yes you know what uh it's a 40th anniversary of that song by the way and um and the electric slide has become uh so so much a part of culture of popular culture that you're looking at bar mitzvahs and weddings it's just a part of the parties it's just a part of the whole vibe and to bring it back you know i brought marcia griffiths who did the original song yeah um and she was an original member of the eye trees which is the the three ladies that sing with bob marley on stage and is on every bob marley record and it was written by bunny whaler who's one of the original whalers uh which was bob peter and bunny um initially and bunny whaler wrote the song so this is a very iconic song right and so when i when they asked the jeep asked me to recreate the song because obviously it's a super bowl commercial for their electric jeep and of course you know it's a caribbean super bowl you have rihanna you know uh doing the halftime sherry ralph actually is also on there you know we had to get it right culturally And so I brought Marcia Griffiths back in. She was super happy to come on board with me and kind of guide us to how we did the track over. We brought three emerging artists, which is Maya and, you know, and, of course, Amber Lee and Jamila Falak, three young artists out of Jamaica who are very emerging and doing very well here. And it's almost like her passing the baton onto them. And they all was into the electric slide, and they kind of twisted it a little bit and made it more new for TikTok. And Marcy was super, super into it. So it's been a great, great experience doing this, man.
