2026 it's mojo in the morning show good to have you guys here after a holiday weekend it's always nice to know that all of us have come back with the same amount of fingers and toes that we left with on friday although there are some injuries and we'll get into that in a second there was an injury over memorial day weekend anybody listening to the show ever been uh ever or did get injured over Memorial Day weekend if you have and you had to go see a doc or you had to go to the emergent care I always say to me I won't go to an urgent care because an urgent care you go to and they basically say you got to go to a hospital when the hospital is open

00:02:39 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 6:

it's the biggest waste of time

00:02:40 - 00:02:56 | Speaker 9:

I'm not going to say that I found a great urgent care I forgot where they at I feel like it's like I used to live over there it was like Tim and Schaefer right before the 696 freeway They held me down in there. I'll say that.

00:02:56 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 8:

Was it an urgent care or was it like one of those, I always love the backstreet pharmacies, like where you walk in and it's like, I can get you anything you want, but just don't say anything to anybody.

00:03:07 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 9:

No, they're good people over there.

00:03:09 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 8:

So Shannon is the one of all people. Shannon did a little Pure Michigan travel this weekend. And what ended up happening?

00:03:17 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 6:

For the first time in my life, I got poison ivy. You guys, it sucks so bad.

00:03:24 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 9:

Is it itchy?

00:03:25 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 6:

Well, so we went over to the west side of the state. My girlfriend has a house that's in between Holland and Saugatek. So we stayed there, but this house is in the woods. It is in the middle of nothing, which is so nice if you just want to, you know, reset and get in some outdoor time and all the kids were with us. My dad and my stepmom came. We brought one of the dogs. So here's the thing. I can't figure out how I, I was the one that got it because all the kids were the ones that were running through the woods and, you know, making forts and shooting pellet guns. I don't even know what the hell they were doing. Making bow and arrows. They built bonfires. I wore long sleeves pretty much the entire weekend because it was kind of chilly and I was not partaking in any of those activities yet on Friday night, I think it was, all of a sudden it felt like the circulation in my arm was being cut off. My arm felt tight, my right arm. And I went to the bathroom, and I changed into my pajamas, and I looked down, and I was like, holy crap. From my wrist up my neck was just this bright red rash.

00:04:35 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 8:

That's what poison ivy feels like? I would have thought I was having a heart attack or something like that.

00:04:39 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 6:

It did to me. It felt like my arm was, it almost felt like there was a rubber band in the crease of my arm where my elbow was.

00:04:46 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 9:

That's like an allergic reaction, too.

00:04:48 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

So that's what I thought. But I thought I was having an allergic reaction to like a medicine that I'm taking right now. Because remember, I wasn't feeling well last week. So I'm on some antibiotics. But yeah.

00:04:59 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 8:

Oh, jeez.

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 2:

sucked and then to deal with that all weekend and you know try to remember to not touch my face or itch it

00:05:05 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 3:

it's horrible so you can pass it like touching your face like if it's on your arms you can like rub your head and then yeah oh yeah it'll spread

00:05:13 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 2:

it'll spread and I just didn't want it on my face like great holiday weekend

00:05:20 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 4:

scratchy Holland Michigan Saga Talk get the Saga Talk scratchies It's pure Michigan.

00:05:31 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to touch Wes either in bed. So I'm like, well, there goes that. I don't want you to get it.

00:05:38 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 4:

Listen to the deal. That's so full of crap. Every guy would even be okay with getting it on their dong. Not him. What are you talking about?

00:05:45 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 2:

He was like, please stay away from me.

00:05:47 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 4:

There's not a married guy in this world, come on, that would not.

00:05:50 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 2:

Then he's cheating on me because he was like, please stay away from me.

00:05:53 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 4:

Because I'm going to tell you something. I would risk getting it on my privates if Chelsea was like, hey, do you want to have sex? I'd be like, absolutely.

00:06:03 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 2:

And then it spreads from your privates to your legs.

00:06:05 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 4:

Could you imagine if you got it on your privates? How would that be?

00:06:08 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 2:

My sister once got it in her eyes.

00:06:10 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 4:

Did she really? And she had to go to the hospital.

00:06:12 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she couldn't open her eyes. Poison Ivy.

00:06:13 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 4:

Poison Ivy. Real bad. Yeah, 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548 is our telephone number if you ever got the itchy and scratchy Poison Ivy. We want to hear where you got it. And then anybody get injured over the holiday weekend. I'm telling you, though, that is the worst. And why is it that you always get some kind of an injury like that on a weekend? It always happens on a weekend. It never happens on a Monday or Tuesday. Although you're never, I guess, on a Monday and Tuesday in the middle of the woods somewhere.

00:06:49 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 3:

I blame your friend, though, to be honest with you. My friend? I blame your friend because she needs to know where the poison ivy is on her property. Like she should have been like, hey, y'all, look out on the west because that's where the poison ivy is.

00:07:01 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 2:

She's surrounded by acres and acres and acres of woods on all four sides of the house.

00:07:05 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 4:

So you was deep in the woods.

00:07:05 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

00:07:06 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 4:

We know in our backyard, we know where the poison ivy is. Like I always tell people, hey, I wouldn't go into that because that's got some stuff that I wouldn't trust.

00:07:14 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 2:

I think it was the dog because I had Bo with me and the dog, we just kind of let roam. And so it was probably him when I picked him up to snuggle him or whatever. Can you get fleas? I don't know.

00:07:27 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 4:

Can a fleas pass to a human?

00:07:28 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

That dog got so many baths this weekend.

00:07:29 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 4:

Really? Oh, from getting dirty? Oh, God. Hey, Kelsey, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:07:36 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 1:

Hi, how are you?

00:07:37 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 4:

We're doing okay. What's going on? Shannon got the itchies and scratchies this weekend.

00:07:41 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 1:

Yes. So every time I go disc golfing with my boyfriend, I get poison ivy. I don't know if it's, like, I have to go, you know, chase my disc into the woods about every single time. So I'm always trekking through, you know, different bushes and stuff. But I'm just, like, bad at spotting it. So I actually have it right now because we went last weekend and I got it.

00:08:02 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 4:

Wow. So disc golfing, where's that? Where do you guys play?

00:08:08 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 1:

We go to Kensington. We go over to South Lion. There's one in Holly. So we kind of go all over the place.

00:08:15 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 4:

Okay. That takes some skill. I've heard that that's actually kind of fun. I've also heard, have you ever played soccer golfing at all? That's like a big deal, too, now, where people are.

00:08:23 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I've never heard of soccer golfing.

00:08:24 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 4:

People are playing, it's like a big hole, like a golf hole, and then people kick a soccer ball, and they basically play like they would play golf, but it's a big ball that you're just kicking instead of using a golf club with. I heard that's kind of fun.

00:08:38 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 1:

That sounds like so much fun. I might have to check that out.

00:08:40 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if we have anything around here, but I've seen some TikToks with it. Yeah, I know, the poison ivy. A bunch of my friends go to Kensington all the time. They live in the Brighton area. And to me, I always hear nothing but Poison Ivy. And I'm thinking to myself.

00:08:56 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's where we just went, and I just got it from there. So I was like, I don't want to go next time. It's miserable.

00:09:03 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 4:

It's crazy.

00:09:03 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, every time.

00:09:04 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 4:

Well, thank you for the call. We appreciate it.

00:09:06 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

You can go to Fox Hill if you want to do the foot golf.

00:09:09 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, really? Fox Hill, okay. Where's that at? I don't know. Fox Hill. It's in Plymouth. A couple of texters here saying poison ivy is at its peak right now because of the weather that we've been having. Watch out.

00:09:21 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 2:

That's really awesome.

00:09:22 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 4:

I didn't realize that. Isn't that funny? I know that my eyes and I've never really thought that I had any kind of allergies, but I know that the allergies have been bad. There's been so much pollen, you can see it.

00:09:36 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 3:

They don't have much poison ivy in the city, though. Yeah. I feel like that's probably why I never got it. You don't get outside like that for in the woods.

00:09:46 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 4:

If you get the itchies and scratchies, it's a different itchies and scratchies.

00:09:49 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 3:

If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure she has the herbs. Right. That's the wrong kind of itch.

00:09:56 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 4:

How was everybody's holiday? Everybody have a good day.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 5:

Good holiday weekend.

00:10:01 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 4:

Well, I went three for three yesterday. I told Josiah when we woke up, I want to go see Lilo and Stitch. Check. I want to go to a carnival. Check. And then I want to go to my cousin's house and grab some food. Check. Check, check, check. How was Lilo and Stitch, by the way? That smashed record that the box happened. I didn't see the original for some reason when I was a child. I wasn't interested in it. Neither have I. Yeah, but I saw it in preparation for this one. The original one was 10 out of 10. This one was kind of 9 out of 10. They bend some of the rules in order to make it, but it was cool.

00:10:28 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 5:

I saw that instead of Tom Cruise acting like he's a teenager again.

00:10:32 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 4:

I got a son, bro. He wanted to go see Lilo on stage.

00:10:35 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 5:

Everybody kept talking to me about, are you going to see Mission Impossible? I've never seen one of the Mission Impossible movies. Not one? You're missing out, bro. Are you an action fan? I love action movies, but I have a hard time. And I think Tom Cruise, honestly, I know people don't like him because of his Scientology. I like Tom Cruise as an actor. I think most movies that he's in, I thought that Top Gun, Maverick thing was freaking awesome. you know but to me seeing him like on a plane wing you know just to me doesn't work well what do you mean i don't know he just is yeah like when he's like like holding on to the plane it's like tom cruise doesn't come and he looks by the way so goofy right now listen he is one of the few

00:11:14 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 4:

movie stars that will do his own stunts he broke his that's what i heard his film i well i've i've

00:11:20 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 5:

seen the interviews and i've heard that i saw him on pat mcafee show and mcafee was talking to him about that, about how he gives him props for the fact that he does all his own stuff. And I was like, yeah, I get it, but it's like, I don't know. I've never seen any of those movies. Poncho, what's up, Poncho?

00:11:38 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, my favorite radio show.

00:11:40 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Poncho, we love you. Thanks, buddy. What's going on?

00:11:45 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 3:

So I've gotten Toys and Ivy only once in my life and it was not very fun. I don't know how I ended up getting it. I got it all over my body, all of my junk, and I even transferred it over to my boyfriend. Oh, no!

00:11:59 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. You're kidding me. So, wait a second. You get it on your junk, and then you guys do your thing, and it actually will give him it on his junk?

00:12:10 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he got it all over his body, too. Gay sex. Whoa. Wow, that's crazy.

00:12:16 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 5:

By the way, if I was him, I'd be wondering who you were with, Poncho, if you gave me any kind of thing down there.

00:12:25 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 3:

I think I got it from my mom's house, to be honest.

00:12:28 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 5:

Really? Does mom have a lot of wooded areas by her?

00:12:32 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 3:

Yes. She lives on the farm.

00:12:34 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, jeez. That's crazy. Was he pissed at you?

00:12:38 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 3:

No, it was kind of expected. I mean, what do you do at that point?

00:12:43 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 4:

Do they got cream you rub on each other? Because that would be, you know, that's a little vibe, right? Alamine. They do have a pink bottle.

00:12:49 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 5:

By the way, I'm sorry. There's no vibe to rubbing cream for itchies and scratchies from poison ivy. What's up, Leah?

00:12:56 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 1:

Hi, guys. How are you? We're good.

00:12:58 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 5:

What's going on, Leah?

00:13:00 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, first time, long time. Hey! First of the day. Shannon, I'm sorry to hear that you got the itchy scratchies, but I will say that you only get poison ivy if you're allergic to it.

00:13:14 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wow. That's another thing you're allergic to.

00:13:17 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 4:

I'm allergic to everything, so this makes sense. I just don't know how I've gone this long without ever getting it. Isn't that crazy? I randomly get it.

00:13:25 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 5:

Man, I didn't realize that that's the case. Stephanie, what's happening?

00:13:30 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. First time, long time. Hey, there's Stephanie on the phone.

00:13:35 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 5:

Another one that got poison ivy?

00:13:38 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I got it from my dog and my husband. I got it. I had that and shingles at the same time, and I got it on my poofa.

00:13:45 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, come on. You got it on your poofa.

00:13:48 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 2:

How'd you do that? Oh, so uncomfortable. I was on steroids for two weeks.

00:13:55 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 4:

How did you get it down there?

00:13:58 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 2:

From touching my dog. Oh, gee. And then touching your cat. Yes, you can get it from your dog. It's a pity farm. You don't know that they have it.

00:14:08 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. That's crazy. Wow. Well, God, I don't know what I'd rather have. I don't know if I'd rather have it on my fupa or on my privates. I think I'd rather have it on my fupa. Yeah.

00:14:19 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 2:

No, it's very uncomfortable, especially when you've got a big fupa.

00:14:22 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 6:
