It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

00:01:49 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 7:

All right, why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? We're going to find out this morning with the second date update here on the Mojo in the Morning show. uh melina is getting ghosted and melina what's happening how are you hey how you doing good the uh unusual thing is usually when we have ghosting situations it's usually guys that are ghosting the women or guys ghosting other guys you're getting ghosted by a woman that you went

00:02:18 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 6:

out with yeah it was a couple of days ago i thought things went well that night i'm confused

00:02:26 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 7:

i'm confused too because i thought women don't ghost i did not i didn't realize that but it seems like lately we've been getting does not discriminate well i everybody could get it i'm not going to uh try to discriminate or put anybody into a box but i always feel like i have more faith in you guys um all right who is it that's ghosting you her name is claire and we're gonna get her here. Claire, are you there? Yeah. How are you, Claire? I'm good. How are you? I'm doing okay. Hey, Claire, we have Melina on the phone with us who just wanted to call the Mojo in the morning show up to find out what's going on with the relationship that she's hoping that she could

00:03:06 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 6:

have with you will you say hi to her hello hey how you doing i'm good how are you good

00:03:17 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 7:

how did you guys meet melina uh so it was on bumble okay and you guys went out on one date it just went yeah okay and it's fresh this was just a couple days ago and you thought it was good

00:03:33 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 6:

I thought it was good. That's why I don't know why I haven't heard from her at all.

00:03:39 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 7:

What about you, Claire? What did you think?

00:03:44 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 5:

Well, I mean, she was trying to teach me how to lose weight using the MyFitnessPal app.

00:03:53 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 7:

Okay.

00:03:54 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:03:56 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 7:

Was it just a conversation you guys were having, or what was she doing?

00:03:59 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 5:

um i mean she was just like explaining how you know she tracks her macros and calories and how she could lose or gain weight depending on the calories and were you on the plate was like a certain amount of protein or carbs how did this get brought up in the first place? So I pulled up the app. Just to log your food that you're eating during your meal.

00:04:33 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. So it wasn't like you were saying to her, hey, this is something that you should use and it would be like an insult. That's right, yeah. Okay. I was doing my own thing. You were doing your own. Okay. Yeah.

00:04:47 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 7:

Melina, were you just trying to show her what you're doing or were you trying to encourage her to also do this?

00:04:52 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

no she started asking me about it what are you doing i'm like oh this is my fitness pal i like to use it to keep track of

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 3:

everything that I'm eating, so I make sure I'm not going over calories, so I know that I have sufficient fitness going

00:05:05 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 8:

into my day. So she asked you about it. You didn't bring it on to her. She asked

00:05:09 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 7:

you about it. That's right. So how did the conversation turn to you telling her that she was fat? Wait. She didn't say that. That's how I felt. I never said that. Well, I'm saying, maybe I'm misinterpreting it, but it seems as though that was how she took it. Am I wrong

00:05:29 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

and assuming that you have to ask her that's who i'm asking yeah she was she was actually like being very detailed and explaining to me how i could use the app and track my macros and calories and proteins and carbs and you know i've struggled um with body issues my whole life and i really didn't expect the conversation to be centered around body and weight loss talk can i can i

00:06:01 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 8:

throw this out to the listeners and then i want to come back and talk more about you guys are there any listeners that are listening to the show right now that have ever gone on a date with somebody where they've done something similar to this and a thought came in my head and i don't know if this has ever happened to anybody i remember weight watchers doing that one time

00:06:17 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 1:

and you would count points and things like that my fitness pal is the same i know so many people I use it every day

00:06:21 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 8:

Has anybody gone out With somebody that was on Like Weight Watchers And they did that Or has anybody been On a date ever And you know how If you have an Apple Watch Your watch will tell you To stand up at times Has anybody ever

00:06:31 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 2:

Actually stood up Hold on My watch is home

00:06:34 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 8:

844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 I feel like There's just a misunderstanding I do too And I feel like Melina means well And I think Claire Unfortunately this is Too close to home Where you felt I don't know

00:06:50 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 2:

But I get both sides because weight is such a sensitive topic. And I'm the kind of person where I actually use this app daily. My fitness pal is something that I use. Like when I'm eating, I log it because if I don't, I'll forget. And that's how I hold myself accountable. But I also think it's super inappropriate to do on a date. Like that's the one time I would wait until afterwards. And also, weight is just so sensitive for everybody.

00:07:11 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 8:

Have you ever been on a date where, because I go out to eat with you. And first off, you always have eaten slow. like really slow to the point where literally i'm like are we gonna be here all day this is not fair

00:07:23 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 2:

he interviews me during our meals so i don't have time to eat literally she had two pieces of sushi

00:07:27 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 8:

while i ate like five rolls well so have you ever been on a date where somebody's commented how

00:07:33 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

little you have eaten um no truly the only person i struggle eating with is you really oh okay and not in about you will ask a very interesting thought-provoking question and it's not a simple answer so then i elaborately answer while you're eating and then by the end i'm like

00:07:49 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 7:

i know some people who don't like to eat in front of others yeah they feel judged so they'll eat a little bit at a time or sure they carry it home even if they're hungry though

00:07:59 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 8:

chelsea and i our first dates were at olive garden for all you can eat salad and breadsticks so that was so we ate so that was good i don't think anybody did anything wrong here like you

00:08:08 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 1:

said i think it's a big misunderstanding but i can see like megan said you know weight is a touchy subject but i could also see that it would be very annoying and frustrating to date somebody who is constantly um making it like you you log your stuff i don't even know you're doing it right but there are some people who are like my meal is not macro balanced we need to go you know we need to order something different or we need that could get a little old real fast i agree i agree but when

00:08:38 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 2:

you find that person that fits you i feel like that's the kind of person you need to look for Does that make sense?

00:08:42 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 8:

Madeline, what's up?

00:08:44 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. I just wanted to say, I think Claire is misunderstanding the comment. Like, she's not telling her to lose weight or anything. She's just telling her about the app. Exactly. But also, like, you're the controller of how you feel and everything. So, like, if this conversation is making you uncomfortable, say something. We're adults here.

00:09:03 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Well, with all second date updates that we have. Chelsea, what's up?

00:09:09 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Good morning. Morning. One time, I was on a date with a guy, and we were talking about my summer, what I was up to for the summer. I said that my parents got weight loss surgery, and he looked me up and down.

00:09:20 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 1:

He was like, so have you always been obese, too?

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 5:

Oh.

00:09:23 - 00:09:24 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:09:24 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 1:

I really hope there was no second date there. No, not at all.

00:09:29 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 5:

Jacob.

00:09:30 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 8:

Man, yeah, that's not a good thing. Laura, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi. We got Melina trying to get a second date with Claire. What's up, Laura?

00:09:41 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

i'm so sorry hi good morning morning what's happening you didn't think we're gonna pick up this fast no i didn't i was like half closing my door because i'm at work well good morning no i was just saying that i think because she mentioned she's already a little sensitive about the weight topic so once that was

00:10:00 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 9:

brought up i think you know her guard goes up and she's just a little closed off and the other girl was just maybe really interested in it and like oh let me tell you about this thing that i know and that i'm doing for myself can i be fair to melina in this situation because i feel sometimes people are passionate about tracking stuff or going to the and i get that but we also forget some people struggle with eating disorders or heavily tracked their stuff to an extreme point so even though you're excited about it it can bring back really bad moments for other people um marcia what's up

00:10:34 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 1:

i think that she did the right thing to ghost her um it is inappropriate that you meet someone for the first time and you want to you know log your meal she could have taken a picture of her meal logged it later or maybe had interaction a little bit longer to kind of pick up on the cues of, you know, what this woman is all about. It sounds like she wasn't there to really get to know her.

00:11:04 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 5:

Well, let me ask her. In hindsight, Melina, do you think you would have handled it differently knowing how Claire reacted to this?

00:11:11 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I'm still surprised it's an issue and that she took it that way. But, yeah, definitely.

00:11:19 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 5:

Claire, do you think that you would ever think about giving a second date?

00:11:23 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 2:

I mean, it's just like, maybe I'm just, it's something that I struggle with. So somebody constantly like tracking their thing and it being in my face and spoken about is a bit much for me.

00:11:39 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 5:

All right. Well, we tried. Second date update here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. I kind of feel like sometimes we're like, oh, I think we're going to get a second date out of it. I thought that one was possible, but I think that Claire is definitely not.
