me, and please correct me if I'm wrong, James, like this is more of an importance for you. And I don't know if it's a religious thing or what that is, but I think you need to find somebody that shares that same, that same mindset and that same want for like a foundation and the importance of saving yourself for marriage. And Mackenzie, she's not your person.

00:12:47 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 5:

And actually, that's what Megan on line two said exactly that same thing. Megan is going exactly the same way you are with us, Shannon. What's up, Megan?

00:12:59 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 6:

Hey, well, Joe, how's it going?

00:13:00 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 5:

Good, what's going on? Say hi to James. Poor guy.

00:13:03 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 6:

Hi, James. Been listening to your guys' show for 25 years since I was in a high school senior, so thanks, guys.

00:13:09 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 5:

I love it.

00:13:10 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 6:

I wanted to say, you know, a lot more people should be on James' side because situation reversed. Girls would be like, well, guys have to give me a chance. Give me a chance. I was with a guy that was experienced. I was with a guy that was virgin. The guy that I was with that was experienced, I laughed the entire time. The virgin, I married.

00:13:27 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 5:

All right.

00:13:28 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 6:

And it doesn't matter if they're a virgin or not. They might have a lot more to offer.

00:13:33 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and you know what, James? You're going to find your match. Your match, unfortunately, for you, because you got attached to Mackenzie, is not Mackenzie. But I bet you there's a bunch of other girls that are out there that would have no problem with this.

00:13:44 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 6:

There are so many other girls out there, it's not even funny. There's twice the amount of girls out there.

00:13:48 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 5:

Do you think he should mention that he's a virgin? Or can you just lie about it? after the fact like i like is that something that you say why would you lie about it though if it's important to you because some people might think that you're gonna you are gonna hurt him you know what i mean like some people might think that it's it's that awkward i also

00:14:05 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 4:

think we're lumping together virginity and waiting till marriage which are two different things and

00:14:09 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 3:

that's why i said like i don't know what like if this is a religious thing for him or what it is

00:14:14 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 4:

but that is definitely important because i don't think virginity needs to be discussed but i do think waiting for marriage needs to be discussed.

00:14:23 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 5:

All right. No match here for us. Another date. Thank you, James, for going on the air with us. Mackenzie, thanks for agreeing to go on the air with us. It's always tough when you're the person that has to be the bearer of bad news. So, second date update on Mojo in the Morning.
