All right, we're going to do second date update right now. If you've been on a date and you're not getting a call back, this is a way for you to figure out what the reasoning is. All right, second date update right here on Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:34 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 2:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:38 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 6:

And Ashley is getting ghosted. How many dates did you guys go on, Ashley?

00:02:46 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 8:

Just like two.

00:02:48 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 6:

So you guys have been out twice and not getting another call back from him after that?

00:02:54 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 8:

no i so i mean we just we just went on a date uh to we went to the movies we saw toy story we went and got something to eat i mean i met him at uh at my restaurant uh he worked i worked at a restaurant and he was a customer okay yeah i mean i don't know i everything seemed fine i just I don't know I'm just like confused I don't know what happened

00:03:23 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 6:

Alright so what was the last time that you guys corresponded with each other either text or call

00:03:30 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 8:

It's probably like a week and a half ago

00:03:35 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 6:

And was it a text

00:03:36 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 8:

Yeah I had I was asking like what's up and nothing

00:03:45 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 6:

He gave you nothing He's on the phone with us right now Ashley say hey to Nathan hey nathan oh hey well nathan wow oh hey nathan we we had talked to you and told you that we had ashley on the phone and wanted you to come on with us um yeah yeah it doesn't it doesn't make

00:04:15 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 7:

it any less awkward to be honest.

00:04:18 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 8:

Why is it awkward?

00:04:23 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. I mean you know, Ashley, she seemed cool and all, but this didn't really work out.

00:04:34 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 6:

You didn't enjoy your time with her? You didn't enjoy the times that you guys would just talk back and forth or even go on a couple of dates with each other?

00:04:45 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I mean, I did. It's just so, like, all right. So she took me to see Toy Story in 35.

00:04:54 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

That's cute. Toy Story is for every age.

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 4:

I disagree if that's the reason.

00:05:02 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 5:

Why is she taking you? Why are you saying it like that? I mean, also, do what? Never mind. Go on.

00:05:10 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. She also told me that she has no friends. And, you know. Okay.

00:05:18 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 6:

I work all the time. Are you kidding me? It's because we went to Toy Story and I said I had no friends. I mean, come on.

00:05:28 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 3:

When you say, you know. Ashley, when you say I have no friends, were you saying that just as a figure of speech or were you meaning it? You do not have any friends.

00:05:37 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 6:

Well, I mean, like I am a workaholic. I work all the time. So it's like hard for me to like make friends. And like all of my like school friends, I, you know, I really don't keep in contact with them anymore. So I mean, I just have acquaintances.

00:05:54 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 2:

Do you have a tablet? Because that's literally the girl in the movie. She didn't have friends either.

00:05:58 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? I'm sorry. Spoiler alert.

00:06:02 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 2:

I want to make a joke.

00:06:03 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 3:

Real quick, I want to ask Nathan a couple of things. So, Nathan, you think it's a little bit of a red flag that she doesn't have friends?

00:06:13 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 4:

It's a definite red flag. I mean, at this point in our lives, we've gone through high school, maybe even went to college, and we've had more than one job, probably, and all that time. You have nobody that you're close with? It's very, very worrisome.

00:06:29 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 6:

Wow. Okay. So, wow. So that's a red flag to you? Somebody that doesn't have a lot of friends or wants to see Toy Story? I mean, you sound like a red flag to me. Like, it's like you're nitpicking. Like, you said you had a great time on the date, right? Like, you had a good time.

00:06:52 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 3:

How did you guys end your Toy Story movie date? Did you guys go out afterwards or did you guys?

00:06:58 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we went to get something to eat, and we were talking, and we were driving.

00:07:03 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

So the movie before, and then did you guys kiss goodbye, or how did you guys end your entire, the last time that you guys physically were with each other?

00:07:12 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 6:

When we hugged. I mean, there was no kiss.

00:07:15 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 3:

That was a hug. So he didn't go in and try to kiss or have sex with you or anything like that. It was basically him just hugging you goodbye. So do you look at it now and sense that maybe he wasn't as into you as you might have thought?

00:07:28 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 6:

well no we i felt like the hug was mutual and i felt like he was being respectful of me by not going in for a kiss so you know like we like he went in for the hug and i i went in as well like i felt like it was both of us and and and the the hug it didn't feel like a little pat pat it felt like a warm hug like inviting like maybe something can happen you know it it was very deceiving. If that's how he felt, like that hug was very deceiving.

00:08:00 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I just wanted to see if he was sending miss signals.

00:08:05 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Yes. I believe so. Hold on.

00:08:08 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

Christina wants to say something. What's up, Christina? Christina.

00:08:15 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I just want to talk about I'm disappointed that he's bothered that you don't have a lot of friends. You said you have a lot of friends. A lot of people who have a lot of friends, no offense, they're basic because people don't see you as a threat. They don't see you as competition. They don't see you going nowhere in life, so that's why it's easy to be around you. A lot of times when you've got visions, dreams, goals, and you're doing things with your life, people get jealous of that. So it's hard for them to stay in your presence. It's easy to stay in your presence if you have nothing going on. Biggie Small. Thank you.

00:08:53 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 3:

Christina.

00:08:54 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 5:

That's interesting.

00:08:55 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 3:

Christina has an interesting perspective on her. Do you not have a lot of friends, Christina?

00:09:02 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 5:

I don't hang with a lot of people because where I'm going, they're not going. You get what I'm saying? Sure. You can hang with a lot of people, you're basic because you don't have no discernment on who you should be around. When you're at this age in life, as he said, you should have a better discernment and be selective. a lot of people are not selective because they're still the person that grew up from when they were kids when you were when you were adopting you a whole different person in a whole different world and you look at life she's got a point of view a lot of people i have i really appreciate that

00:09:34 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 1:

point of view and i've never thought about that point of view i you know right off the bat i the toy story thing is nitpicky like i don't even want to talk about that but the friends thing like i do see where he's coming from of it could definitely be a red flag to me if yeah if somebody doesn't have any friends and i understand you work a lot like i completely understand that but you know to his point of like me yeah childhood friends high school college work friends neighbors what like even friends if you are a workaholic you don't have any friends at work i don't know i i guess i would raise my eyebrows at that too

00:10:09 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 2:

i would it's levels to it though hey brie you can't make fun what is wrong with you i know christina's boy uh stuffy nose or or she might have a deviated septum and i'll be honest with you you cannot make fun of her because it happens to the best of us i have a deviated great perspective what's up brie hey guys good morning um morning um i just wanted to comment

00:10:42 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 6:

too i actually well one i'm almost 48 years old i moved around i went to seven different schools as i grew up um so i don't have any childhood friends because i never stayed anywhere long have to build those kind of relationships so what about adult friends and then well i also living i actually have adhd i was actually diagnosed about six seven years ago okay and six seven yeah um and i uh it's actually very hard for me to maintain those connections because of my adhd um i'm actually a nurse so yeah um and so it's really hard for me to because Because it's like out of sight, out of mind in my brain, unless they're right there. So I got married a couple years ago, and my friends are because of my husband.

00:11:33 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. That's good. You got friends. Thank you. All right. Well, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. I'm going to move to the next calls. Can people, when they give their comments, let's go faster with your comments. I want quick rapid fire. No, no, no.

00:11:47 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 4:

Or just hang up on them.

00:11:49 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 2:

No, I can't do that. I can't. I just want to hang up on them. But I want to get your point of views, but I want to get them faster. than what you're doing right now. Ariana, give me a quick comment on this.

00:12:01 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 4:

Sure. I see both ends of the perspective. I had an ex who didn't have any friends. He was like a truck driver. We were both pretty young in our early 20s. And at first it wasn't an issue, but down the line within the two, three years that we dated, I found myself going through situations that even kind of like bring him as like a third wheel. And it wasn't an issue, but my person, I was like, I encouraged him to go make friends. So to the point of myself, I had to let two friends go because they let, you know, he was a cheater. So they took his side. But it was like, OK, you know, birds of a feather usually flock together. So I'm glad that he was able to, you know, walk away with two friends that I appreciate.

00:12:35 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 1:

If you're in a relationship, you need other people to like, you can't put all your eggs in that relationship basket. That is putting way too much pressure on that person. You need people outside of a relationship.

00:12:48 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

00:12:49 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 7:

sondra what's up it's mojo in the morning hi hi so me and my daughter we're actually listening and i agree with him actually i feel as if you cannot maintain a friendship how would you want to maintain a relationship you need to have certain themes like conflict resolution communication skills you know you need those things and so if you can't have that in a friendship how are you going to maintain a relationship is your daughter there i want to know i want to know

00:13:17 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 2:

So your daughter there?

00:13:20 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 7:

Yes. Actually, my daughter said it. She was like, wait a minute, Mom. She said, I think I agree. Let me say hi to her.

00:13:27 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 2:

What's her name?

00:13:28 - 00:13:29 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:13:29 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 7:

Her name is Mylon.

00:13:31 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 2:

Mylon.

00:13:34 - 00:13:34 | Unknown:

Hey.

00:13:34 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 2:

Get off, Mylon. Does Mom have a lot of friends, Mylon?

00:13:39 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 7:

Yes.

00:13:40 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 2:

Okay. How about you? Do you have a lot of friends, too?

00:13:44 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 7:

Not really. No. I have one.

00:13:47 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 2:

So you're listening with your mom to the second date update and you're hearing this going, I don't think Nathan's that bad of a guy. What do you guys think about the Toy Story date?

00:13:56 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 5:

I think he was trying to not really pinpoint everything on one situation. So he tried to put something else in there.

00:14:05 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Okay. Well, thank you guys for listening. I appreciate it.

00:14:10 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 7:

Of course. Thank you.

00:14:11 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. Here's the deal. Nathan, I think he's just not that into Ashley. I'll be honest. and I don't think that it's one of those things where it's one thing, it's a bunch. The fact that the guy gave her what she called a warm hug, I don't know what a warm hug is. But just a hug? I don't know. He didn't seem like he was India, Ashley, and I think it's just move on and you find another guy to go hang out with. There's plenty of guys out there, unfortunately. There are a lot of bad ones, too. Minions is out.

00:14:41 - 00:14:46 | Speaker 7:

You'll go see some. Yeah, now that I know. Now that I know the reason, yeah, I'm good. Okay.

00:14:47 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 2:

All right. And Nathan, best of luck to you. Yeah, thanks. Take care of yourself. All right. Second date update.

00:14:56 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 6:
