That's my future bank account. Thank you very much. Mojo on the morning show. So got to talk to Shannon about this. I was watching your social media last night, and I saw on your story a picture of you. I knew you were at a spa, right? What's the spa that you go to?

00:04:51 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I was at Muse Med Spa in Troy.

00:04:53 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 5:

Muse Med Spa.

00:04:54 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

The best. Was that something that you had to put on your face that will...

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 2:

make your face look great because it looked like it was honestly scary. It was kind of a little, yeah.

00:05:07 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 3:

So I got a treatment done yesterday at Muse called Potenza, which is like microneedling. So it helps just kind of change the complexion of your skin and it helps with like acne scarring and helps you tighten your skin and minimize your pore size. It's a great treatment. But after you have it done, your face is red. It almost feels like you have a little bit of a sunburn. And so to make you feel better, Nadine, who did my treatment at Muse last night, put a cooling mask on me. And it feels so darn good because it has like this cold gel on it. And she said, you know, you might want to wear it home and just keep it on as long as you want. You had to walk out of there with that band? So I walked out of there with it on. I actually had Lucy with me last night. And so I was like, all right. So I get in the car and Lucy goes, Mom, are you seriously going to drive with that on? She's almost nine years old, by the way. And I said, yes, yes, I am because it feels good. And they told me that I need to. And I'm going to listen to anything that they tell me to do. So I drove down Big Beaver. And at every stoplight, Lucy was cracking up because she was like, Mom, people are scared of you.

00:06:20 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 1:

Right? You've got to call a car crash if I saw you next to me.

00:06:23 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I looked like Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs because it was like this white mask that covered. Didn't he wear a white mask?

00:06:31 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 1:

You're thinking of Jason, right? Jason. Or Jason. Yeah.

00:06:34 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I don't know. I looked terrifying. I couldn't even look at anybody at a red light.

00:06:40 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 1:

Steer right off the road if I saw you next to me.

00:06:43 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 3:

You got to do what you got to do.

00:06:45 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 2:

Explain to me sometimes these things that they do because Chelsea will do these too. Yeah. Where she'll go and she'll do these things and she'll put, like, weird stuff on her. And listen, I know that it obviously works. It looks, you know, she looks good and stuff. Well, and it's not surgery.

00:07:01 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 3:

So you're choosing something that's not, you know, it's not invasive. So I'm always going to opt for that over.

00:07:06 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 2:

I feel like it's funny. It changes every single day. And there's some new latest and greatest thing that somebody's doing. And they make you, like, you know, rub, like, peanut butter or something on you.

00:07:18 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 3:

I was not rubbing peanut butter anywhere.

00:07:20 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

I feel like somebody comes up with this stuff and goes, well, let's see if we can get somebody to do this. Because people will do anything to make themselves look younger. It's wild.

00:07:29 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 3:

Well, just to, I mean, especially when it's the skin on your face. You know, you want it to be nice. But I know so many people who've had this done, including somebody here at the radio station, and her skin's phenomenal, so I wanted to try it.

00:07:39 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 2:

So you decided you were going to do it and drive home. Isn't the thing that you're supposed to do is never embarrass your kids?

00:07:45 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, are you joking? especially now like third grade let me tell you i thought that i was a really cool mom we had luce had a half day last week and so we went to this place out on the east side called urban air with a bunch of other kids from her school um and i saw that that she was like talking to this little boy and so i pulled her aside and i was like oh who's that little boy that you were talking to she put her forehead against mine she goes mom please just stop talking you are embarrassing me. Walk away and don't say anything.

00:08:17 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And you told us that you've actually embarrassed her one time with a little boy too, right? When you went in her class, they were like...

00:08:24 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

Well, I want to know who all the kids are so that when she comes home and she talks about these kids, I can put a face to a name. So I always ask.

00:08:30 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 2:

It's so funny. It's funny how...

00:08:32 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 3:

I need the hot gossip from the eight-year-old. Megan, when she gets off the bus, I'm like, what's the tea from today? Tell me. Everything. I know I'm annoying and

00:08:40 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

embarrassing. And I will not stop. Did your parent do the same thing, too? No. So nobody in your family did that? It wasn't something you learned? Because in my family, I embarrass the kids, and Chelsea's the one that keeps them from ever having to have therapy later in their life, which they need. You're the one that's embarrassing.

00:08:58 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 3:

Therapy's healthy for everybody.

00:09:00 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

You're the one embarrassing them, and then is their dad the more he doesn't embarrass?

00:09:04 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Andrew's so embarrassing, too. Oh, yeah.

00:09:06 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 2:

But does he embarrass them about the boys and stuff like that?

00:09:08 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 3:

Not about that, but I think he, you know. I do. He'll embarrass them about other stuff.

00:09:14 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 1:

They get so embarrassed. Cecily was talking to a boy in the pickup line the other day, and I don't ever get out of the car. I always let her walk to the car and open the door or whatever. I got out and walked up and walked right up to him. Hey, guys, what are you doing? Dad, what are you doing? Oh, I was just coming to say hi. Who's this boy? And she's like, this is Grayson. I think his name is. I'm like, oh, Grayson. And I started talking to him.

00:09:36 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 2:

See, you can't even say it like that. Yeah. You know what you should do Shannon You should go pick her up at school With that mask on that you had on your face She would die

00:09:46 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 3:

She'd probably walk right past my car She would pretend that she'd get in the car with somebody else Who are you?

00:09:52 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Not my mom You know what you need to be? You need to be the mom that dropped their kids off at school In their pajamas

00:09:59 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 3:

Well my mom My mom did do that. If we missed the bus, one, my sisters and I were terrified because my mom would just be pissed at us that she would have to get out of bed. And she would drive us in her pink bathroom. I mean, I still remember. She did not care.

00:10:16 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 1:

Or the mom that walks around with just her bra on. That was one of the kids down the street from us. Their mom would actually walk around with just the bra on. Oh, my gosh, really? Oh, yeah. Yeah, and it wasn't even like a sports bra. I was like, yeah, but she was like always like, you know, I don't know. It was interesting. She'd sit on her front porch. Like they had a porch there. They had a house that had like one of those like old neighborhood-y type looking porches. And she would sit out in a chair in the front. In her bra? And she would be in her bra. And her poor kids, man. I just remember driving by and it would be like, oh, Mrs. Kapanowski's out again.

00:10:51 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 3:

And then you drove by again. Yeah. And then again.

00:10:54 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 1:

No.

00:10:54 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 3:

Unfortunately

00:10:56 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 1:

Well not fortunately Fortunately for me Mrs. Kapanowski She wasn't a looker But yeah

00:11:03 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 3:

But she was always

00:11:05 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 1:

She gets sweaty You know how when you get sweaty As a guy you just take your shirt off And you'd be outside I don't because I've got big old tees But Mrs. Kapanowski She'd be outside sweating And she'd go And she'd take her shirt off She'd just have her bra on. And I thought it was, at first, I thought it was like a bathing suit top. And then I realized, I don't think that's a bathing suit top that she's wearing there. How can we have you, how can we have Lucy embarrass you? That's the thing I want to do. I want Lucy.

00:11:41 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 3:

She's actually coming to the station today. Because they, they're on spring break this week. And we, you know, like, I mean, I've just, we've been home all week. And so they asked, can we come in at the end of the week? and sit in for a couple minutes of the show and I said, yeah, fine.

00:11:57 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 2:

So guess what we're doing. We're going to send Shannon out of the room and we're going to interview Lucy and find out some secrets.

00:12:03 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 1:

Let's have Lucy and Smith imitate their mom when she's mad.

00:12:07 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God.

00:12:08 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 1:

Because we all know that you-

00:12:09 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 3:

All I do is yell. I'm a yeller for sure.

00:12:11 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 1:

You get to a point where all of a sudden the fuse goes and then you are just-

00:12:15 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 3:

You guys have seen the cray.

00:12:16 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it goes a little nuts.

00:12:17 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 3:

I will F you up, bitch! I don't say that to them, but I do raise my voice.

00:12:22 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Heather?

00:12:23 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 5:

hi good morning i always had the mommy jammy drop off you did it yeah constantly so you were you the

00:12:34 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 1:

mom in the jammies or was your mom the one that did the jammies oh my mom mom would do my mom and

00:12:39 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 5:

what did your mom look like in jammies uh the i'm pretty sure like the antichrist did you ask her not to did you tell her to stop all the time i was like mom just dropped me off a block before the school. She's like, no, you're being dropped off at the door because you're late. And I'm like,

00:12:57 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 1:

thanks, Mom. Would she also roll the window down and say goodbye, honey?

00:13:02 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Have a good day, dear. And I'm like, I hate you right now.

00:13:08 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 1:

My thing is my sons hated that I always wanted to give them kisses in front of their friends. You know what I mean? Like, I'd always try to kiss them, so they would get really upset if I tried to kiss

00:13:15 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 5:

them. I hope that. Well, and the worst part is my mom was like the neighborhood mom, so like all of my friends were like, hey, Mom, what's up and i'm like don't acknowledge her ignore ignore ignore and i thought she would

00:13:28 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 1:

look like the ugliest pajamas on purpose keep listening because we're gonna have uh lucy shannon's daughter do a little uh payback on her mom okay oh perfect i love this one the uh the caller i don't know if they'll get on the phone we're texting them right now Oh, here she is. Sherry, hi.

00:13:49 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you?

00:13:50 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 1:

Good. What would your mom wear?

00:13:52 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 4:

My mom would wear the shiny spandex pants, the big oversized sweatshirt with the neck cutout, so, you know, hung over one shoulder with the bra strength, you know? Oh, yeah. That's hot. I'd wear that now. I know. I'm not a small woman.

00:14:07 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh. So she showed up. Would your friends ever say anything, or were you too embarrassed to even ask?

00:14:12 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 4:

No, I didn't. We tried not to have her come to the school at all. Yeah, it was horrible. that's so mean

00:14:17 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 1:

thank you for the call

00:14:21 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 2:

I never embarrassed the kids at school or at any of their events I was always very cautious of trying to you know girls are fragile and I don't want them but everything we did on the radio was embarrassing to them and they wouldn't listen to the show but they would hear about it when they got into the third grade Lucas said you dressed like a girl today and you were wearing tights and a wig that was great Yeah, so the embarrassing stuff would get to them and hit them, like, sideswipe them because they didn't even know it happened until somebody asked them about it.

00:14:55 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

They would ask what you did for a living with the girls say, he's a pharmacist.

00:14:59 - 00:15:18 | Speaker 2:
