Hey guys, Bobby Bones here, host of The Bobby Bones Show. I'm always tired because I wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning, but it's all worth it because I get to hang out with all my friends and my studio. We share our lives. We look for as much good in the world as we possibly can with Tell Me Something Good, and we talk through the biggest news stories of the day, and also your biggest and favorite country artists are always stopping by. On the Gulf Coast, check us out on 95KSJ, and lock us in as a preset on the free iHeartRadio app today.

00:00:59 - 00:01:14 | Speaker 5:

So I drank, and then I realized, I'm like, I think I've had this before where I had drinks, went to bed at 11 o'clock, and then woke up in the morning at 3.30 to go to work, and I still felt like I had alcohol in my system. Like, you know what I mean? Like, I don't think I slept enough off to get rid of the alcohol.

00:01:14 - 00:01:18 | Speaker 4:

Those are some of my favorite shows I've done here. Well, the problem, though, is I've got to drive.

00:01:19 - 00:01:26 | Speaker 3:

See, you do well in those situations. I do not. I get very quiet when I'm hungover. Really? Yeah, it does not translate well when you're a radio.

00:01:26 - 00:01:30 | Speaker 5:

But I'm not talking hangover. I haven't even had time to get the hangover. I'm still drunk.

00:01:31 - 00:01:32 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's going to be a real fun show.

00:01:32 - 00:01:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so, but no, so I had a couple cocktails. I went to bed. Everything is good. Chelsea, on the other hand, I don't know, because she was moaning this morning when I was, and it wasn't from any kind of good moaning, but she was, when I left this morning, I was like, is she okay? She's like, oh, oh, yeah, she was struggling.

00:01:50 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 4:

Is she a lightweight, or does she have more to drink than you do?

00:01:52 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 5:

No, she definitely, I think, had a little bit more, but she's also, you know, she's lost a bunch of weight so she's uh she drank like she was drinking you know for uh you know having a little bit more weight on her and honestly i was like oh boy she looks like she's gonna struggle

00:02:06 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 4:

today is that a real thing like do heavier people can they drink more i think that you're i think

00:02:11 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 5:

that for me personally a year and a half ago might be or whatever year and so many months ago before i started taking one of those weight loss shots and i think the shot speeds it up i could handle more alcohol right now i feel like two old fashions are like six old fashions yeah it's not good it's dangerous yes double shots yeah like i they say that these shots cause you to not want alcohol i have not experienced that i don't want sweets but i still like the idea of getting buzzed a little bit yeah a lot of a lot of my buddies are doing zins and they're doing uh they're just doing edible still and i still like uh the buzz of an out of a little bit of alcohol So we got to drink and then it's hot yesterday. So the first off, let me say this. The storm that I witnessed yesterday outside my house, I literally thought that we were going to lose power and we did not. Thank God. A ton of people, though, by me lost power.

00:03:07 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 3:

I saw it was crazy. I was trying to take a nap during that time and I finally got up because it was so loud. The rain in the branch, the tree branches coming down to my roof. But you were talking about fireworks in your neighborhood. I literally saw something explode. So the majority of my neighborhood does not have power.

00:03:23 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 5:

I don't, I still don't know how I do, but it's crazy.

00:03:26 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 3:

It was nuts that storm.

00:03:27 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 5:

I mean, first off the wind was going or the rain was going sideways.

00:03:31 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 3:

It legitimately was going sideways.

00:03:33 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 5:

And then there's, then there's a water spout. So I live, live on a lake and you could see the water from the lake mixing with the rain. And it was one of those, it looked like a tornado thing that was outside. I wanted to videotape it, but honestly, I'm going to tell you this, I was so freaking freaked out. I didn't grab my phone fast enough to be able to take it.

00:03:52 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 4:

Either I was just so oblivious to what was taking place outside my doors and windows and I didn't realize it, or down here in downtown Detroit, it wasn't as bad as what I'm hearing happen in your areas.

00:04:03 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I don't know. It is funny how certain areas of town get it, certain areas don't get it. And then the other thing is the heat. The heat has been so bad. I literally, not going to lie to you guys, it has been so bad. But it feels nice to go outside and not have it be. 80s is nice.

00:04:18 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 3:

80s feels cool.

00:04:20 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 5:

And the heat was so bad. Like, I'm seeing people, like, their mood changing, too, and acting weird and stuff like that.

00:04:27 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 3:

Can I make a PSA, though, very quickly while we're talking about the heat?

00:04:30 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 5:

It is time now for a public service announcement on the Mojo in the Morning Show.

00:04:35 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Unless you are a child or if you have to work outside for, you know, a good chunk. If you're if your job, like if you're working on the road crew or something as an adult, adults cannot wear those neck fans. You look so ridiculous with them. Have you seen? I feel like I see so many. Like if you're a kid and you're at the zoo or Cedar.

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 4:

point or a sporting activity that you're participating in totally legitimate yeah but the adults that are just like walking around with the neck fans you know what they remind those

00:05:09 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 3:

things remind me of it's so silly they remind me of do you remember when headphones for cell phones were like the you'd wear them around your you'd wear the thing around your neck and then you'd

00:05:18 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 2:

have the no no i know what he's talking about but we're not doing that no but you remember they

00:05:24 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 3:

people had those things and they would wear them like around their neck and they would have like these things around their neck is almost kind of like then they became the one ear. The blue zoo. Yeah. Wes and I,

00:05:33 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 4:

I saw so many people walking, just walking around with them yesterday. Yeah. And I said to Wes, this to me is the new sunglasses on the back of the head. You look like a douche.

00:05:44 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 2:

Is it kind of like, is it in the same vein of people who wear their neck pillows in the airport? You know what? Those are kind of, that's the same thing too.

00:05:52 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, probably. You know what I mean? Like strap it to your bag until you get on the plane.

00:05:56 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

I think the neck pillow people, the neck pillow people are pretty douchey, too.

00:06:01 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 2:

Like, around the airport, what are you doing?

00:06:02 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah, the people that, you know, I guess there must be comfort to the whole thing. Dispensate!

00:06:10 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 4:

Again, if you're working on the side of the road, you get dispensation.

00:06:14 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 3:

By the way, I just looked up the neck fans. Do you know how much those things are?

00:06:18 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 4:

No.

00:06:18 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 3:

They're not cheap. I was looking right here. Best Buy has the neck fan for $279.

00:06:25 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 4:

Holy crap. There's no way they're not.

00:06:26 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 3:

that expensive. If you're a neck fan person, I mean, they've got one here for $29, but I guarantee you that one's not going to fit around my neck.

00:06:32 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 2:

That's probably the one my mom bought me. Oh, really? She bought one like last year. I never opened it. Because I was looking like, where am I going to wear these two? I know.

00:06:40 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 3:

It looks funny. If you're a neck fan person, would you call us up and tell us? Or what's something to add to it? Kev had a great one with the pillows, the travel pillows that people like to wear. And then Shannon's other analogy is great to the sunglasses on the back of the head yeah what's up uh carrie wants to make a comment uh

00:07:00 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 5:

what's up carrie how you doing uh i'm doing wonderful mojo i just wanted to let you know don't you know that old fashions and martinis are like boobs they're only need two of them

00:07:12 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 3:

they're like booze is that what you said or boobs oh oh boobs they're like boobs

00:07:17 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 5:

I like it.

00:07:23 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

That's actually kind of funny. Although, I'll be honest with you. If I had four or five boobs, I'd be fine with it. I think I might actually have a couple.

00:07:31 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 5:

Well, that's a guy thing.

00:07:33 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Hey, question for you. You've seen these neck fans that Shannon's talking about, right?

00:07:38 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:07:39 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 3:

Would you ever wear...

00:07:40 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 5:

I have a way cheaper one. I actually have a cheaper one that they wanted to make fun of me. It's actually like a little necklace thing that has a fan on the bottom that I wore to a concert. And they were laughing at me because I was blowing hot air. You know, with hot airs blowing.

00:07:56 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 3:

What do you think of the people that wear the frozen necklace thing? You ever see the people that have, it's almost like a towel around them. Oh, like a frozen towel?

00:08:07 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 5:

Everybody has to do themselves, right? You do you.

00:08:10 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

You do you. Although we're judging. We're still in a PSA right now.

00:08:14 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 5:

I know you're judging. I'm trying to not judge and have a, you know, trying to not be judgy.

00:08:18 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 3:

You just judged me on my drinking, so I just want you to know that.

00:08:21 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 5:

I know. I know, but I learned that the hard way. A friend told me, don't you know, Kerry, martinis are like boobs.

00:08:27 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

There you go. Thank you, Kerry. I'm going to remember that. Have a great day.

00:08:30 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 2:

That's a good one.

00:08:32 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 3:

So the one that I was mentioning, they have them where they're like frozen, and they look like they're like the, you ever see like the snakes? It's like a snake around your neck or something like that. people will wear those things they'll put them in the freezer what's up stacy how you doing

00:08:47 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 5:

hey i'm good are you a neck fanner you guys this morning we're great i'm a neck fanner only because this heat because of menopause so shannon i was a little okay i give you dispensation too yeah

00:09:00 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 3:

okay by the way uh menopause really took off on our show the conversation i had the other day on the air about coasting uh it got taken by some menopause perimenopause there were so many people that were sharing that thing on social media what's up michael how you doing hey i'm doing

00:09:21 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 6:

good how are you good what's going on hey so i'm personally not an exam person but um i work in a restaurant and some of our people that work back of house swear by them really they love it yeah

00:09:34 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 4:

for some reason they can't listen to what you're saying they wear them in the back of house not in public there's a difference they're working i get it i wouldn't be caught dead up front in one

00:09:43 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 3:

you know thank mike thanks michael by the way the back of the house people are in the hottest part of that place man those restaurant workers what's up kane so i worked as a commercial roofer

00:09:55 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 6:

for the past year and it gets really hot on those roofs we're laying out

00:10:00 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 3:

black material, you know, and I thought, hey, it might be a good idea to get some neck fans. I told my girlfriend that I was thinking about ordering one. She said, no, you are not wearing one of those.

00:10:11 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 4:

I don't care how hot you are. I'll never sleep with you with one of those things around your neck, right? Yeah. You pass out and die. At least you'll look great. That's my kind of a girl. Brandy, what's going on?

00:10:28 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you guys? Good morning.

00:10:30 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 4:

We're good. Brandy's in the factory, guys. Brandy, do you wear a neck fan?

00:10:34 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 3:

Yes. I do. Well, first time on time. Hey, Brandy on the phone. Thank you. Yes, I do. I work in a factory. I work mornings. And even in the morning, you know, the 100-degree heat with the machines, everything on, I am, you know, pushing 40. but I still will wear the neck pants. I'll wear the cooling things around me. I will, you know, use that company fridge.

00:11:09 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 4:

Wait, wait, wait, wait. What do you mean use the company fridge?

00:11:13 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 2:

Are you just standing in front of you? You've got to stick your head in that freezer. Didn't you used to do that as a kid?

00:11:17 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God, of course. In a freezer? Can you imagine being a factory worker in this stuff?

00:11:21 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 2:

No, you can't. Kenyatta, who we love, we talk about, said yesterday she was in the factory and it was 106 degrees inside of there.

00:11:32 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. You can't take anything off. Sam's upset with you, Shannon. What's up, Sam?

00:11:37 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Sam.

00:11:41 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 4:

Sam?

00:11:41 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Sam wears a neck fan. I can tell by... Is that the neck fan going on? No, I can just tell by the car.

00:11:46 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 4:

What did you want to say to Shannon?

00:11:49 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 3:

Y'all need to leave us alone. I wear it for menopause. Hot glasses is up. You know what?

00:11:55 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 2:

Okay, you were listening, Sam. I gave dispensation for menopausal women.

00:11:58 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 4:

Because she knows that it's happening. It's going to be happening soon.

00:12:01 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you got to take it back.

00:12:03 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 4:

Shannon's going to be like me with everything that I go on.

00:12:06 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 2:

We don't have that fan. Yeah.

00:12:09 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 4:

By the way, Shannon just doomed herself. I just want you to know that, Sam. It's going to spur on, and she's going to be walking around.

00:12:15 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 3:

She's going to have a neck fan. I love you all, and I'm a first-time caller. Yeah, I love you, Shannon.

00:12:22 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 4:
