I am so obsessed. If you don't know who Mr. Beast is, he is the most subscribed to person on YouTube, okay? And he's just, like, a guy. I think his name's Jimmy. I could be wrong. Like, we watch Mr. Beast every single day. And he does these, like, he used to be a big philanthropist, and he would give away, like, tons and tons of money. And now he does these, like, competitions and stunts and whatever. So he's a YouTube dude.

He always has big celebrities on with him, too.

Tons. Yeah, like Tom Brady just did a thing with him, right?

It was the hit the football with the, or hit the drone with the football thing.

Yeah. And he also has his own line of merch. So he's got like apparel. He has Beast Burger, which you can order on DoorDash and you can get like these hamburgers that are really just like, you know, a Red Robin hamburger in a Mr. Beast bag. But, and then he also has candy, including chocolate bars. And so Lucy and Smith were bugging me and bugging me and bugging me. Mom, mom, mom, can we please get these Mr. Beast candy bars? And there was a specific one that they wanted, the one with the orange wrapper. I'm like, okay. So I go online and I see that I could order them at Walmart. And I'm like, perfect. I'm going to order a candy bar for each of them. Walmart, I'm just going to do a pickup so I can drive up. The guy can hand me the candy bars and I can be on my way. I don't have to go in the store because I very much get distracted when I go into stores. You all know this. This would be the easiest thing. Well, I've never done a pickup at Walmart before because Target is always my place, right? I assumed that it would be just like target where you pull up to the spot you you know tell them you're here and and they bring it out to whatever spot you're in well for whatever reason that wasn't working for me so I had to call the number that was on the sign in front of me the other day so I called this number and the guy who answered he was so sweet but I don't think he could hear me very well and so he's like what's your last name and I'm trying to spell my legal last name it's not Murphy it's you know and he he was just not getting it he kept saying like the wrong name. And so finally I was like, sir, it's just two chocolate bars that I need to pick up. The Mr. Beast Deez Nuts chocolate bars.

I felt so stupid

and the kids are in the backseat laughing so hard I thought they were going to throw up because I'm like so embarrassed that I need to pick up the Deez Nuts. Got it! Chocolate bars! That's the crap we do, I swear, for our kids. Yeah. He comes up to the window and he handed them to me. I was like, thank you. Strove away in shame.

He didn't make you repeat yourself. I'm sorry, ma'am, what?

At that point, all of a sudden, he could hear me.

He probably knew the whole time. He just wanted you to say it. do you think maybe that's the case i've never thought about that the guy is actually like i'm gonna make it how many times a day do you think he does how many yeah when you say candy bar. Can you describe it, please?

The true name. D's nuts. He's like, got another one.

I picked up one of those robocalling people the other day, and I did it completely by accident. I don't know why. I usually don't pick up anybody if they're not saved in my phone.

Yeah.

And I picked it up, and it was this guy on the phone, and I'm not kidding you when I say this to you, halfway through him doing his whole spiel, he goes, ah, crap, you're not going to get anything anyway.

And he gave up.

I said to him, I go, I have to be honest with you, this is the highlight of my day today, the mere fact that you gave up through the whole thing, and he's like, well, I just had to make one last call. So he was like, yeah.

I do that too, man. I say, hey, real quick, excuse me. I know you're working hard. I'm just going to be honest with you. I'm not going to buy anything you're selling. But I appreciate what you do. Just move on. You know what I mean? As opposed to hanging up on them or being rude. Just, hey, don't wait. That is a nicer way to go.

Well, the interesting thing is that there's now a lot of kids that this is their summer job. So a lot of the college kids come home and then they get these jobs and they have to sit in these rooms. And one of them was Chelsea's brother that used to have one of those jobs.

Like a telemarketer job?

Basically, his job was he was trying to sell carpet cleaning and it was for a big local carpet cleaner. And so he would sit in the room and he'd call like, you know, 200 people a day and get like three people to come do carpet cleaning. But that's considered a win on their case. and he would sit there and do the spiel, and the funny thing was he knew it by heart after a while. Oh, yeah. After like a week or so, it's like, you know, hey, do your carpets look, you know, look drained out and dreary? Do you even go through the whole thing and do the deal? But he said that the funniest was that old people loved it. Like old people would go, can you call me tomorrow? I want to talk to you because they just didn't have anybody to talk to.

I used to do telemarketing. Old people were the best.

Yeah.

And then you'd call the old people. What'd you sell? D's nuts.
