This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be there you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or any 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four year.

But this felt like it was, like, it felt like it was on. You know, like, we met on an app that I usually, like, don't do apps anymore. I usually just meet people, like, in the world. But I met this guy on an app and, like, I don't know. Like, it was a really good date. Like, we had a really good time. And so I just, I don't know. That's why I went to you guys because I'm like, what happened?

All right. So I understand you guys just went bar hopping and went to a bunch of different bars. And at the end of the night, did you guys kiss? Did you hug? Yeah. You did kiss. Okay. what is the story i mean it's just something like i do on the side you know like it's just you know talking about places i've been like i have a lot of followers it's just something i do But it wasn't, like, all the time, and also, we didn't see your face at all.

I don't know. It seemed like more than that, but, like, it was, like, every, you know, everything we did was a post.

out i was just like so in the yeah in the middle of conversation you just pull your phone out and just start recording something and then where are you posting it right away or just post at the end

of the day i posted a couple right away of course i mean like that's what you do so so eric did you

feel like she wasn't carrying it all or paying attention to you or were you just feeling like she got my feet on video you know what I mean

I mean I was like in between the you know the videoing like yeah we like hang out in between but then I'd be like okay time to go back to like filming

um yeah I mean, I knew she had, like, a social media, like, presence and, like, you know, good stuff, but I didn't, it never occurred to me that it would be, like, during the date, you know?

or something like that but after the date you can balance it by all means but if he knew going into it that you know she's an influencer justice on the site he should know it to kind of expect if he follows her but i just feel like what does he have to hide because i'm looking at like you know

the people that are on the show here and and i'm like thinking of could you imagine going out with

kp and the entire time all she's doing is posting i think it's a balance because i think if you know that going into it you should expect while they create a lot of content from being out socially that's probably something that will continue once we date comma but dot dot dot yeah I feel like it's inappropriate on a first date yes and you don't start doing it on dates until you've had a conversation I agree 100% agree

just because you know what the person does is different in theory than it is in practice I can know you're an influencer but once we get on that date and you constantly pull out the phone and you then don't date me because that's how I make money do you get what I'm saying though no you don't get what I'm saying

no because that's like going up to a mechanic and then going, I know you're a mechanic, I'm going to date you, and then once we date, going, I can't believe you're a mechanic and you're working on a car.

Yeah, but he's not going to, in the middle of a date, fix your car.

I was just saying the same thing that the last caller said. He literally said, I follow her. so like if he's following her he knows what she's posting so the fact that he's surprised is silly to me here's my question and also you guys are making it sound like she was on her phone the entire time like she probably it her total clips were probably like 20 seconds total okay so the four hour night here

my question shouldn't she ask him for permission before she posts even his toe no really not if

they're out in public i mean if it's not his face he's not talking because people would be so upset

from every single person in the bar i don't know but she's on she's out with him she knows him and

say hey you know what like give me at least i would say she only needs to ask if it's his face or whatever or his voice like his foot who cares but i still think it's so rude on a first date to do that even whether you know what this person does or not like i don't think that you expect that to take over your date like that was the takeaway from the date for him

Wow. Well, sounds like you guys, I'll be honest, it sounds like you guys did not have a good enough date to want a second date anyway and honestly, as a guy, I would probably think this girl's not into me at all if she's constantly doing this, especially if she's posting it while we're going on the date.

Alan Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year yet. I don't think I was mentally prepared.

bishop state they had the program i met a few people there i ended up enrolling the instructor first i met him i told him about my background he said okay great you know about this he built me straight to work he didn't let me have any leeway he pushed me to my limits so i think that made me choose drafting design at bishop state and stuck with it but the sport's amazing all my instructors just want to see me succeed they want to push me to my limit they want to see me to be the best i can be get a job just be as successful as i can be and i really appreciate all of them with my degree as of right now my plan is to work for the city of mobile with their urban and planning department and I've already got a job shadow before and hopefully I will internship over the summer.
