sentimental very sentimental nail clippers okay yes that's that is what this is about um so yesterday there actually it was the day before yesterday that this happened i walked into my bathroom and after work and there was a pair of like kids nail clippers on my bathroom counter and it honestly looked to me like something that Smith had when he was a baby and kept in the depths of the crap that he keeps in his room and it they like magically reappeared you know and he started using them and it also looked like my dog had chewed them up like they were clearly baby nail clippers but they had bite marks all over them so I'm thinking I don't even know what what the heck this where this came from and I tossed him in the garbage fast forward to yesterday and Wes and I are like getting ready at the end of the night to go to bed and he was like where are my nail clippers and I'm thinking are you freaking serious and so I said oh my god I didn't realize those were yours I thought they were smiths um and it looked like the dog had chewed him. So I threw him in the garbage. You guys, I thought he was going to start crying. He freaked out. It turns out that they were his kids when they were little and Wes has kept them all these years and still used them for himself. So they were a super sentimental item for Wes.

And I'm like, dude. And you had never seen them before that day? No, he keeps like one of those,

I don't know what you call it, like a man travel bag full of all of his like deodorant, his razor his hair balm whatever all of that stuff like in a bag so i see him carry the bag around i have never in my life noticed these nail clippers before and so i said he's like please tell me you didn't throw them away i'm like i threw them away i thought they were garbage there's me last night in the cold digging through the trash bags and my garbage to try to figure out which one these nail clippers are in how often are you going to use this against him like every time there's trash you're like what's the attachment to this paper plate seriously But I did not know that there was such a thing as sentimental nail clippers.

But you have to admit, though, that that's kind of a that's an amazing story. If this was for Smith or Lucy, you would have felt the same.

No, I get it. I truly felt bad. I had no idea. But I'm like, dude, these are like raggedy. They're on their last leg. Is there a point where it goes too far ever, though? Because I know a girl who kept all of her kids teeth. And that to me, like, sentimental and weird. The tooth fairy leaves some teeth at our house for us to keep every once in a while.

he's a great dad we all see how great of a dad Wes is but this is something that as a dad you don't really get a lot of sentimental things to keep it's usually the moms that keep all this stuff or they're the ones that kind of keep this stuff together so for him this is cool that he still wants this thing and it's actually good that you guys were able to still find it oh my imagine if garbage day was yeah and it ended up going away yes um texter here says uh this is cute And Texter here says that they kept their kids bite marks and they would keep pencils and pens and things like that.

OK, so that's what this was because I asked him what the bite marks were and he said they were it was from the kids. And so that was part of like the sentiment, you know, of this.

I did the same thing. I kept my kids in belt record. I kept a little blood pressure cup that they put on them. I even went as far as keeping my kids' Band-Aids from their first shop.

And I have, like Shannon, I have the little box for each one of my three kids, and each one of them has their own little, all their stuff in it, and they have the outfits from each one of their first holidays in there, so that way they can use them for when they have kids.

Aww. cake box and i literally cried because i had it ever since i was a teenager and i am now 50 something years old and i really loved it that much a knife it was so jagged pieces were missing and everything but that was my knife don't touch my knife i know i could cut like

Hey, my brother lost a tooth once, and we couldn't find it. Well, turns out my mom had put it in a Ziploc bag to keep it. And then one day back in the 90s, when my mom would make sandwiches and pack our lunches for him, I found the tooth in my sandwich. No, you did not. I did. True story. Oh, my goodness.

what'd you throw away oh my gosh so after we got home from the hospital you know new mom brain going on and i threw away a folder from the hospital that had my daughter's first footprints in it and I about lost it. So my husband, God bless him, spent an hour digging through the big garbage bin that you put out to the road. Oh, yeah. He dug through that whole thing until he saw what did. And I was so happy.

You need to take that stuff and frame it or scan it.

Put it in the baby book.

Morning. i i think my husband does this all the time to me and it's sentimental stuff every time uh one time it sounds weird but i had saved a doorknob from my dad's business after he passed away and i was gonna do something with it or do a treasure chest or something gone he threw it out and then uh same with uh after my dad's funeral uh my husband ended up throwing away a plant and and that was years later. And my mom's funeral, same thing. No, they looked dead.

Yeah. Do you think maybe you're a hoarder, and that's why he's saying this?

Yes. Well, it's actually my husband forced me to save it. So when you have a son and you get them circumcised, sometimes they put this little plastic ring on the tip of their boy bits. And my husband had me save that. Oh, God. No.
