I'm putting everything aside right now. I hope that you haven't gone through a drive-thru yet to go get something for breakfast. If you got it, just leave it there for a second. You'll eat it for lunch because you're not going to eat after this whole thing.

00:02:37 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 2:

It's not that bad.

00:02:38 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 6:

Oh, well, first off, the video that you did to show us what it was, because we were going to talk about this yesterday, and you said, well, you know, I'll go home and I'll show you guys what I do. You do a video. Let me explain something real quick about Shannon. And if anybody agrees with this, tell me. If you disagree, tell me also. When Shannon does videos, she can never do a video without the perfect lighting, the perfect everything. It looks like a major motion picture, right?

00:03:05 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 2:

Well, my house is all windows, so it does help me. It's all natural light.

00:03:11 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 6:

Then I watch the video and I go, okay, this doesn't look that bad. But I know it's that bad. It's that bad because her fiance told her it was that bad. So she was Explain the story What do you do with your dog?

00:03:25 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 2:

So I When I feed my dog I I Put the food Like yesterday it was steak So I put it in my mouth And I make it into little tiny pieces And then I put it on the floor for him to eat

00:03:40 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 7:

So you Baby bird

00:03:42 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 2:

I baby bird my dog

00:03:43 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 7:

You baby bird your dog

00:03:44 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 2:

And I did not think that this was that weird Until Wes looked at me the other day doing it like I was an alien or something and he said who are you why don't you just give your put the food on the floor or cut it up with a knife okay and put it in his bowl but it is much easier to just do it with your teeth spit it out into your hand and put it on the floor does your dog have like

00:04:08 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 6:

uh like old people teeth or something like that that it can't bite through it or is it just to

00:04:12 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 2:

make it he doesn't have very many of his teeth left yeah because he's had to get them all pulled So we're working with The bare minimum amount of teeth He loves people food I have ruined him that way So that's what I do I don't think it's that strange

00:04:31 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 6:

The only reason why I bring this up Is you sent us the video Of you doing this

00:04:36 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 2:

That's really how I do it

00:04:38 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 6:

And I have to tell you that it didn't look as bad And I was thinking to myself Okay maybe either Wes Just has a weak stomach or maybe it's one of those typical Shannon videos where she's always like got the video looking so pretty and stuff like that.

00:04:54 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 2:

You guys are going to be at my house on Friday. Y'all can take some videos if you want.

00:04:57 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

I'm taking stock videos for like three weeks.

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 1:

Three weeks. That lag is incredible there. I would like for Wesley. Wesley, are you listening? Can I call him Wesley, by the way?

00:05:06 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:05:07 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 1:

Wesley.

00:05:08 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 5:

That's what Smith calls him. Does he really? Wesley. I'm like, there's no T in his name, but okay. Call him. He's awake.

00:05:16 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 1:

Here's what I want. I want him, though. I want him to get you doing this without you knowing that you're doing this so that we can see the true you.

00:05:24 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 5:

You guys have to take a video, so I'm sitting there taking it.

00:05:28 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 1:

All right. She's biting nicely into the meat, and then she puts it on the ground. I got a feeling, though, that you also, do you ever, like, bite into it and then go right up to him and, like, give him kisses and smooches and stuff, too?

00:05:41 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 5:

I truly have never kissed my dog on the lips.

00:05:43 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

No?

00:05:43 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 5:

I actually think that's kind of gross. I don't believe you. I haven't. I really haven't.

00:05:47 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 1:

Charlie looks like a kissed dog. Look at him. He just looks so kind and gentle and nice.

00:05:52 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 4:

I also think.

00:05:54 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Go ahead. What were both of you guys going to say? Say it at the same time. One, two, three, go. I was going to say, I think the video is so good, like you were going to give a code at the end.

00:06:10 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 5:

No, that meat was from Trader Joe's.

00:06:14 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 1:

Do you find it odd that she's baby birding her dog? Megan, this seems like something that you would never do with Coraline. Coraline never would get baby birded.

00:06:25 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely not. My dog doesn't even get people food. I'm so strict with her. See, you're good. No, because my dog is still bad. Even though I don't feed her people food, what I thought was the most amazing part of that video, Shan, was the container of the food was sitting on the floor. The dog had access to the food. The dog was waiting for you to place the food on the floor. My dog would act possessed in order to get to that food if it was just sitting on the floor.

00:06:51 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

I thought the same thing. I'm like, you know what Charlie is?

00:06:54 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 5:

He knows the routine that I chew it up for him first and put it on the ground.

00:06:59 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

He's like one of those circus animals that is trained, especially trained. Like, you know, like a tiger and stuff, like during the Siegfried and Roy days.

00:07:06 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 5:

Well, that didn't turn out well.

00:07:07 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, that's right. They bit off his arm.

00:07:09 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 5:

You also have to remember for a while, this dog would only eat off of a fork.

00:07:13 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

00:07:14 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 5:

Remember? Because that's how my mom was feeding him when she would take care of him. And then he came to my house and was like, what the F? You're putting it in a bowl? No.

00:07:22 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 1:

This is a Birmingham dog.

00:07:24 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 5:

I mean, come on. Fine, Shina. You prissy little thing. But we created this monster.

00:07:30 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 1:

Vicki, are you there? Yes, I am. Vicki, what do you think about the fact that Shannon baby birds her dog, Charlie?

00:07:39 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 4:

It's perfectly normal.

00:07:42 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 1:

What?

00:07:43 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 4:

Yes, because even small pets, especially, if you give them a piece of food that they like, they are going to try to inhale it. And that makes it a choking hazard.

00:07:55 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 1:

Really? So are you also...

00:07:58 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 4:

It's taking the time to cut a bite of food up for...

00:08:01 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but wouldn't it take just as short a time if Shannon just put that thing with a knife?

00:08:07 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 3:

And a plate. No, because then you have to get up and get the fork and get the knife. No.

00:08:13 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, I think I was just jealous because Shannon was sitting on the floor and it would have taken me eight years to get off the floor.

00:08:20 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 5:

P.S. Normally I don't sit on the floor But that was the only way I could get The video and the dog in the video Do you see what I mean? It was just me I do that for my cat So normally I have it on the counter And I put it down on the ground

00:08:32 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 1:

Vicki, do you kiss your cats and dogs on the lips?

00:08:37 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 4:

I don't have a dog But if I tried to get that close to my cat With my face He would probably buddy me

00:08:43 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay Vicious cats That's why I don't have a cat For that same reason That sucked the life out of you at night.

00:08:50 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 2:

But this is why dog people are weirder than cat people. You're a dog person! No, I am a cat person who has a dog.

00:08:57 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 1:

That is true. I always thought you were a cat person, and then when all of a sudden you came home with a, well, I don't know if necessarily you can call Coraline a dog.

00:09:07 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 5:

Do you kiss Coraline on the lips, by the way? Absolutely not. Yeah, see, that's where I really do draw the line there. Like, I've never let Char lick my face or anything like that. He also has the worst breath on planet Earth.

00:09:18 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 1:

It's because he's eating steak, and he's not eating his teeth. I mean, it is nasty. He needs a mint. You need to put a mint afterwards.

00:09:26 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, greenies do not work, by the way. So you could go ahead and text that suggestion. That is BS.

00:09:32 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 1:

Shauna, what's up?

00:09:34 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So I could hand my dog food, and she would look at me and not touch it. I have to put the bowl in the microwave for a second. I don't have to turn it on. As long as it sits in the microwave for two seconds, I could put it on the floor.

00:09:45 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Stop for a second. You have to warm your dog's food up Or your dog won't eat it

00:09:50 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 3:

I don't have to turn it on I don't have to turn the microwave on Or hit start or anything I just have to sit the bowl in there for a second

00:09:55 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 1:

So your dog has to see that it looks like you're Your dog has to see that it looks like you're actually doing that. Not that you're doing it, but it looks like you're doing it.

00:10:06 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 3:

Now, I have a cat as well that doesn't have a litter box. She scratches at the door to go outside.

00:10:11 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 1:

That is amazing. I like that, though. I wish I could have that. That is wild.

00:10:16 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 3:

The whole using the potty for a cat, that's just weird. If I walk in the bathroom, am I supposed to say, excuse me, I'm sorry, because we're using the toilet? I don't know.

00:10:24 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 1:

It smells terrible.

00:10:24 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 3:

I couldn't do that.

00:10:25 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, are there any people that their animals have to have the door closed to go to the bathroom? That would be funny to find out. Thank you for the call. Courtney, what's going on? How are you doing?

00:10:37 - 00:10:38 | Unknown:

Good, how are you?

00:10:38 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 1:

Courtney, do you have the same feeling that I do that Shannon's dog, Charlie, has a better life than you? Because that's what I'm starting to think.

00:10:47 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 5:

Most definitely.

00:10:48 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's kind of my feelings. What's going on? What did you want to say?

00:10:52 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 5:

My mom meal preps for her dog.

00:10:55 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh. You know, I mean, props to her.

00:11:00 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 5:

I mean, her dog is 19, so I know she's listening right now, so I'm probably going to get cussed out after this. But she meal prepped for her dog.

00:11:08 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 6:

Did you say the dog is 19?

00:11:10 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 5:

What did you say?

00:11:11 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 6:

Did you say that the dog is 19?

00:11:14 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, she's a little rat terrier. Wow.

00:11:17 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh.

00:11:18 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 1:

That's an amazing amount of years that you guys have had that dog. It's going to be horrible when, God forbid, something happens.

00:11:23 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 6:

Okay, wow.

00:11:24 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 1:

No, it's inevitable. I don't know if you know this, but not all dogs live forever. I saw that movie. I'm just saying, Courtney.

00:11:35 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 5:

I know, I know. She's getting up there. She's getting up there. That's why she nailed for us.

00:11:39 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I worry that when Luke goes off to college and Chelsea and I become empty nesters, that's going to be us. That's going to be our life. We're going to be meal prepping for Henry and Louie, our two dogs. You are. And we're going to start calling them our kids. That's going to be what our life is going to be. Your fur baby. Our first, oh, jeez, gosh. Dustin, what's happening? Not much.

00:11:59 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 2:

How are you guys doing this morning?

00:12:00 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 1:

Good, Dustin. What's going on?

00:12:03 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 2:

Not much. Hey, I texted in, I have eight cats and a dog, and literally I get up between 4 and 4.30 in the morning, and I have six out of eight of my cats that meet me at my bedroom door waiting for their morning kisses and love. Oh, Lord. Eight cats, huh? So is there a lovely lady in your life? Oh, yeah. I have my wife, and we have five boys all together. Who do you kiss more? Well, honestly, because my wife works second shift and I work first shift, I probably kiss the animals more than her. Just because I see them more.

00:12:42 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 1:

That kind of seems like it would be okay. I don't know. I don't know. I find it very odd when I see that people, like, will kiss their animals and then they don't go and wipe them, you know, like, wash their mouths or anything like that. Like, I think that there's just something gross about that, you know? It's kind of like when you go and you pick up your dog's duty, even if you got that bag on your hand, and then you go eat yourself. Like, boy, that sounded really weird. But then you go and eat and you don't wash your hands, you know?

00:13:15 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know what you mean. And our cats get bathed once a month, and my dog gets a bath every two weeks. Wow. So my animals are very clean.

00:13:24 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 1:

Okay. I love that. Animals are very clean. Shannon.

00:13:28 - 00:13:33 | Speaker 4:

You can wash a child once a month and go, it's very clean. Yeah, that's right. What?

00:13:35 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 1:

Not you, Shannon. Listener Shannon makes home-cooked meals for her dog every night.

00:13:41 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 4:

um i get together once well every week once a week i will literally get out 14 mason jars and i separate his meals up into a breakfast and into a dinner he gets for breakfast you know his meat eggs cheese oatmeal and then every fruit that he can have like cherries blueberries red And then for dinner, he gets the other half of the hamburger meat.

00:14:10 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 6:

I literally had Kix mixed with Cocoa Puffs for lunch yesterday.

00:14:13 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 1:

Her animal eats more fruit and vegetables than we all do, guys. Is this another animal that's 19 years old, too?

00:14:23 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 4:

No, he's only seven. He's a 103-pound pit bull. I actually went to the vet, and the vet said, what can you feed him? And when I told the vet what I said to my dog, I had left out the grain part. And she looked at me, and she's like, well, what about his grain? I said, oh, yeah, he's back in there, too. So it just gave me the justification that I'm feeding him right.

00:14:44 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:

It's amazing. Your dog is healthier than anyone on this show. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. You can go, dog. Take care of yourself. Last call from Jamie, and then you can go back to eating whatever food you want.

00:15:00 - 00:15:18 | Speaker 4:

wanted to eat after this topic what's going on jamie they say that dogs do have a healing mouth that you know when you have a wound that if a dog licks it it's supposed to heal it so dogs lick their balls i don't know if you know that did you know that dogs lick their privates which i'm not
