I have type 2 diabetes, but I manage it well. It's a little pill with a big story to tell. I take one's daily Jardians at each day's start.

00:01:13 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 3:

And for adults with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease, Jardians can lower the risk of cardiovascular death, too. Prescription Jardians, empagliflozin, 10 or 25 milligram tablets, are used to lower blood sugar along with diet and exercise in adults with type 2 diabetes. Jardians is not for use to lower blood sugar in people with type 1 diabetes and not for people with type 2 diabetes who have severe kidney disease. Serious side effects include increased ketones in blood or urine and infection between and around the anus and genitals. Both may be fatal. Severe allergic reactions, dehydration, urinary tract or genital yeast infections in men and women and low blood sugar. Stop taking and tell your doctor right away if you have nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, tiredness, rash, swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing. Tell your doctor about lightheadedness, weakness, fever, pain, tenderness, redness or swelling between the anus and genitals. You may have increased risk for lower limb loss. Call your doctor right away if you have new pain or tenderness, sores, ulcers, or infection in your legs or feet. 00:02:15 - 00:02:25 | Speaker 6:

Shannon, we're going to start off here real quick. Shannon, you've got to tell the story. So you went to a, is it a friend of Lucy's mom's house or something like that, right?

00:02:25 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 4:

So, so Luz is starting a new school in the fall and she's trying to get to know people. I'm trying to get to know people so that I have friends at, you know, to hang out with too at school events. But she met this little girl and the, the, the mom invited us over to their house to have dinner and swim in their pool, which was really nice. But I don't, I don't know this family at all. So, um, I always like to bring something if I'm going to somebody's house and usually the standard is a bottle of wine so i grab a bottle of wine to get ready to bring with me um to this dinner and i like throw a little ribbon around it as i always do and i set it aside for when we were about to leave and then i had a thought i don't know this mom at all and so i'm thinking what if what if she doesn't drink i walk in present her with a bottle of wine and And that could be very uncomfortable and or offensive, depending on what the situation is.

00:03:23 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 6:

Do you have to ask people ahead of time or just assume or is it or is it offensive if maybe she's a recovering alcoholic or something?

00:03:32 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 4:

And so I'm saying this out loud and Lucy goes, Mom, do you want me to text Avery and ask her if her mom drinks?

00:03:37 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 6:

Did she do it?

00:03:38 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 4:

I'm like, I don't think that that's really appropriate.

00:03:41 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 6:

So she's got it. What she's got to do is does your mom and then do like the emoji of a white glass.

00:03:46 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, the champagne glasses. It's funny.

00:03:49 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 6:

I feel like nowadays there's not a lot of people that do drink. I know it sounds weird to say that it's just nowadays, but I feel like everybody's doing some kind of edibles or something. That'd be crazy if you showed up with some edibles, though. Can you do that? That's the line, bro. No, but can you? I mean, literally, it's legal. Like, wine is legal, right? I mean, would that be a fun little gift? Show up with some edibles, some brownies? Yeah.

00:04:13 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 1:

Nah.

00:04:14 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 6:

Or not show up with, you know, like, you bring up, like, a care package. Like, that's a truly a care package. And a selectment of treats. Yeah. Just make sure the kids don't get any. How many here, by noise, who would rather have the wine? Make some noise if you like the wine. You're my girl way in the back. Make some noise if you'd like us to bring some edibles or some party. The edibles have it. This guy wants shrooms. I mean, this guy is like, go for it. He goes, you know it. uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 has that ever happened to you where you brought something

00:04:47 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 1:

and they were like oh i i don't drink or well like mojo you you gluten i know people bring

00:04:54 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

like cheese colors yeah that's probably the same type of thing well it but it's funny and i try not to say anything because

00:05:00 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 3:

They don't want to make somebody feel bad or whatever, but I'll go, oh, thanks so much. And wine's another one. I'm not a big wine person, but people come to my house and they get wine. The funny thing is I was called rude for doing this. People will bring stuff to my house, and I know we're not going to drink it just because of, like, Chelsea's tequila and I'm bourbon. And I'll be like, hey, why don't you guys take this back? Chelsea says it's rude.

00:05:25 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 5:

You cannot do that, bro. That is rude. You cannot do that. It is? Yeah, just bring it in to work the next morning. That's insane. I got you.

00:05:29 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, I should do that Put it on our little mini bar in the back But I feel like that sometimes There's people that are gracious about it They're actually like, oh, that's great, thanks a lot This is really nice Just put it in a cellar

00:05:43 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 5:

And then next time Mojo Rich, you got a cellar I don't have a cellar Put it wherever you keep your alcohol And then the next time you throw a party, just bring it up You don't gotta buy as much alcohol

00:05:53 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 3:

I don't have a cellar, I have a wine room No, but Can I tell you, though, Brian Reif brought a very, very, very, very nice bottle for Chelsea and I. And Brian owns all the Planet Fitnesses. Any Planet Fitness members here? Planet Fitness?

00:06:10 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 5:

Judgment free.

00:06:11 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 3:

Judgment free, exactly. So Brian brought it, and I think that he was wanting me to serve it at that time. And I was thinking to myself, I will be re-gifting this to the next house that I go to.

00:06:23 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 4:

I'll get it for my birthday. That's right.

00:06:25 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

This is what usually happens.

00:06:26 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 3:

Did you guys ever hear the story about the time that I gave Shannon the same bottle that she gave me, and I didn't realize it? She wrote her name on there. I didn't even realize she took a Sharpie marker and put Shannon on it.

00:06:38 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 5:

Like, happy, I don't know, 49th birthday, Mojo.

00:06:41 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and it literally signed it Shannon. I didn't even see it on there. And I go, hey, Shannon, happy birthday. And she goes, this is the wine bottle I gave you.

00:06:48 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 5:

She knows she likes it.

00:06:49 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Jack, what's up, Jack? What's going? Jack, first caller of the morning, guys.

00:06:53 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

It's Jack. Hey, good morning. What's up, Jack? Good morning, good morning. No, good. How are you guys doing?

00:07:01 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

We're doing okay, Jack. We're wondering, should Shannon call and say, hey, I'm addicted to wine and I don't want to be over there unless we're going to drink. What should she do?

00:07:12 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

No, we have friends who bring over wine all the time, and I do not regret wine. They bring it over, I happily take it, and then I happily re-gift it after they leave every time.

00:07:22 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 3:

You're a mojo. That is. By the way, that's honestly genius. And you know what my favorite is? When they bring it over in a fun bag. Because then I got the bag to re-gift to. Yeah.

00:07:32 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 5:

See, I screw you because I write on the bottle. I know.

00:07:35 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 3:

She writes on the bottle, and I hate when people write on the card, too, that's attached to the little bag, too. Y'all are lazy. Yeah.

00:07:43 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 5:

There's no thought to that. You're just giving them the exact same gift they gave to you?

00:07:46 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, I'm not giving it to them. I'm giving it to somebody else. Okay, that's fair. Yeah.

00:07:50 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 5:

Never mind. By the way, this lady drank. So all was good. It's a perfect good. Yeah, I'm going to like this, Mom.

00:07:56 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 3:

This is going to be a good school for Lucy. Lucy, we don't judge schools based on their reading levels and math levels. We base it based on the parents. Can the parents party? What's up, Alan? How you doing?

00:08:07 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 4:

Good. So I had some people come over for a fire, and they had went in the fridge. And when they came out, I had immediately told them, put that back. They had already opened it. It was a 100-milligram drink.

00:08:21 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

Wow, 100-milligram drink. Was it a purchase concoction that you bought, or did you make it yourself?

00:08:30 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I got it from the dispensary.

00:08:33 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 3:

Wow, don't touch the good stuff, huh? That's interesting. That's a big one.

00:08:37 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 4:

The bad thing is that they make it so infused that it's delicious, but they'll make it taste like grape pop or orange popping. You don't even taste the infused. You just taste the flavor.

00:08:50 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 3:

Now you're talking. You can make transfusions with those things, man.

00:08:53 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 5:

You wake up on the floor.

00:08:55 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 3:

Man. Yeah, be careful. That's the good stuff. That's the stuff that will knock you on your ass. What's up, Michelle? Hi.

00:09:02 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Well, I, like Shannon, would always bring a bottle of wine. I went to a new person's home that was invited to dinner. I brought the bottle of wine, as usual, and lo and behold, they don't drink. They were very highly offended and voiced their offense at that. Like, how would I bring alcohol to somebody I don't even know? So I switched to bringing three wick candles. Nice one. You know, I spent some money on these candles, and I went to another person's house who was now allergic to all smells. Just stick to gift cards. Well, now I bring charcuterie boards. So that's where I'm at now That's a good one

00:09:49 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

That's a lot of work though You're invited over to our house anytime I laugh by the way at the candle thing Because candles is a personal preference Because sometimes

00:10:00 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 6:

the sense of can you think are great are not the greatest but uh joey what's up joey how you doing we're at gordon chevrolet for our big broadcast today pretty good that's better than me i'm

00:10:10 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 5:

sitting in my parking lot at work so oh man well hey one more day till the weekend exactly what's going on my work week just started but no i wanted to say to shannon be who you are joey

00:10:22 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 6:

I'm sorry.

00:10:25 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 5:

She's trying to be positive.

00:10:27 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 6:

Joey's life is miserable today.

00:10:30 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 4:

All right. Yeah. No, I was saying be who you are, Shannon. You love wine. If they don't love wine or like wine, then maybe they shouldn't be your friend.

00:10:39 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 6:

You know what? You should judge your friends based on if they're winos. Thanks. Absolutely, Joey. Joey, are you a wine guy?

00:10:47 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 4:

I do like some wine, but if somebody comes over and they bring a bottle of wine that I don't like, It's not about what they brought. It's about the fact that they brought a gift for you and just appreciate it. And just like a lot of people have said, thanks, I appreciate it. Take the gift. And then if you don't like it, re-gift it to somebody else.

00:11:06 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. And I say this. I said it yesterday on the air. Shannon is an excellent gift giver and never comes empty-handed. I only invite her over for that reason. That's right. You know there's going to be something. I love the people that come over to the house, and they not only get you a gift for that day, but they give you something for, like, the kids and things like that?

00:11:24 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 1:

I don't have friends like that.

00:11:26 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 6:

I don't know.

00:11:27 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 1:
