mojo in the morning show second date updates coming up why you're not getting a call back we will find out uh keep listening for that and if you ever want to be on second date update you can text date to 95500 if you're trying to figure out why you're not getting a call back uh shannon this happens to you anytime that you do this uh you left so early for something but

00:02:48 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 7:

then we're so late okay look i am directionally challenged okay i never know where i'm going where i'm supposed to be why am i like that um west and i are volunteering for i don't know if you guys have ever heard of this before but it's tim tebow's night to shine it's like a big prom like prom dance that he um it's basically a prom for special needs teenagers and it's a huge huge event and there's hundreds of people that are volunteering or attending and i am so super excited about this because i've been wanting to do it for a couple of years and this year i'm finally doing doing it so where is it at where's where's this one so it is going to be at emmanuel uh church and lutheran school over on the east side in the home okay because a buddy of mine

00:03:31 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 4:

chad is actually doing one in livonia at his church too i am so excited about this so the

00:03:37 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

the second wes and i are on the lead volunteer team okay so there are all of these meetings leading up to it the second meeting for the volunteer team leads was last night important part of the story i had to do the first one via facetime because i was super sick and i was in bed so that's how i did it so wes and i decided we were going to meet up there and he gave me instructions on exactly where to go in the building because i'm not super familiar with this building i'm just not super familiar with the east side in general and so he was he texted me park in the parking lot in the back and turn near the worship center across from the graveyard so i go to lutheran north high school where i think that this meeting is happening and i drive around and i do not see a graveyard and i've been there before i'm like i don't realize there was a graveyard there so i drive around again no graveyard i'm like what entrance is he talking about so i call him and he knows exactly why i'm calling yes is how he answers the phone i'm like dude i don't see a graveyard or a worship center where in the heck am i supposed to go in and he's like you idiot you are at the wrong place you guys i was about 15 minutes away from where i was supposed to be and the worst part was like you said mojo i had left an hour early because i knew traffic was going to be bad on hall road and also i wanted to go through starbucks Yes.

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 5:

So you look like a real dumbass when you walk into a meeting 15 minutes late holding your Starbucks cup because everybody thinks that that's the reason you were late.

00:05:09 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 4:

See, you don't chug it in the car like I do. Anytime I'm running late and I stop somewhere with time and then I'm like, I'm going to be 15 minutes late. You're like, well, this hot ass coffee is getting absolutely chugged right now because I wanted it for the meeting.

00:05:23 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 5:

How do I go to the wrong freaking place?

00:05:26 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 2:

Do you not put everything in your calendar? Yes, I do. Knowing your GPS.

00:05:31 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I do. I was going to Lutheran North High School. Oh, you wrote the name down. You didn't actually put the address on it. It wasn't in my calendar. The location wasn't in my calendar. It just said, it says ministry. Look, I'm going to show Megan. Ministry room two. Yeah. I don't know where that is. Yeah. So I'm assuming it's at his kid's high school where this is taking place, but it's not.

00:05:51 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I am dumb. Especially if it's a Lutheran high school, you would think, oh, there's like a ministry room there.

00:05:56 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:05:57 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 4:

It all made sense to me.

00:05:58 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 2:

The worst is when you go to a high school, too, for an event. You have to leave almost eight hours early because you never know which door to walk into. And I had this happen to me when I went to Waterford Mott to go to Mike Porter's son's basketball game. And I go to walk in, and I walked in the door the furthest away from the gymnasium.

00:06:23 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I hate that.

00:06:25 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

And the whole time I'm having to walk through it. Like I had to walk, that place has like a pool and two gyms and all this stuff. It's like that place is like a college campus. And the whole time that I'm there at the game, I'm going, crap, I got to walk all the way out to get to my car after this. Like I wanted to go drive my car and pull like, pull further closer to it. So I use my, I use Waze for everything. Chelsea thinks it's crazy. But I use, if I leave work, I put Waze on for my home address. and I go because I get sometimes caught in traffic by an accident or something like that and Chelsea thinks it's the stupidest thing ever that I do this that I use it for everything like I don't care where I'm going I could be going to the the you know I don't know the the cleaners I don't know I never go to the cleaners I was looking for a place to go to where am I going I could be going to the strip club and I know where the strip club is do I sound cooler it's

00:07:21 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 3:

I use Waze better than Google Maps or even Apple Maps.

00:07:23 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 2:

Well, it makes no difference. Whatever. I don't never use Apple Maps. Apple Maps is the worst because they never give you the accents.

00:07:31 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 4:

Wrong. Absolutely wrong. Apple Maps is superior and it gives you all the cop locations too. It does. Really? It does. So accurate. It says we check ahead.

00:07:39 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

Then you must have an updated version.

00:07:41 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 5:

It sucks. I do like it.

00:07:42 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 1:

That's why I use Waze. Yeah, Waze. Because they're so accurate with where the police traps are. There's a car up ahead.

00:07:48 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if you are, Kevin, but I am a, I am a ways where, I don't know what it is, but I get like, wait, I will note when they say, is car still there? Like, you know, whatever, or if the police officer, police officers are still there. I answer them right away and they give me points on that. I'm with you.

00:08:06 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 3:

What do you use points for?

00:08:07 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm a Wazer. You just do it.

00:08:09 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 3:

Just so you can say that? It's like a reward.

00:08:11 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 2:

I am a, I am one of their, I'm one of their frequent reporters. I report too. Do you have like a little cartoon? Hey, we all have our jobs. some of us care more than others do

00:08:23 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 5:

I wish you could see his face because he's so excited about this

00:08:26 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you you guys are the people that are in America that would not stand up for others Kevin and I stand up for those in traffic

00:08:37 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 5:

by the way the same thing happens on maps it says is this incident still there you guys just look at it it depends on what mood I'm in sometimes I click the opposite No, it's not there. It is there. It is there. But I'm annoyed that this little thing popped up on my screen. So I do the opposite.

00:08:56 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 1:

Google Maps is the same thing, but there's no rewards. I kind of do like the rewards. So it's fun.

00:09:01 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 3:

There's no rewards, Mike. It's just fake points. It's like, whose line is it anyway? The points don't matter. I think you get a crown. Oh, wow.

00:09:10 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 1:

A crown. And I don't know.

00:09:12 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mike, let me equate it to this. Okay. Google Maps and Apple Maps compared to Waze is like going to Qdoba compared to going to Chipotle.

00:09:26 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 4:

No, Waze is the Android. How dare you. I do have a question. I never use Waze, but I do hear great things about it. Will it tell you how long the backup is? Because the nice thing about Apple Maps, it'll be like, there's an accident. The backup will take you seven minutes to get through.

00:09:42 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 2:

Mine does a thing where it shows a red line on it, and then we'll say the minutes, the amount of minutes. Oh, that's nice. Okay.

00:09:48 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 1:

Can you also control, like, your music through Apple Maps? Because you can't through Waze.

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

Why am I going to control my music through Waze? I'm going to turn up the volume myself. I mean, like, you can change the song through Waze.

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 11:

like it'll show you it'll display the song title, the name and give you the options to pause, go back

00:10:05 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 5:

to be honest, I have an Apple Watch so my navigation always just comes through my watch so if I need to change the song

00:10:10 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 11:

oh, so you're a distracted driver I have my voice I have my voice on the lady tells me which way to go

00:10:19 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 5:

I can say, hey Siri play the next song

00:10:22 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 3:

Google Maps hooks up to your Spotify playlists and everything okay, can you Can you get free McDonald's double quarter pounder with sweet cheese and French fries with your Google Maps and Maps? I don't think so.

00:10:39 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 9:

Can you with Waze? You can't do that with Waze either.

00:10:41 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

No, you can't. I was going to try to see if there's something else there. Can you get Roadhead? Tina, what's up?

00:10:55 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 7:

hey how are you first time caller I drive all day every day freaking love Wendy I call her Wendy

00:11:12 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 3:

oh you don't call her that's funny so it's Wendy

00:11:18 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 7:

yeah she's very nice she lets me know what's going on i also have a crown kevin my report so the points do matter yes these guys these guys get none of that oh and you can plan a drive did you know that you can plan a drive you can't

00:11:40 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 6:

okay okay can i ask a question about ways can you like uh i actually just found this out yesterday so i live in downtown detroit now and i was trying to go to the secretary of state and it It would give me routes that were driving, biking, walking, taking a queue, taking a bus. If you're in New York City, it tells you exactly which subway is it on. It tells you the bus number. It does.

00:12:05 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 11:

You ready to have your bubble burst? I bet you Jennifer Hudson can't be your voice. Exactly.

00:12:11 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 6:

I turn the voices off anyway.

00:12:13 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 11:

What if you could have Jennifer Hudson telling you where to go? Yeah.

00:12:15 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 3:

And by the way, to go back to Megan, Megan, I don't take public transportation. I have my own car.

00:12:22 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 11:

Oh, good. What about Christina Aguilera?

00:12:26 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 5:

What? That's random. Some of us park in a parking garage where if there's anything going on downtown, you're not going to get your spot back. So you can't drive everywhere.

00:12:35 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. Misfit Victor wants to make a comment on this. What is your favorite?

00:12:39 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 9:

Good morning, guys. I use Waze, as we call it. Waze. So fancy. The best thing about Waze is, and Mojo, you remember this when I drove to the airport one time. You can record voices. So my kids are giving me all those turn-by-turn directions. No way.

00:12:58 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 11:

I did not know that. That was a little weird, by the way. That's very cute. I like that. Wait, really?

00:13:03 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. He does. He has his kids.

00:13:06 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, so it's like I'll be driving and my son will be like, oh, spit, accident reported ahead.

00:13:12 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 11:

I got to figure out how to do that.

00:13:14 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 4:
